gaming Building designs wanted

I am making a minecraft server world, and it starts in a city. the problem is... i can't design pretty uildings... can anyone give me some designs please

You have run into the Minecraft problem of building, often times just building stuff helps. But most detailed buildings I tend to see are built using 3-4 materials and employ steps and half blocks. Often in places you wouldn't normally use them.

 

I also recommend scouring the YouTubes for larger builds and trying to look at some of tricks some builders use to add detail.

It is far from good, but it is an example of trying out building style. It is merely a courtyard with some stuff in it, with nothing really finished.

I do recommend for most builds to go with brick, cobblestone, stone brick and slabs. And try to use them in certain quantities to create a nice looking exterior. the slabs look well for tiled floors, and if you are on a Minecraft server with Essentials turned on. I recommend using "/i 44:6" to get a half slab you normally can't access.

IDEA can you help me building the city? i have a server. i just load in the world there and you and anyone else who wants to can help. it is an hamachi server though, the name is MLPserver(1,2 or 3) and the password is mlp

If I had the time to really work on other projects I would, but I honestly don't have the time to do so, I can comment on screenshots. but joining servers and looking around is not an option, especially if I have to install hamachi for it.
