 Welcome to the MLP Forums August 2024 Art contest 

The theme for this month is:

The Canterlot Avenue Carnival

To help promote their event and social network, this month's art contest is dedicated to our friends at Canterlot Avenue.

They are hosting the Canterlot Avenue Carnival throughout this month! Please check them out and join in on their fun if you can (you can find the rules for their event here  ; click "View More" if you can't see their event rules).

 

Requirements

• Create artwork representing anything happening at the Canterlot Avenue Carnival
• For some ideas, they can be based on:
  • the existing booths (you may want to wait a bit for more booths to be set up, or head on over and set up your own!)
  • any RP's taking place here
• Both canon and original characters are allowed, as well as any MLP generation
• All members of MLPF are eligible
• No AI art will be accepted, however it can be used for initial inspiration
• Photoshopping or editing images created by others to make your submission is not allowed
• Animations no longer than 10 seconds are allowed

 

Deadline

Submissions will close on August 31st, 2024.

 

Judging

Public voting will be open during September 1st - 5th, 2024. (Due to some technical difficulties, the voting period will instead be between September 2nd - 9th). Afterwards, voting will be finalized within staff and results will be posted as soon as we are able to share them!

 

Winners

Winners will be granted the Canterlot Artist Rank and Badge. All entries will be eligible to receive an Art Achievement Bronze Badge. Future participation will count toward Silver and Gold Art Badges.

Exclusive to this art contest: Participants who upload their submission to Canterlot Avenue with the hashtag #CanterlotCarnival are eligible to receive the Blue Ribbon badge at Canterlot Avenue!

Quick update! For anyone entering this contest, if you also upload your art to Canterlot Avenue with the hashtag #CanterlotCarnival, then you can receive the Blue Ribbon badge there!

Hey! This event is for MLP Forums' Canterlot Artist Badge for this site!

 

As for the Blue ribbon badge, that goes to the most liked individual item with the hashtag #CanterlotCarnival !

 

The Fair Favorite Badge goes to the highest voted booth!

@ComanderZhabikKlavik Yes, but it must be located in Canterlot. You can view the booths that people have made already on the event page at CA for some inspiration if you need ideas!
