Since I am still fairly new to the forums... I just wondered whaytFriday Movie night was all about? Where do you join in to watch together? If anypony participates in this event actively is it worth trying out? Edited by GoneAirbourne

Every friday the ''forum'' stream 2-3 movies on this synchtube channel: http://www.synchtube.com/r/mlpforums

 

Everybody can join and watch the movies. And of course you can request your own favorite: http://mlpforums.com...__hl__synchtube

 

Last week we watched all the Toy Story movies!

Wow! awesome hmmm.. lets see now a forum page with a really great community + events that participated regularly... that is what I'm talking about :) Sounds like a ton of fun! Im looking forward to the next one.

To expand on Vicke's post: there'll be a topic posted in Canterlot Castle on Friday, a few hours before the movies begin.

 

Said thread will say what movies are being shown, and also the times. (Although they're usually the same every week)

Friday Movie Night are a series of events held every Friday with the objective of bringing all the members a bit closer together (or so I assume) through watching movies and having fun! It's hosted on the Forum's very own Synchtube channel and there's no sign-up for said channel required. You can request movies on this nifty little thread we have here after Friday - you can ask to watch up to two movies each week, and we have a voting system to finalize which two movies we all want to watch. Polls open on Tuesday and close on Thursday - usually the polls go up around every Tuesday afternoon so I would suggest having the Request Thread bookmarked for easy access. Official announcements regarding Friday Movie Night are posted in Canterlot Castle once everything is finalized.

To expand on this further, it's more than just movies, too. Before and after the set of movies *and sometimes in-between them, but not as of late*, there is a long line up of Youtube videos that the entire stream watches. Any person in the stream, even guests, can add to the list of videos the stream will watch. PMV, original music, whatever is on Youtube: the only rules are it needs to be pony related, and it can't be too ridiculously not safe for work, as our forum does have younger members. Often, we end up watching pony episodes after the movies are done for the night, because often, in fact usually, there are members who stay up later, and are up for watching episodes.

 

It's usually pretty fun. Everything from people juggling to get 'Leader' status so that they can make funny polls, to people joking around and making fun of anything currently going on in the viewed video, it all proves to be very entertaining and worthwhile. All newbies to the board should definitely attend.
