Anima started attacking the air units with pure chaos.

five pegasi fell from the air, crippled wings

"Heads up!" derpy shouted.

"Woah! That was too close!" Fire Force said as magic projectiles flew right past him, he knew Anima and his army were starting to attack the sky, he had to be extra cautious.

More pegasi were falling down from their attacks with their wings broken. Fire Force's heart was racing, adrenaline was rushing through his body, but he could not give up and let everypony down.

[The Razor Wing 879]

The battle in-sewed for hours. Bodies were falling from the sky from both sides. Troops blood was shed all over the ground. The dead and dieing where all over the place. The city and civilians where still safe inside the shield. Just then Anima started to charge his dark aura. FEEL THE PAIN!!! Just then he shot a ball of dark matter from his eye at the city. Dizzy fix the shield before he fires again! Im on it! Dizzy and some other unicorns started to fix the city shield. Just then Ainma charged up another one. YOU CANT HOLD OUT FOREVER DIEHARD!! He fires at the city again. The pulse from the blast backfired on some of the other unicorns throwing them back. Some of their horns shattered right off their heads, others where killed by the dark matter shock. But Dizzy and some others still stood strong. Keep it up guys. We got this. Just then Anima reached out for Diehard. NOW IV GOT YOU!! IM GOING TO MAKE SURE I KILL YOU THIS TIME!!! Diehard tried to get free but Anima had to good of a grip on him. Diehard looked him in the eye as he charged his attack. So this is how it ends for me? Damn this sucks.....IM PUTTING EVERYTHING IV GOT INTO THIS BLAST DIEHARD. TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOTHING BUT ASH WHEN IM DONE WITH YOU. Anima's eye becomes the brightest thing in the darkness. Im coming home girls....Diehard leans his head back ready to die. But just before Anima fired his attack......Diehard no!!!!!! Nova rams Anima in the head with everything hes got. Knocking his head in another direction. Anima's blast fired off into the distance. The blast was so powerful it broke through and cleared the clouds out of the sky. Everything stopped as both sides look at the stars and the black moon and sun. It showed them what they were fighting for. Its...... its....lovely. Wow.......Its been many of years since iv seen the sky like that. As Anima recovered from the hit he looks for who hit him. AHHHHHGGGGGG.....WHO DID THAT!? He looks down and sees a blue pony with a mane of the night sky......NOVA......He throws Diehard to the ground and grabs Nova. IV BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU FOR QUITE SOME TIME.

Lightning stopped to look back at the city's crippled shield. As she looks around she sees many dead ponies, almost a blanket of them covered the ground.

She turns back in time to see nova and diehard in a scrap with anima

"we can't follow them..." she replied "it is immanent death"

Lightning nodded in agreement then flew down to diehard as he blacked out.

"Somepony! we need medical aid!" she yelled

Medics poured out from the city to asses diehard and the other fallen soldiers.

"how does he look?" she said...

"he's coming to." a medic said as diehard's breathing regulates and his eyes slowly open.

"relax for a bit, we don't want you to die on us" the medic said as he left diehard with lightning and fire force.

"well... you've looked better" lightning said "but you're alive"

"we thought we were about to lose you" fire force said.

 

Medics can be heard rushing up and down the halls attending to hundreds of wounded soldiers

 

"don't worry diehard." fireforce said "we will get nova back"

Diehard tries to sit up and speak. We.....need to get.....Nova back. He is our last hope. Gets up and tries to walk. Nova is the key to him winning this fight. I remember the princesses telling me about what will happen. And its not good.

 

At Anima's base. Oh thank the darkness i found you Nova. Now i can make my perfect world.

"And what makes you think i'll be helping you anima?" replied nova as he spit at the fiend.

 

Ignoring the insult anima replies

"well you don't want anything happening to flare... do you?" he replied with a grin

 

*meanwhile

"well we should just go get him." replied lightning.

"yeah we can't leave him behind" said fire force "let's go sneak in and bust him out"

They looked to where diehard was standing as to hope for some sort of response on the plan.

We can go to his citadel but it wont be easy. Iv only been there once and barely made it out alive. But we need to plan this out.

