Apparentely it was supposed to make Superman GOD of the DC multiverse. So youd be putting an Omnipotent against the Ponies? That doesnt seem very fair. That doesnt seem very fair. that is pretty much what i have been trying to get across when i did the stats for both of them and nerfed superman quite abit, it go's down to superman being around for 70 years and Celestia being around for 3, there have been so many versions of superman. so having a superman fanboy go for god Superman against a Alicorn is unbalanced and unfair if you don't try to balance the fight, (again pointing out how pointless this topic is starting to become and repetitive) Edited August 30, 2012 by PonyEcho 1 my DA http://heavyecho.deviantart.com/ check my stuff out the Anime Club http://mlpforums.com/topic/48196-the-anime-club/ plz join us
rainbow_hearts 148 August 30, 2012 Share August 30, 2012 Superman can not be around Krypton because it is like a magical substance. The power drains of it drains him. Also Celestia HAS magic so she could destroy him. She also has the elements witch she can use to send him TO THE MOON!!! Superman doesnt stand a chance. As for the better ruler/hero. I never liked Superman. I always saw him as an OP twit. He is like the reed richards of DC universe also his hair is stupid. Celestia is Kind, generous, funny, loyal, honest, and magic. Superman is a grown man wearing tights made out of a baby blanket. I have to say Celestia again. But Celestia is no longer connected to the Elements! So I'm guessing only the Mane six can send him and other ponies to the moon.

If he jsut used it then he would have it on its own doing its own thing and if would probably work just like the Elements of Harmony. When he didne absorb it that is. BUT i still say that, thats vague, and you cant go back to teh whole Omnipotent thing. Thats stupid Wow, i remember when i got my first 100 quotes... no wait i dont. PonyEcho 1,610 August 30, 2012 Share August 30, 2012 O_O Iv'e just realized something game changing, DC reset there continuity so everything that happened before doesn't count anymore because there starting everything a new. meaning if we were to actually do this properly it would have to be either New 52 Superman or Smallville. Superman would still win due to the speed advantage but now no one can go fan boy over it. my DA http://heavyecho.deviantart.com/ check my stuff out the Anime Club http://mlpforums.com/topic/48196-the-anime-club/ plz join us

Damn it DC why did you shoot you self in the foot by making it so Tim Drake (Red Robin) was never a Robin even tho we have had a flash back of him as Robin. my DA http://heavyecho.deviantart.com/ check my stuff out the Anime Club http://mlpforums.com/topic/48196-the-anime-club/ plz join us

Zygen 6,066 August 31, 2012 Share August 31, 2012 Well I'd have to say princess celestia simply because she has magic and who knows what she could do with that. I'd assume alot of people would say the same considering this is an MLP forum. Supermans pretty cool and all but I like Princess Celestia better personally Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Zygen 6,066 August 31, 2012 Share August 31, 2012 Defintley agree on the Magic thing. But we dont really know much about Celestia to really say so. She doesnt have an All Star Superman i mean. True we don't really know what she is capable of. Only that shes able to raise the sun and the fact that she did reverse whatever spell twlight put on her doll or whatever in I think it was lesson zero wasn't it?And then the finale where she had a short fight with the changling queen. She lost but who knows how strong the changling queen was at that point. I really hope we get to see a episode that lets us learn more about celestia(And luna to, i love Luna ) Sometime in S3. but we can only hope I guess. So i guesss without knowing a whole lot about celestia's capablitys we can't truly judge this. Its gonna take some impressive Magic to take down Superman, but i think Hypothetically she could pull it off. Just depends on the Superman we're using. Very true, it would also depend I guess on what you could really do with magic. Like if she could conjour up kryptonite or something then obviously she wouldn't have to much trouble.Again I guess its really hard to know expecially with so little that we know about celestia. Whos craftier pretty much yeah if we use the action comic superman being the most recent and less op (after reading the annual issue)and we use a Celestia that can at least throw down rather then get hit once and lose and if we were to just warp them both into a arena and nether of them knowing the others weakness.... Superman would win because he could analyse the situation fast and even if Celestia can Teleport like Twilight can superman would still catch up to her and one hit would be all it takes (unless Celestia has some kind of uber buff spell) my DA http://heavyecho.deviantart.com/ check my stuff out the Anime Club http://mlpforums.com/topic/48196-the-anime-club/ plz join us

Koori 156 August 31, 2012 Share August 31, 2012 (edited) Hmmm... A ) That's actually a tough one. Celestia can control the sun and has powerful magic, but I don't think she's fast. Doing magic requires preparation time... normally. Superman on the other hand is BOTH fast and powerful and doesn't require any real preparation time. ... In that light, I say Superman wins in straight fight, because all it takes is one good and fast punch to knockout Celestia before she can cast any magic. B ) I don't know Sword of Superman properties so I cannot debate on this. C ) Also a tough one. Both want peace and no war, but will fight to keep the peace although Superman is the one who fights way more than Celestia. Where Celestia keeps the peace by ruling a kingdom and seldom fighting unless it's absolutely necessary and unavoidable, Superman fights almost daily to keep the peace mostly in Metropolis but also in the entire Earth (and nearby space). Even though Princess Celestia rules peace in mind, we have seen how much trouble Equestria actually has (Everfree Forest anypony?), but she doesn't really directly handle them. Instead she let's her faithful student deal with the problem. Although... Celestia is more diplomatic than Superman. We have seen Superman destroy environment when trying to stop a villain. Celestia, however, tries to talk things through... especially if it can stop a war or fighting. As a ruler of Equestria, her duty is also to protect her subjects so she will also fight as I mentioned whenever necessary, but knows her boundaries and doesn't do any harmful magic that could harm even one of her subjects. In the end, they're equally good, both with good intentions and their own way of keeping peace. However, keeping peace without the need to fight is always a win IMO so Princess Celestia wins this one Since I can't judge B, things end up in a draw overall. We do have to be honest here Superman does have a lot more to deal with in terms of real world scenarios. He has to fight people who find murder and dealing pain as a fun actvity, there are a lot of villians in the DC world that you cant talk down to and are just in it for the fun death. Especially characters like Mongul and Darkseid who are just straight up murderers and conquerers of worlds. There comes a time where words fail and knocking a guy out has to be done. At least he doesnt kill . Still i really like Celestia as character more, but Superman is still a great one as well.
