"Uh, not really sure. I hope soon though. Hey, uh, we didn't really do any formal introduction. Unless you all already know each other. Before the storm, I had spent most of my time in White Tail Woods, so I don't really know anyone. I'm Misty Leaves, if you hadn't heard me before." Misty wan't one to get shy or embarrassed, but the fact that she'd been around plants more than ponies was a little sad. She just hoped these three would understand.

Hank nods "i hope soon. well make yourself at home just be careful about the glass dome on the table i wouldnt know what i would do if i lost my chip that was in it." he smiles at the chip in the glass dome. He looks at Misty Leaf "well thats ok im Hank im not really from here i got here a couple months ago and i got a house before winter happened." he smiles

"I'm Lightning Flicker! One of the fastest fliers I know! And according to other people, one of the best fighters ever. Most people just call me Lightning. They say it's because I'm as fast as lightning. But I've raced lightning before and lost."

Misty tried not to roll her eyes at Lightning's enthusiasm. For the most part, she succeeded. "Er, what do you mean by 'chip'? Like food?" she asked, raising a questioning eyebrow. She trotted over to the glass dome and stared at it, trying to understand why it meant so much to Hank. She looked back at Lightning, thinking this was the best time, if any, to ask an important question. "Hey, Lightning, what exactly happened to your wings?"

Hank smiles "i bet im a better fighter than you" he grins "that chip there helps me becomes one of the best fighters" he looks at his chip "if that chip gets taken away from me i dont know what will happen. Ponies say that if that gets sold who ever sells it will be rich" the chip has a white handle so it blends with his cloak and it is chrome with 8 dots on the chip. each one is different colors. The colors are Blue, white, red, green, light blue, gold, yellow.

hank looks at lightning "i think she lost it in a fight and she had to get metal ones and thats why she became good at fighting"

Bumble followed behind the other two ponies, carrying her mattress behind her. She set it down in a seemingly empty spot before going over to where the other ponies stood. "Why did you try racing lightning," she asked Lightning Flicker.

[Lightning Flicker 101]

Lightning Flicker winced visibly at the question. "Well............ Long story short, I got attacked by some animal and they couldn't fix my real wings. It happened when I was a kid. Some scientist offered to test these mechanical wings he'd been designing on me if it was alright with my parents. Any time something goes wrong with them, I'm supposed to let him know so he can try and work out all the bugs for them. They jam up every once in a while, but other than that they're usually pretty good." Lightning Flicker perked up again at Bumble Berry's question. "Well, all my friends always said I was fast as lightning. I wanted to know for sure so I tried it. I lost."

"That's pretty interesting. So you went up into a storm and raced lightning?" Misty asked, wondering what Lightning meant. She looked around, getting a feel for Hank's house. She didn't know how long she'd be here, so getting used to it would be a good idea. Since Misty didn't own much stuff, she could get what little she had later. For now, it would be best for her to settle in.

"Yep!" Lightning Flicker seemed to be over the first question now, almost as if she hadn't been asked about it at all. It was a bit strange how quickly she'd forgotten about the pain that the memory must bring.

Hank made sure the door was closed "so everyone make yourself at home there is just one rule. Dont touch that chip in the glass dome our you are out of this house." he walks up to the chip as on it said 'proof hank can be a hero'. "so let me give you the tour of the house" he gave a smile as he points out where everything is at. "well does everyone want to warm up ill set up the fire?"

Applejack wasn't doing so well due to the storm. She could not do any of her Apple Bucking, or do any kind of work on the farm without freezing. I don't believe this... how can this storm just suddenly come out of nowhere? I hope this clears up soon. My apples ain't doin' so hot right now. Maybe I should see if I can help anypony else... I'll try Pinkie Pie first. Off to Sugarcube corner!

 

On the way, she could barley see in front of her due to the storm. This is ridiculous! Never has there been a sotrm this bad in Ponyvile! Wait... is that someone in front of me? She walked towards the pony, but bumped into her. Ow! Oh, mighty sorry, who are-- wait... Is that you Twilight? What are you doin out here? It's kinda dangerous.

"Yes please!" Lightning Flicker grinned. Maybe the fire would help thaw out her wings. Of course, she couldn't sit too close, but she'd it as close as she could in hopes of being able to fly once again.

Hank gave a nod as he starts the fire "do you all know what a hologram is?" he makes sure the fire isnt to large "ok everyone the fire is set so come and get close. Does anyone want something to drink?"

Lightning Flicker came as close to the fire as she dared. "I'd like something to drink! And what's a hologram?" She gave him a funny look, but smiled at him. She was glad for the warmth of the fire and she thought she felt her mechanical wings thawing.

Hank smiles "a hologram is a visual of something that really isnt there. For an example, it can be like me but when i try to pick things up or touch things it will go through me." he got up "so what do you want to drink?"

"Is that some sort of magic thing? 'sides, you ain't a unicorn, so how do you do it?" Misty said darting to the fire. She quickly discarded the stupid green scarf from around her neck. She lay down a few feet away from the blaze. The feeling was unbelievable after months of "winter coolness". She'd been preparing all that time for Winter Wrap Up, and was still a bit miffed at the sorry state they were all in.

Lightning Flicker smiled. "Oh, I think I've heard of those before. And I'll just take some water." She had heard of them before. The earth pony scientist who had created her wings had talked about them to her before.

Hank smiles "ok well i will get everyone water" he walks to the kitchen and poured everyone a glass of water "here you go" he set the glasses next to them "i bet you all are wondering why that chip is so special to me."

"Yeah, yeah I am." Lightning Flicker picked up the glass with her mouth and drank a good deal of the water. It felt good to be drinking water instead of trying to warm up snow enough to melt it and drink it.

Misty took a sip from the glass. "Yeah, sure, why is that chip so special to you? And how do you keep your water from freezing in the pipes?" Something seemed off about this pony, but Misty didn't really care. So long as she didn't freeze her wings off, Hank could be a hydra for all she cared.

Hank gave a smile as he took the chip and sets it on the floor "ok so this chip is pretty much another me and that other me stays hole as it is split into fragments. It has all my emotions and memories i have. It also powers some abilities in my cloak but i have no use for them" he smiles "do yo want to see one of the fragments of me?" He looks at misty "oh i got the water from the emergency barrel of water i keep stored"

"Yeah I want to see that!" Lightning Flicker's wings did a small flap. She was glad to have them thawed. She was excited to see what this chip could do as well. She had always been a curious pony. Which had gotten her and her brother into trouble before.

Hank gave a smile "ok well epsilon you can come out" soon enough a light blue pony gets projected.

Epsilon looks at the other ponies "hello i am epsilon i hold memories. So what are your names?" He gave a small bow.

"COOL! I'm Lightning Flicker. Most ponies just call me Lightning though. Nice to meet you." Her wings fluttered slightly. Lightning Flicker smiled. "This is so awesome! I mean, like, really awesome! So awesome!"

Epsilon smiles "about meeting me, or hank, or getting your wings thawed?" He looks at the other two ponies waiting for their names
