Watched an old favorite show this morning

I got this show on DVD from the library: Early Edition.

It's basically about a guy who gets tomorrow's newspaper a day in advance and so he goes about helping people and stopping the headlines from coming true. And it's not like he believes himself to be some kind of hero either, he's actually more on the shy side. He's one of those "Mysterious Good Samaritan" types really. Some of the stories are pretty powerful.

When he changes something, the headline changes. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, and he does everything in his power to stop whatever it is from happening. Not that he has a whole lot of power since he just owns a restaurant that happened to fall in his lap at the beginning of Season 2.

It's a really good show that I've loved since I was like 13.

There was a pony comic i saw on EQD about Twilight getting an early edition of a newspaper and reading that AppleJack has an accident repairing a barn roof.

I was wondering what that was a crossover with, thanks!

Did you ever think I get lonely?

Did you ever think that I needed love?

Did you ever think, stop thinking

You're the only one that I'm thinking of?

The show sounds intresting, do you think it's something a family could enjoy together? My parents like to hold a movie for everyone to watch on Saturdays and Sundays, and due to lack of choice, they sometimes choose very strange movies. I'd like to change that.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a show a family can watch. It's got a very good vibe to it at all times, even if some of the problems can be a little brutal at times but in the end things tend to feel like something good actually happened most of the time.

I never watched Early Edition when it was new, but I might track it down now. Have you ever seen a short lived science fiction show called "Seven Days"? I really liked that one! using equipment from a crashed UFO, scientsts built a time machine that had a range of only seven days. The main character would go back in time, and have one week to avert that week's disaster. There is one episode that sticks in my mind. A plague was decimating the world. The main character (forgot his name) went back to try and stop it. He managed to get there in time to stop the guy who released it, but was infected himself. He went way out in the middle of nowhere and climbed ontop of a haystack. In order to save the world, he POURED GASOLINE all over himself! Right when he was about to light a fire, a helicopter flew towards him, announcing over a loudspeaker that they had an antidote for him. It was very chilling! Can you imagine being willing to burn yourself alive, to sterilize the infection and save all of humanity?

Hot damn that sounds like an interesting show indeed.

I never was much of a TV watching person though for a few years I would watch all the big stuff all week like NCIS, Wipeout and America's Top Model and such.

Yes, it was a crossover of Early Edition.

I used to watch that show. It was pretty good, but I couldn't remember what it was called.

I vaguely remember watching it. There was a TV channel that showed episodes back in the days before analog got replaced by that digital junk but I can't remember it.

I miss imaginitive shows like this.

I actually only just remembered the name of it a few months ago, before that I remembered the show but the name just wouldn't come.

Finally remembered it though.
