The teapot-thing could be a little smaller too, or just make Pinkie larger. Yay.

More colours could be used for a "shading" effect.

Other than the small imperfections caused by these types of images, whether they be not enough roundness to certain areas or a small faults of coloring choices to places, this really isn't that bad. I'd recommend using GIMP or Paint Tool SAI and digitally fixing up the image and maybe a simple background to it. The only thing I'd recommend here is to make the tail of Pinkie round out a bit more and reconnect it to the lamp; it would make the image a bit more interesting to look at and add a more wispy feel to Pinkie in a whole.

 

Side note, it's a scary thought trying to imagine Pinkie as a Genie.
