Misty charged forward, aiming for their heads. Lapis Lazuli took up a defensive stance, hoping that none of the mutants got near Octavinyl. Protecting her was the main objective in his mind. She made such a great leader. The fight between the grey mare and the undead horrors was short lived. They hadn't expect Misty's style of fighting. The zombies fell once more to the swift hooves of Misty Leaves. Her cuts were dripping again, but she didn't care. The thrill of battle felt so good, it should have been a crime. "So, you ponies want to hurry this up?" she demanded, hoping to get a move on it.

"Hmm....how to open a window that is waaay up high........Chair?..No....Aha! I'm a unicorn, magic!"

Emerald looked up at the window, reeling slightly from his revelation.

'Eh, If those beasts have gotten clever enough to look like a normal pony, even scared of the beasts, I think they deserve to win.'He concentrated on the window, trying to force it open with pure magical might...

The pony on the other side motioned to a latch on the inside of the window,

"Oh...."

He said, feeling quite foolish. Emerald quickly opened the window and motioned to the pegasus to come in...

Air Opal bared his ugly teeth at the pony charging at him. But after he was hurt by her, he knew it was smart to retreat. Summoning a blast of wind with his horn, he retreated as the pony was blown back to the other ponies, where he recognized his brother, Earth Opal. Even though his brother may not like it, Air Opal would do anything to bring Earth Opal to the evil side, though he knew that would be nearly impossible.

"Yeah I agree!" Octavinyl said as she charged at the electronics store which wasn't too far now. She stopped right in front of the shop and checked the door if it was open, but of course it was locked. There was only one way to get in and it was to smash through the thick glass. In her current condition it seemed that she would'nt be able to break the glass by flying herself straight at it. She kept searching the ground for something to break the glass but an idea went through her mind, "I guess I can just throw that bag." she said to herself as she threw the bag at the glass window. She immediately hit the floor when she tossed the bag to avoid getting cut by the incoming shards of glass that dropped to the floor. She quickly got back up on her hooves and checked the shop to see if it was safe for entry, "It's clear! Come on let's go get anything we need!"

"Hey, get back here you punk! I'm not done with you yet!" Right as she was about to go after the zombie, Lapis put a hoof on Misty's shoulder. "It's not worth you time." he said, but Misty shrugged him off. "Yeah, whatever Blue. Now can we get a move on it? I want to get this done so I can take a nap. Zombie bashing is hard work you know." Lapis shook his head and continued walking forward. Misty sped past him, not the least phased by the fact that she had gotten knock on her rear by a zombie. They arrived at the store front with Octavinyl already having taken care of the way in.

Octavinyl quickly started to stuff the bag full of walkie talkies, batteries, and some binoculars. "Take only things that you need and are necessary!" She said to them as she zipped up her full bag and started looking out for any incoming zombies. "Hurry up guys! The longer you take, the more dangerous it'll get!" Octavinyl yelled as she turned back to Lapis and Misty.

Lapis emptied out some of the food and replaced it with batteries and radios. He realized somepony wasn't helping and looked over at Misty. "What? I didn't bring a bag or anything. I just came along to bash skulls. Stop looking at me like that." she said digging through the electronics for a MP3 player. Lapis kept working, hoping to get the stuff in the bag quickly. His hackles were raised again. He felt like there might be more zombies coming.

Some more figures began to close in from the distance, it was terrifying for Octavinyl but she had to pull herself together in order to lead these ponies safely to survival. "Alright just zip up your bag and get moving! We're out of time, but I think we have what we need." Octavinyl said as she tried to go back through the broken window, but there were too many zombies coming to try to slip through. She turned around and saw a back door, "Hurry! Let's get out through there!" she said as she made gestures for them to follow.

Lapis quickly zipped up his bag and slung it over his shoulder. Misty tried to fight them before they got close to the others, but there were too many for her to even make a difference. She drew back to the others before she could be overrun. "Uh, yeah, I guess fleeing couldn't hurt." she said, pride damaged. Lapis and Misty hurried after Octavinyl, just as the zombie began to enter the store.

