MVC NVMXD JVRXD 2,406 July 29, 2012 Share July 29, 2012 Well, unlike png's and jpg's which store pixel information on a grid, vectors store information of lines and colors/backgrounds in relation to each other, so it's infinitely resizable. Or something like that. 1 I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS On 4/28/2013 at 8:13 PM, gooM said: Djenty...man you are crazy, but an awesome sort of crazy
Swoop 2,279 July 29, 2012 Share July 29, 2012 Heya Silverhoof, I think you'll find that this topic will answer your questions regarding vector graphics in considerable detail. If you'd like a shorter summary however, a vector graphic is essentially the use of a group of points, lines, curves, and shapes to represent an image. Because a vector graphic is created by using set lines and joins (refered to as paths and anchors), the images can be resized without reducing the quality of the image.
My little pwny 1,392 July 29, 2012 Share July 29, 2012 Do you know about all that annoying math like algebra, trig, and calculus? That's what is in a vector. It's so you don't get a pixely look to your art. Most computer artists use vectors to have seemless edges to their images. Hope that answers your question. 1 See you November 8th, 2014! http://mlpforums.com/topic/32494-important-announcement-of-mine-please-read-the-whole-thing/