 

At Anima's citadel. Oh. Did i strike a nerve? Thats what i thought. BRING ME THE GIRL!!!

 

At Anima's Citadel they bring Flare out. Whats the matter Nova? Surprised to see your sister in my possession? I have had her for years now and have been waiting for you to show up. Puts Nova in the cage with his sister. Now i can remake this world as i see fit.

 

As Diehard talks to the others. Iv been to his citadel before but i almost did not make it back. And this was before the world went to buck. But the only down side is he lives near The Breach.

"the breach!?" shouted lightning not realising how loud she just yelled "that's very very far from here diehard, are you sure we can't make this happen a different way?"

 

She looked to diehard and could tell that this was the only way to accomplish the task

"well okay... but how are we going to get there in time?"

Diehard looked to Lighting. There is only one other way to do this. But it need a blood sacrifice and if not done properly it can have a very bad outcome. Thats half of where my family went. But the only way to get there is by clouds, land, or the sea. And every way is going to take a long time.

Lightning looks around the group, then back at diehard

"Let's do this!" she said.

"let's head out" said fire force "the sooner the better."

We are going to need a lot of supplies for this trip. And there is one way i know by heart that we can take. We can go southwest to the Broken Leylands, and then head to the Boarean Tundra. After that we need to cross the Scorched Lands and head into The Echo, then we will go to TI and then we will take the boats to the Breach. Im open to any other ways you guys see on the map.

"nope that looks like our best shot" said lightning

"yeah, especially since we will completely buypass the wastelanders" said fire force

"that is... if the wastelanders are our only problem" said lightning (bit of a downer)

 

"alright well let's gather those supplies!" said lightning.

"This'll be one hell of an adventure for us" Fire Force said, "Wastelanders won't be our only problem either, there's gonna be a lot of dangerous animals and monsters in our way, I was travelling to some of those cities before I met you guys" he knew that it wouldn't be such an 'easy' travel. But it's nothing the brave ponies can't handle.

As the group sets off to find buck, lightning looks back to the survivors and friends that weren't coming. She was sad to leave so many behind but she knew that it would all be better once they fix this mess.

 

"alright i'm ready diehard" said lightning

"me too" said fire force

 

They all knew what they were about to face in their journey was dangerous, someone might not make it back, but they all knew that they would die for a cause if that were to happen. The gloom was getting greater and greater... but once this sheet of darkness is lifted from the earth they knew it would solve everything.

 

"Alright, let's do this" lightning said.

As the day went on they had made it to Dream Vally with no problems. We will set up camp here for now. Dizzy me and you will keep watch. And if we get lucky the train to Dead Appleloosa might come by.

"I'll go find some sticks to start a fire for the night" said Fire Force, they really needed the warmth as the weather was dramatically dropping. He flew away from the group to try and find easy flammable materials as they started a small tent to sleep for the night.

Lightning rummaged through her packs looking for their supplies to get camp set up. She found the burlap for their tents and went on her way gathering the supplies in the center of their camp.

As she set down the tent equipment she saw Fire force returning with the firewood.

"Just what i wanted to see" lightning said with a smirk "let's get this fire started, my hooves are freezing!"

Diehard pulls out a flare so they can start the fire and have some light. Nothing normally roams around this area. So we should be safe for the night. Dizzy and Diehard sit around the fire with the others. Are you guys ready to see the world? With a sly look on his face.

As they all gather around the fire they exchange their thoughts on the journey at hand.

The fire crackled and brought a much welcomed warmth to the ponies.

Lightning's focus was lost in the writhing flames.

Her stomach growled, and she regained her wits and looked around the fire

Well what did you guys pack? I know i brought some of my special pills and made some new ones too. But im going to save these for latter. Well i packed up some jugs of water and some hay stocks. I found some blue flowers on the way down here. They dont taste half bad. Diehard thought about what Derpy just said. Blue flower???? No! Wait! Dont eat that! Knocking the flower out of her hoof and into the fire. Thats Poissonjoke! How much of this stuff did you get? The poissonjoke was laying on five of the hay stocks. Oh boy....Did anyone eat of these? The hay they were all eating had a tint of blue on it. Ahh buck.
