The pony we kent was NOT Nova. He was probably some follower of him. Nova was a unicorn who lived in the time that equestria was founded. He was sorta of a mad scientist. He combined Malumai (bat ponies), changelings, and buffalo to make a super soldier called the Alicorn Soldiers. If you want better details, read "The Good King" RP.

 

Anyway, the Alicorn Soldiers and real Alicorns are not the same thing. Lily is a normal Alicorn, but this guy has found a connection between them.
