Yeah, everytime I see a RD parents topic, I post this picture. I love the concept, they look so cool and her mommy is so beautiful... I want to see those two as her parents. Queen Faust should see this.

Seriously, even if they don't refer to her by name, Fire Fly being Rainbow Dash's mother would be a sweet callback to the roots of the show and what Rainbow was originally going to look like.

 

(Also, Rainbow's dad is supposed to be a genderswapped version of G3 Rainbow Dash, which I guess could work if they had similar fashionista personalities and accents.)

^ I like your thinking! I would love to see old both old Rainbow dash's in season three. I always saw Rainbow's mother as Fire fly cause Twilight's mom is g1 twilight and Rarity's mom kind of looks like g3 Rarity.

Wow, that picture is actually awesome. It seems to describe the looks and the personality that would create a product that is Rainbow Dash.

I see them as very caring parents who wanted to keep her sheltered (creating Rainbow's urge to be so wild and outgoing and rebellious), but they would still be supportive of her throughout. I'm not sure about looks, but that picture seems pretty dead on.

 

Also, somewhat related, I thought of this when I saw the mom's cutie mark:

I guess because of the layered circle and sunset colors.
