Go ahead and roleplay.

The beginning starts out in Ponyville. Nopony knows about vampires until they've been seen, and no other town/city should know about the attacks until later. The only exception is Cloudesdale.

 

Daelus remained in the Everfree Forest, watching the last bit of the sun set. After he was sure the top of it had went down, he leaped out from the tree line, staring ahead in to Ponyville.

 

Cora was working late this night, making sure all the inhabitants of the Aquarium were well fed. She shook some fish food in to a tank, then walked back to her office. She was alone at the Aquarium, her co-workers had left.

Looking up, Atum realized that night was about to begin. Today had been another failure, he was still unemployed and still friendless. All the other ponies saw him as an outcast, and although a few smiled at him, he knew that it was just facade hiding their contempt. Sighing, Atum walked towards his house hoping nopony saw him. What a lovely night, the cool air and the growing silence. Just once I wish something exciting would happen in my life. Just once I wish my life would have meaning. Arriving at his front door, Atum decided that he wasn't ready to go inside, instead he sat down and rested in front of his house.

Lily saw the sun set. Being a vampire lord (or lady, as she preferred) she could go out at anytime, but night was the time were her clan could be with her. She smiled, showing her fangs. She was in the ever free forest with her clan as they were preparing to feed. She walked slowly into town. It was dead. Quiet as a mouse. Nopony was awake, except for them.

 

Lily looked around, she was mistaken. There was a pony sitting on a doorstep. "what are you doing up?" she thought to herself "are you not tired?"

Atum was staring at the sky when he thought he heard something. Scanning the town, he saw a dark shape rushing by one of the homes. I thought I was finally alone. Nopony should be up. Instead of getting up to investigate, Atum just sat there trying to ignore whoever was out there. He was convinced that if he just kept his head down and stayed quiet, nopony would ever bother him (then again, nopony ever seemed to acknowledge his existence). Convinced he was once again alone, Atum went back to staring at the sky.

Lily rushed away as the stallion looked in her direction. She stepped out of the shadows, hiding her fangs and wings to make her look like a normal pony. "why, hello there!" she said, trying to smile without showing her fangs.

Noticing that a pony was standing in front of him, he kept staring at the sky hoping that she think he was just a statute. Unfortunately, his "disguise" was not working.

 

"O hi. Um. Sorry. I. Well. What are you doing out at night? And why are you talking to me?" Realizing he was being rude and accusatory, Atum tried to speak again but words failed him.

Cora looked out the window. She finished up her work, and left the Aquarium, locking it behind her.

 

Daelus walked into Ponyville for the first time in 1000 years. He flapped his bat-like wings, soaring over the rooftops.

Starbolt stepped out of her house, it was dark perfect for the spell she wanted to practice.

She walked towards the outskirts of the Everfree forest so she won't disturb anypony with her magic.

'Okay let's see if I can finally get this right.' She thought as she prepared her spell.

Snow Flake was out in the Everfree forest picking ferns, fruits, and herbs whenever he could find them. "Oh look a few strawberries." Snow Flake thought to himself as he trotted over to pick the fruit.

As Lust watched the sun set beyond the horizon he noticed a light blue unicorn walking toward the EverFree forest he grinned and flew toward her. When he was just above her he quietly landed behind her and hid his wings and teeth, " You know it's not safe to be wondering around the outskirts of the EverFree forest. what exactly are you doing doing out here all alone at this hour ?" he asked tilting his head to the side.

Starbolt turned around startled by the pony's sudden appearance.

"Don't worry I can take care of myself." She replied.

"What about you? Why are you out at this hour?" She added.

'Something is off about him.' She thought.

"looking for something to do its been a while since I have been to Ponyville and I thought I would look at what has changed, Take care of yourself, " said Lust turning down the trail towards Ponyville.

<This one will take me a while to break,

she is smart and powerful but I will find her again.> he thought as he walked thru the field towards Ponyville.

Daelus landed with a thud on Sugarcube Corner. He narrowed his eyes, peering down at the ponies entering their houses

'I may be too late...' He thought, scowling. What would it take for him to get his fangs on some prey? He leaped down onto the streets.

When lust got into Ponyville he saw two unicorns talking on the porch of a house at the edge of town when he looked closer he recognized one of the pony's Lust grinned and walked over. "Hello Lily. who's your friend ?" He asked glancing over at the unicorn.