Octavinyl stood for a moment to make sure that they got out of the store safely. The back door had lead through an alleyway that lead directly to the street. Octavinyl flew up to see any obstacles in the way, there were a few monsters lurking around the street, but it seemed easy enough to slip past them. "There are some zombies in the wide open, but I think we can get past them with ease. Just stay calm and stick togther in a protective formation." She said to them as she went ahead first.

Lapis followed, but Misty zipped ahead, not listening to Octavinyl. Her head strong attitude was going to get them all killed. Lapis began to run, trying to not let Misty cause their deaths. It was ironic how he was only making it worse. Octavinyl's suggestion pretty much forgotten, Lapis continued to run after the grey mare in hopes of stopping her. He wasn't as smart as he claimed to be. But, maybe it was simply Misty's fault? The way she had no regard for the safety of others got under his skin. Realizing his mistake, he stopped to see how much of a problem he had just caused.

While the ponies left the building. Starbolt held back the infected with her magic.She had froze, burned, shocked, burried and zapped them. She stepped out of the door and set a small rune that meant, 'Paralyze'. She turned to see Octavinyl. She ran next to her.

 

(OOC School, brb in about 5 hours. Octavinyl you have control of Starbolt and Fae.)

Splinter is in some tough luck. Trapped in a horde with nothing but a knife. He has to do something he hope he would never have to do.

''Time to act like a 5 year old..'' Splinter said. His eyes crossed and he began swinging his knife everywhere. Slicing Waves and waves of Zombies. 2 hours later.. ''Okay.. I'm done. Now where did that bastard go?'' Splinter said while frowning.

Earth Opal stood still as he watched his brother retreat away from them. He was relieved yet scared at the same time. To see his brother a zombie was quite a site for him, and he wasn't taking it very well. He shivered at the thought of that happening to him.

"Hey guys stop! Don't go that way!" Octavinyl yelled as she kept flying to them. More zombies started to follow the sound of the commotion caused by them. She turned around and saw the zombies closing in. Octavinyl started to breathe heavily as she turned back to Lapis and Misty, "Guys we have to get out of here now!"

Flame walked back to his room just down the hall and got back into his bed he lay down and took a small nap.

 

A couple hours later.

 

Flame awoke from a pain in his arm and looked at the I.V. Im sick of this thing. He thought pulling it out as he slowly sat up.

He looked around the room for some crutches or a wheel chair, but the only thing there was a small cane next to the door. That will have to do. He thought standing up grabbing the cane and looking at the scratches running from his leg up to just below his shoulder blade, It may have healed but it still hurts to walk.

Flame limped out into the hall way and wondered along until he found somepony.

Earth Opal snapped back to attention, realizing the danger Misty and Lapis were putting themselves in. Reacting as quick as he could, he placed a barrier between the zombies and them, as well as using some of the ground to construct a shield to protect the two ponies. He then reinforced the barrier with tree bark, to make it harder. This used a great deal of his magic, but he knew how to use less power with a conservative spell casting technique, so he was able to manage.

"Misty you're gonna get us all killed! Get back over her-" She was cut off when a zombie grabbed onto her. This time she put a hoof to his neck, trying to keep him from biting her. She struggled to push him off, she was still recovering from her last injuries which were covered in bandages. "H-Help!!! Get him off of me!!!!" She scream as the monsters came closer to biting her in each second.

 

((OOC: I think everypony made it to the hospital and Octavinyl got in charge temporarily. Her, Misty, and Lapis went on a scavenging mission and this happens.))

