Creating this thread in RP section as it is heavily structured towards Roleplaying and character interaction. If you've ever heard of the game Werewolf (aka, Mafia), this version is extremely similar.

 

Here is how it works:

 

There are four main roles that exist in this game, which are given out in secret. The fifth role is the Judge, which is the person who directs the game.

  • Assassin - these players are trying to eliminate all other players that are not assassins
  • Detective - Only per match, this player gets to plan Investigations into uncovering a player's identity.
  • Medic - Also only one per match, this player tries to rescue whomever is assassinated.
  • Civilian - this group of players make up everyone else; they do not have any special abilities.
How to Win:

 

The Assassins win if, at the end of the round, there are more Assassins then other players.

 

The other players win if all the Assassins have been eliminated.

 

 

How to Start:

  • If you wish to join, you just need to post in this thread and select a character to play as. No new players will be added while a match is in progress.
  • This game takes place within the MLP universe.
  • OCs are NOT allowed for this, sorry. You must pick a character from the show (character sheet is not needed).
  • It is recommended you pick a character with a reasonable amount of canon.
  • After the signup period is over, I will PM each player with their assigned role.
  • Play begins when I have created the appropriate thread for it.
  • ALL posts in the other thread MUST be in-character
Phases of Play:
  • These three actions happen at the same time:

    • The Assassins (in a secret group PM with me) vote on who to assassinate. Majority rules.
    • The Medic (in a PM with me) chooses who to try and save.
    • The Detective (in a PM with me) chooses who to Investigate.
  • The Assassin's target is killed. If the Medic happened to pick the same target, that person is instead spared.

    • A dead player cannot talk other than in the OOC thread. If you were a player and then died, do NOT reveal any details you learned while playing the game - you're dead!
  • I will inform the Detective if the player they Investigated is an assassin or not.

  • About 30 - 60 minutes of Roleplaying discussion is allotted.

    • Players may talk about anything during this time, but they must remain in character.
  • Accusation Phase begins.

    • Any player may make a formal accusation against any other player.
    • If making a formal accusation, include [Accusation] in your post.
    • While in-character, Roleplay your accusation as to why you believe that character should be accused.
    • Only ONE active accusation at a time.
    • Players may talk during this time as well.
    • The accused player must make a post in their defense, labeled [Defense]
    • After both the Accusation and Defense have been posted, players may vote.
    • When you vote, you must include Guilty or Not Guilty in your post, bolded.
    • Voting ends when one of three conditions are met:

      • A majority has been reached
      • 12 hours have passed
      • All players have voted
    • In the case of a tie, the accusation is meet with a ruling of Not Guilty
    • If the player is found Guilty, they are executed and are now deceased.
    • If the player is found Not Guilty, then the Accusation phase restarts.
    • Accusation Phase ends if;

      • A player is found Guilty
      • There are three Not Guilty verdicts in one round
  • End of Round Phase

    • Win conditions are now checked.
    • If neither side wins, then the round round begins, starting at Phase 1
NOTES:
  • You must remain in character at all times while posting in the main thread.
  • Do not post any sensitive game details in the OOC thread please (unless it has already been revealed in the main thread).
  • Use as much RP as you can - exploit character weaknesses, use their strengths, manipulate events from the show however you want!
  • When making an Accusation, saying "Because I saw it!" or something like that is unacceptable. Every assassination takes place without anyone seeing it happen.
  • You may use any information in the PMs however you want, but you may NOT use screenshots or anything of that type.
  • YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EDIT ANY POST IN THE MAIN THREAD

Can I be Big Mac? The Silent Characters are always my favorite. Also, can he be an assassin? :3

He's really easy to act as, but I really doubt we know enough about him to properly play as him.

Flim, Flam, Shining Armor, Pipsqueak, Featherweight, Breaburn, Snips, Snails, Hoity Toity, Prince Blueblood, Joe, Filthy Rich, and Thunderlane are all male ponies. Many of them do not have much content associated with them, however. There is also Discord, Cranky Doodle Donkey, Iron Will, Little Strongheart, Chief Thunderhooves, and Gustave LeGrande as non-ponies ... but also most of them with little content.

 

But you must choose one.

As long as you make sure she doesn't get hurt ;(,

I decided that I'm going to go Blueblood if Rarity takes an appearance.

I'll go Iron Will if Trixie, Discord, or Diamond Tiara are chosen.

 

If none of these are me, i'll flip a coin.
