So, in the last timeline, we see that Equestria has turned into a barren desert. Probably all living things are dead. In your opinion, what could have led to this? How does the main six relate to this? Are there any survivors left in this timeline? What about Celestia, Luna, and Cadence in this timeline? I'm waiting for your opinion

Maybe Twilight stumbled into the Fallout: Equestria timeline. Any survivors are in Stables, or are either mutants or Lost Lands Ponies (as presented in Dark Skies Over Equestria for the My Little Pony Roleplaying Game).

I think maybe the villains went to war with each other seeing that “Grogar” never brought them all together, and their war had an effect on all of Equestria turning it into a wasteland.

Before the announcement for Celestia and Luna's retirement, I kind of pictured this being the aftermath of a tidally locked Equestria, wherein the sun and moon have stopped moving and in the absence of magic, the extremes of thermal exchange have caught up to the World via global devastation and storms.

There's a few issues with this idea of course. One glaring one that I only just now realized, is that Starlight and Twilight were most likely traveling to the same point of time in the future, and it would take significantly longer for these affects to reach that level of,,, extinction. So something much worse must have taken place in a shorter period of time.

Also, I have no basis for this concept within any Canon

Could Celestia transform into a Daybreaker in this wasteland timeline? It's hard to say what caused this, but it's probably true. After turning Celestia into a Daybreaker, she simply stopped lowering the sun. Due to the heat, severe fires started, which eventually led to the fact that Equestria simply burned out

@ahiquqbqi If we go with the Daybreaker theory, the real question is what would lead up to that, and is she still alive?
