"OH! Where are my manners? My name is Paperback. I'm studying poetry here in Trottingham. What's your name?" She inquired.

Vortex flew right out of his hotel room, flying right by Kyrstal heading towards Royal Hills.

"I have to find it! For the villagers still alive!" "For...the whole castle." Vortex said flying past them.

"COME ON WINGS! I CAN GO FASTER!" I yell trying to get my wing power to 13. It finally reached that as I yelled: "YES!!" I flew toward the Royal Hills and over them.

And with that she poofed herself back to her hotel room.

"Oh my, that is the tackiest saddle bag I have ever seen. What are these so-called hip fashion designers thinking," the cream pegasus grumbles, making short-hand notes for later.

 

Tired of her current spot, she stands and stretches before walking down the cobblestone pathways. Perhaps there was a nice diner nearby where she could grab some brunch.

And with that she poofed herself back to her hotel room.

I sped up to the fallen kingdom. It was just destroyed ruins with jungle vines. I quickly sped back to my hotel room to research something.

Vortex Researches the old castle. Keeping it a secret I used to rule a big country a few miles away from Equestria. "Man I am tired."

"Oh no, ohnoohnoohno, I'm late. My teacher will be so angry with me!"

She dashed down the stairs, and past the town square. She sure was getting her exercise this morning. Panting hard, her horn glowed a deep violet, and so did the door, which swung open with unnecessary force. Horn still glowing, she teleported a few floors up. Landing right on top of a brown earth pony, sending them both tumbling to the ground.

 

"Excuse me, young lady, but whatever is your name," the pony asked. She answered truthfully, with a red tint. "Well! What a pleasant first impression Miss. But it just so happens that I am your new teacher."

 

She just hung her head in shame.

Krystal notices that the pegasus pony she noticed earlier (Lance Wing) seems to be looking for something "Hey there" she says to her

I just researched that inside the ruins was poisoned. I flew right to Paperback. "Paperback! Whatever you do, DO NOT go to the ruins of Fallen Kingdom! I just heard it is poisonous there!"

From the corner of her eye, Lace Wing notices the blue and white pegasus. "Her cutie mark is tres chic," she says to herself before approaching the stranger.

"Hello, Darling," she says politely, smiling sweetly, "What excellent timing you have. I was just wondering if you know a good spot to have brunch."

I zoomed to a diner for breakfast. "I am starving!" Vortex flew right into a door and sat down and ordered right away.

The doors of the study hall burst open, shooting out that crazy stallion from earlier.

 

"Paperback! Whatever you do, DO NOT go to the ruins of Fallen Kingdom! I just heard it is poisonous there!"

 

"What! How do you know my name? You dashed off before I could...are you one of those silver tongue Pies? You best get away from me if you are. Besides, what's this Fallen Kingdom (OOC: Seriously though, are you even planning this?)? It sounds amazing!" Paperback started in vain, as the stallion had already escaped earshot.

 

Her professor butted in, "Miss Paperback, the Fallen Kingdom's are a part of an old empire, long past. It's o'er yonder of the Royal Hills, if I am correct..."

 

The two stared at each other.

 

"We're totally going," they said in unison.

Vortex ate a stack of hay sandwiches, and darted out of the restaruant, all the way to the Library to check out books on the Equestrian Empire.

Vortex slowly flew from bookshelf to bookshelf, looking for the Equestrian Empire 1st edition book. He finally found it. "There it is!" He took it and read it for the rest of the day.

"Oh, wonderful. Thank you, darling," she responds with delight, beginning her stride over, sort of ushering the other pony with her. "How absolutely lovely of you. Though I'm not fond of peppers. Tell me, you absolutely gorgeous pony, are you from Trottingham?"

 

Lace Wing smiled as she rambled. If she was leaving the other pony trailing in the conversation, she wasn't noticing. She was too use to the fast conversations of Canterlot.

Vortex came swirling past Lace Wing with a book and went to sit on a bench at the fountain in the city park area.

He started reading again. Page to page his face got deeper in the book.

"No, I'm from Cloudsdayle" she said passively "and you? Oh, I'm Krystal by the way."

Paperback and Professor Marin were hiking over the Royal Hills. They finally came to the top of the last green roll of land, and in the distance of a stretch of flat land was a huge tower.

 

"Well...I suppose that couldn't be it, huh?"

"That...that...that crazy thing was right? I've been searching, searching all my life for THESE ruins, and the ENTIRE time, they were right by my university!" The professor dashed down the hill to the door of the tower.

 

By the time Paperback had gotten there, the Professor had already busted the door down and trotted inside. Paperback and the Professor reached the last step of the staircase, yet it gave way to Marin's weight, who reached for Paper's hoof and tripped her instead.

 

*oomf*bump*

 

The two ponies landed hard on the stone floor, which was littered by lifeless corpses, still fully intact.

*COUGH* She looked at Marin who was now on the ground wheezing. Maybe it's asthma?

 

"Are you okay, Mar? Marin, are you okay? Marin!" She remembered something about that crazy black stallion saying something about poison. That was it, it must have been poison gas!

 

"You're going to be okay Marin, just hold on," She exclaimed while conjuring an airtight chamber for them. It would last hours, so maybe they could figure out an escape plan until then...

Vortex Wing finished his book, flying back to the library only to realise that edition 2 is out of the library. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Vortex said yelling.

He soon went to Forgotten Falls, collecting a sample of spring water to use for a science project.

Lace Wing gives a bit of an 'of course' look when she hears the pegasus is from Cloudsdale. "I'm not surprised. Kystal, hm...I like it. Very simple and pretty. The name's Lace Wing. I'm from Canterlot myself. My mother was a unicorn, born and raised there. My father was a Wonderbolt. He always was a bit sad that I never used my wings for sports. I preferred fashion like my mother. Still, I absolutely adore the Wonderbolts. I follow their races nearly religiously. I had to miss today's, sadly, what with my monthly fashion scouting. Poor planning on my part. Am I talking to much, dear?"

 

The cream pegasus smiles at her poor, unsuspecting brunch buddy.
