New villian?

Im not too sure if they will bring back old villains like discord or introduce some new villains. I want a new villain and possibly a main villain that stars in more than 1 episode and appears constantly through season 3.

show the spolier on Edit 2, at the end of it there are 3 pictures of a evil looking pony, im not sure i like the looks of him. There could possibly be your villian.

Hopefully they'll make the villain harder to defeat with an awesome back story on how he turned evil (like Discord or something). It would surely make an awesome episode

I think Chrysalis is going to return. At the end of the season 2 finale, you could see her flying off (like Team Rocket from Pokemon) but she didn't really look defeated physically. So maybe we might see her return. Only this time with a new purpose.

 

I also hope they add in some new villians as well, and show more of the mane six in the finale (season 2's finale was more focused on Twilight and her family).

Well that was sorta understandable. I mean even though the entire cast is important to the shows progression Twilight is the one that was specifically trained by Celestia in the magical arts and could be seen as the one bringing them in and holding them together; more or less a leader. If they were to have a finale based on any of the ponies, it was bound to be her.

 

I am interested in seeing Rainbow Dash's family though. There is literally no information of her or Fluttershy's families but we do know they were old time friends.....

It'd be interesting to see the Changelings again in Season 3. It's possible we'll see them again; firstly, because it seems a waste to introduce a brand new villain and race of creatures at the very end of a season with no intention of ever bringing them up again. Secondly, nothing very "final" ever happened to Chrysalis. Nightmare Moon was transformed back into Luna, Discord was turned back into stone, but Chrysalis is still up and about, as far as we know, and able to appear again in Season 3.
