Hey, if you're still here, and you still love fim or watch it, leave your comment!

Hi everyone, yesterday I joined this forum. And I realized that almost all the discussions of the show already had been taken 6 years ago now, sites down, there's almost nothing of merch, cons dismantled, there's not many big fan art projects. I feel like I arrived late to the party. Like everything already passed and so much people moved on.

So let me know if you're here, and how much time you plan to be in this fandom of ponies.

  • The title was changed to Hey, if you're still here, and you still love fim or watch it, leave your comment!

I'll be here as long as apple bloom keeps waving her silly arms (legs?)

Yeah, things are more low key these days, but there are still things happening. There's a group of animators who are currently working on a complete reanimation of Magical Mystery Cure for example. They came out with a reanimation of a TYT short at the end of last year. And this is just one of many cool things happening!

I haven't really watched the show much lately, but I'm still part of the fandom and have no reason to be leaving any time soon.

I'm still here.  Not as often as I used to be, but I'm around occasionally.  I tend to post blogs more than anything else now.  I've kind of said everything there is to be said about Pony.  But I don't foresee any time in the future where I don't pop in now and then for a blog.

I'll always love the show.  I still use Pony desktop wallpapers, still listen to the music, still watch Pony youtube videos occasionally.  That'll never change.

Hi, I admit that it has been a while that I'm no more in the site because of MLP, but because it's a place I like and I have friends here. But about MLP, I still like G4, Equestria Girls and Pony Life/G4.5, quite less than the first time I experienced them of course, I was obsessed with MLP back then, nowadays I don't have that excitement about it anymore, but I still like it and I even still enjoy drawing ponies.

Understand the way you feel, franchise is really not in its best days. When Make Your Mark ended in 2023 it was the last time I saw the fandom in a quite noticeable hype, but the series was also a huge letdown for a lot of them, then the only thing they got in 2024 was Tell your Tale Season 2 which sucked even more for them (me included), there I think the hype was already dying very fast. Then TyT got cancelled along with G5 as a whole and that was the last nail in the coffin of the hype.

New releases helps a fandom to feel more alive, call the attention of new fans and makes old fans talk about the series again. So far in 2025 there's nothing new about MLP going on, so a lot of people in the fandom barely have something to talk about regarding it, and a lot for sure also moved on to other things, or decided to stay because of G4.

That doesn't mean the fandom is dead though. Many channels still upload new content, sites, Derpibooru still have a lot of new fanarts daily. So thanks to the fandom MLP is still alive and will continue alive. It's just not in a hype moment for now. ~☆

Yeah, I just carry the wish that I could've taken part of this fandom those days and get excited with you all about the new episodes, or the new fan made. I can see the unpopularity of G5. And it's sad that everything just happened. At least I'm here with the people that stayed, waiting for something cool for 2026/2027

The only thing you "missed" was all the early fandom drama where the world was ending because Twilight became an alicorn, where oh my gosh did you hear the show totally ends in season 5?, where every other week you hear about something or other that you're not in on and missing out anyway. There's still plenty of merch, plenty of active conventions (one of which I signed up to run a panel at!), plenty of art projects. The only thing not there is the viral spread of the fandom into absolutely every crack in the internet. What's left is a regular, cozy fandom, and that's just how I like it. Especially since G5 yet continues with the TYT leaks.

Topics like this do make me kind of sad. The show's still there, more available on more platforms than it ever was, and you have an entire forum of superfans to still talk to in every regard. I'm over here, an earnest fan of generations other than G4, yet the people posting in those sections are few and far between. You'd be lucky to make it a day without a poster in here, yet G5 goes weeks regularly without it. Recognize the community you do have for what it is. Appreciate it. You never know what you do have until it goes away, after all.

My personal love for the fandom has diminished after it started treating me differently for diverging. But if it's your primary focal point, you'll fit right in. Go get 'em. :rddetermined:

Hi, thanks for answering. And sorry if my comment made you a bit sad. I wanted to express something I was feeling, maybe out of ignorance. I'm still getting used to the forum, and maybe I just saw the oldest things. If the fandom is still alive and there's still people doing things. I'd wanna apologize.

Hey, it's part of life, no harm done. I'm just more up-front with my reactions than most. In the end it's not any skin off my back. Enjoy what you want, how you want - there's definitely lots of it, and lots there to do it with you.

I'll be honest, I thought that the fandom was turning into a cynical and negative place, especially on Youtube, but, I'm so, so happy to have discovered a forum like this. It truly warms my heart 😊

Friendship is Magic is my favorite show of all-time!

While I may not watch it every single day I do get in the mood to watch an episode or two sometimes.

I just joined.

Yesterday, I came across some old fanfic from Ghost of Heraclitus (which I highly recommend). It made me want to watch the show again -- is it ever a bad time for sweet, innocent friendship?

I'd rather join a forum with real fans than cruise through some Facebook group or subreddit which is mostly memes and nonsense. I'm glad to be here.

Would anyone like to rewatch with me? I just rewatched the pilot, but I'll wait a bit before proceeding if anyone would like to rewatch me.

FiM is honestly addictive. I go through cycles of extreme interest, spaced out by periods of 'yeah I like it but I don't think/do much about it on a daily basis.' I browse fanart almost daily, regardless.

I seriously doubt I will ever fully escape the pony. They've caught me lol. :DD

I also just joined, and am also glad this forum isn't what I found on reddit.

I'm also rewatching. Just reached season two.
