Embers fell face forward onto the ground "whaaaatttttttt? whos? whats? Oh....hi all" Embers gets up and lookes around "can i have some food?" he walked over and got a drink of water, he then sat down.

Morning star got done sleeping and went to get some food. he was waiting in line for the food he was really hungry and sleepy both at the same time but he hoped to talk to Octavinyl before the day was done.

Octavinyl saw Morning Star and went over to him to give him the rest of her meal. "There you go, enjoy." She said to Morning Star as she stretched out and waited for everypony to finish their supper. "So what are we gonna be doing?"

Finishing his plate, he stood up, wanting to put away the dishes so they could be cleaned later. Turning back to the group he asked:

 

"So, did everypony like the food?" he asked. "Because you're gonna have to eat more of this for the rest of the camp." he added jokingly.

Embers looked at his paper "Uhhhh, i think that we have some archery first" He looked at white lightning "its okay" He picked up some of his bags and started walking "see all you soon, later!" He started walking

Morning star waited for Octavinyl to get done with her duty so that he and her could talk about stuff that interested them , they already had one thing in common they both liked peace and quite every now and then.

Octavinyl walked over to Morning Star, "Hey let's go doing some archery and stuff." she said to him as she grabbed him by the hoof and started going to where the event was being taken place. "So where is everything?"

"Well, anyhoof, I'm off for a walk. If anypony wants to join, I'll be in the field nearby." he said, before walking off in the direction of the beautiful field he saw earlier.

 

 

Heh, that went better then expected. This camp isn't that bad after all....

Blaze got a few carrots and sat near the others. "The carrots are pretty good" Blaze commented as he began munching on them bite for bite.He noticed them leaving now to go practice archery. "Yeah you guys go do that ill catch up with you guys later" Blaze said hoping they heard him.

 

"Hmm maybe this would be a good chance to challenge White Lightning to a race." Blaze thought he gobbled the rest of his carrots then started speeding towards White Lightning, "Hey wait up Lightning!!!!"

Bumble had never shot an arrow before, but she as eager to learn. She had many other ponies shooting at round targets, and it looked really fun. Guessing that Embers knew the location of the archery field, she started following behind him. But just to make sure that she as following the right pony, she asked, "Are you going to the shooting area, or somewhere else first?"

Embers looked over his sholder "What? oh yeah, im going to go shooten some bows and arrows! I love doing that, im not that bad..." Embers smiled "So your comeing to? thanks for keeping me cumpany, i hate doing stuff by me self"

"Hey don't forget us!" Octavinyl yelled as she dragged Morning Star with her and followed right behind Embers and Bumble Berry. "Archery sounds like a lot of fun!" She yelled in excitement as she headed towards the archery field.

"Same here, I just hate being alone. I always feel so...vulnerable." She sped up to keep pace with Embers. "How long have you been practicing archery," Bumble asked. "I've never actually done it before, so it wouldn't be too bad to learn from somepony else." She looked back to Octavinyl, who was quite literally dragging Morning Star behind her. "Is anypony else coming, or is it just us four?"

Walking on, he arrived at the field he was looking for. It was beautiful indeed, with rolling hills and a few trees scattered about, the grass filled with flowers.

 

"Well, nopony wants to join then? Well, don't mind more alone time...*sigh*" he said to himself, both relieved and disappointed that nopony joined him.

 

And with that, he started to fly slowly above the grass, breathing in the fresh air.

 

Well, I guess it's just me...again. he thought, a hint of sadness appearing on his face.

"Thanks, that would be great. Though, I thought more ponies were going to participate in the events. I suppose I was wrong, then."

 

The field was a wide space, covered in lush, green grass. Sun low in the air, nearing sundown, the shadows of the trees around covered a great deal of the field. 5 targets, all of them standard colors, stood near the side of the field, leaving space for the arrow to fly if you missed. The targets almost looked radiant, the bright sun shining it's brilliance upon them. On the ground lay brilliant green bows with a touch of yellow here and there, clearly designed by a master. As the four ponies neared the field, she spotted 10 quivers, all hung up on the side of the targets, one for each pony. Bumble was still awed by the bow. As they finally emerged onto the wide area, she picked up the bow and examined it. It looked like re-curve bow, quite dangerous if you had no hoof protection. Luckily the protection lay on the ground next to the bow. It's green color seemed to glow with perfection as she held it higher, to the sun. She silently awed the bow, releasing a small 'wow' as she stared at the brilliant thing. She'd never seen anything like it, and she was eager to learn how to use it.

 

((OOC: I know I exaggerated on many points, for example the expertise shown on the bow, but I felt like I should start making longer, better posts, and I felt that a small bit of exaggeration was required.))

[Lightning Flicker 101]

Lightning Flicker flew into her tent. She'd brought her own bow. She flew after Embers and the others headed to archery. "Wait for me you guys! She landed next to Bumble Berry. "Anybody else shoot before or am I the only experienced archer here?"

Morning star wasn't to good at archery but he would give it a shot. He picked up a bow and arrow then waited for his turn to shot at the targets. "So Octavinyl have you ever done archery before"? Morning star felt stupid of course she hasn't she mite be trying it out.

Embers kept walking "what?iv shot befor, for about 1-2 years, so ill be with you" Embers smiled, he kept walking untill he got to the range, he picked up a bow, and shot "Ha, i forgot how fun this was!" His arrow hit a bulls eye "Haza!" (no godmodding in the arrow hits every time, you have to remembers that there wind and stuff)

"No haven't shot an arrow before." She replied as she looked at the sharp arrows. "Maybe I can do this another, those arrows look very dangerous." She whimpered as she went as far away from the arrows as she could.

Lightning Flicker pulled out her bow. It was a dark blue, almost matching her coat with gold symbols. She shot about five times, hitting pretty close to the center each time. The margin of error wasn't very big, but she didn't seem satisfied with her accuracy. "Stupid wind....." She was used to indoor shooting.

Bumble felt clumsy as she lowered her arrow onto the bow, still radiating brilliantly in the sunlight. She made sure the protection was on properly, pulled back the bowstring, and shot. In her eyes, she couldn't have been any worse. Her arrow curved way to far to the left as it flew high and far to the other side of the field. The picked up another arrow, this time taking her time, aiming the arrow carefully with one eye as she aligned it slightly over the bulls eye and a bit to the left. She released the string, the arrow this time heading in the direction she wanted to. As it thudded halfway between the bulls eye and the bottom, she couldn't help but shout out a hearty celebration. Only her second shot, well, ever, and she had hit the target!

Morning star gave it a try but what they didn't know is he enchanted each arrow to get it to the center. He did a test run on his enchanted arrow. he aimed at a far away tree and fired hoping his enchantment would work..

Lightning Flicker smiled at Bumble Berry. "Nice job! Have you ever done this before?" If this was her first time, she was pretty good for a beginner. Lightning Flicker had been shooting since before she even had her cutie mark so she was disappointed as her next shot hit the edge of the target.