A strong wind began to course around Earth, and without looking behind him, he knew his brother was there. He was using a simple wind smell to prevent Earth Opal to escape. Earth Opal turned around and gritted his teeth, looking into the eyes of Air Opal, now a evil creature. "What happened to you," he shouted at his brother, not sure if he could understand. Air Opal simply growled in return. Then it began. The wind grew stronger and stronger, now circling Earth Opal and raging speeds. One step in any direction would be the end for Earth Opal. But he stood his ground, not moving an inch. The ground between the two split as Earth used his magic to make a hole between them. Then the ground rose from beneath him, raising him higher above the ground, but the winds were high and they still surrounded him. Air Opal's eyes flashed and he started floating, the wind growing ever stronger. But Earth knew it wasn't over. From the now towering ground, Earth Opal's eyes began to glow as well, as roots shot from the giant feature of rock and soil, slowly beginning to surround his brother. But there was more to the glowing eyes as they thought. The surrounding area began to grow brighter, radiating to every corner of Ponyville, unseen by no pony. It enveloped them both as they flew higher from the ground, now nothing supporting them. The spells began to unwind by themselves until there was no giant ground or blowing winds, other than the blinding light. Then it faded, though something had changed. Air Opal was no longer a zombie, and he was lying on the ground near Earth Opal, lying tiredly. They both slowly stood up, the earth seeming to stand still just then. Air Opal asked calmly, though with a touch of wonder and curiosity, "What happened?" Earth Opal smiled as he realized his real brother was back. "I'll tell you later, for now, we have to get to the hospital."

Lapis quickly twisted around. He saw that Octavinyl was in danger. It was his fault! He just had to chase after Misty. The foolish mare could have gotten them kill. He ran as fast as he could, trying to get to the zombies before they could kill Octavinyl. "Get off of her!" he shouted, slamming into the one closest to her. Misty turn back to watch what was going on. The zombie got back up and knocked Lapis to the ground. With them momentarily distracted, Octavinyl could flee. But, for Lapis, there'd be no hope. He had lost his hoofing, and collided with the ground. The mutants closed in on him. They obstructed the view, so nopony could see what was happening. His last thoughts were, "Run, Octavinyl, just run...." A strangled scream escaped from him before the zombies overtook him completely. Misty watched in horror. She didn't think Lapis Lazuli, a selfish scholar, would give up his life for somepony. Especially somepony like Octavinyl. Not wasting any time, she flew over to Octavinyl and lifted her up. "Don't think I actually care about your life, but I'd hate for his sacrifice to be meaningless. Waste of a good man, ya know? We need all the ponies we can get to fight these things." she said with the coldest and most heartless of tones. She only saved Octavinyl because she needed ponies to help fight the zombies. She was only one mare after all.

Hello ? Can anypony hear me ? Flame called down, the dimly lit hallway.

When he reached the end he saw a sign pointing towards the food court. Maybe there will be something to eat at the food court. He thought following the sign.

"LAPIS!!!!! NO!!!!" Octavinyl screamed as she started crying and resisted against Misty's grip so she may attempt to save him. "Let me go!! He's still alive! We have to help him!" She kept yelling as she kept trying to break off of Misty's hold and run to him, but she wasn't as strong as the mare. "LAPIS!!!!!!!!!!!!" Octavinyl screamed again as she felt a trail of tears behind.

A flare gun fires from the roof of the hospital. As the flare explodes, a pony with a rifle is silhouetted against it, and then he is gone, moving to the roof access and walking in.

"I doubt you can do anything about him now. Didn't you hear him scream?" Misty said, tightening her grip. "Quit struggling. I might have a use for you. And you dying would mean I'd have less resources to work with." She felt no pity for Lapis Lazuli. He had foolishly gone back for someone. In these crazy times, survival was key. He deserved his death. Now no one would try to stop her from taking charge. She grinned wickedly at the thought of it. Of course, the current 'leader' was right between her hooves. She could just drop her and be done with it. But, keeping her alive could be more fun.

Starbolt saw Lapis get swarmed by infected and Misty carry Octavinyl away. Starbolt ran towards Lapis' location and started rapidly casting magic at the infected attacking him. "Lapis!" She shouted as she continued her barrage of magical attacks. The infected were assaulted by different spells. Starbolt knew she couldn't handle them all but she had to get Lapis out of there.
