Could Princess Celestia Defeat Superman? Could Other Alicorns/Unicorns?

The Sword of Superman is an old Silver Age weapon that was used to make the wearer one with the Presence. It basically was formed from Primal Matter from the beginning of teh universe and it completely indestructible. On its own it can defeat major cosmic beings. It pretty damned powerful

Yeah i checked out Superman Annual 10. I dont know the Sword seems kind vague to i looked it up some more. Apparentely it was supposed to make Superman GOD of the DC multiverse. that is pretty much what i have been trying to get across when i did the stats for both of them and nerfed superman quite abit, it go's down to superman being around for 70 years and Celestia being around for 3, there have been so many versions of superman.

 

so having a superman fanboy go for god Superman against a Alicorn is unbalanced and unfair if you don't try to balance the fight, (again pointing out how pointless this topic is starting to become and repetitive)

Superman can not be around Krypton because it is like a magical substance. The power drains of it drains him. Also Celestia HAS magic so she could destroy him. She also has the elements witch she can use to send him TO THE MOON!!!

Superman doesnt stand a chance.

 

As for the better ruler/hero. I never liked Superman. I always saw him as an OP twit. He is like the reed richards of DC universe also his hair is stupid. Celestia is Kind, generous, funny, loyal, honest, and magic. Superman is a grown man wearing tights made out of a baby blanket. I have to say Celestia again.

 

 

But Celestia is no longer connected to the Elements! So I'm guessing only the Mane six can send him and other ponies to the moon.

Well... fair enough. King Kosmos was doing some similar things to Discord (plus implied power) and the Sword was undoing it, then ill give it a okay. BUT i still say that, thats vague, and you cant go back to teh whole Omnipotent thing. Thats stupid

O_O Iv'e just realized something game changing, DC reset there continuity so everything that happened before doesn't count anymore because there starting everything a new. meaning if we were to actually do this properly it would have to be either New 52 Superman or Smallville.

 

Superman would still win due to the speed advantage but now no one can go fan boy over it.

yeah... i really hate the reboot. It removed most of the Batman stories i loved out of continuity. Though Grant Morrisons run on Action Comics was good, then again i dont think he can do any wrong with them.

yeah the reboot has pissed me off as well but Aquaman is still good so i'll live, also with batman it kinda work because that can redo the old stories if they want and can introduce new characters like Harper Rope into the continuity but the end of the court of owls story left me empty with that twist, now i should stop before we go completely off topic.

Damn it DC why did you shoot you self in the foot by making it so Tim Drake (Red Robin) was never a Robin even tho we have had a flash back of him as Robin.

Really... well ill give some credit to the Batman stories they are definitely good. Dont know about the Action Comics one by Morrison (BTW ive read All-Star Superman its pretty damn good) did they get better because i heard they had a rocky start.

If we're using the new version of Superman i doubt he can take down Celestia seeing how hes had a hard time managing with a lot of the heroes and vilians. Pre-Flashpoint Supes would be closer i think

C ) Also a tough one. Both want peace and no war, but will fight to keep the peace although Superman is the one who fights way more than Celestia. Where Celestia keeps the peace by ruling a kingdom and seldom fighting unless it's absolutely necessary and unavoidable, Superman fights almost daily to keep the peace mostly in Metropolis but also in the entire Earth (and nearby space).

 

Even though Princess Celestia rules peace in mind, we have seen how much trouble Equestria actually has (Everfree Forest anypony?), but she doesn't really directly handle them. Instead she let's her faithful student deal with the problem. Although... Celestia is more diplomatic than Superman. We have seen Superman destroy environment when trying to stop a villain. Celestia, however, tries to talk things through... especially if it can stop a war or fighting. As a ruler of Equestria, her duty is also to protect her subjects so she will also fight as I mentioned whenever necessary, but knows her boundaries and doesn't do any harmful magic that could harm even one of her subjects.

 

In the end, they're equally good, both with good intentions and their own way of keeping peace. However, keeping peace without the need to fight is always a win IMO so Princess Celestia wins this one

 

Since I can't judge B, things end up in a draw overall.

While i can agree with you 100% on B. We do have to be honest here

 

Superman does have a lot more to deal with in terms of real world scenarios. He has to fight people who find murder and dealing pain as a fun actvity, there are a lot of villians in the DC world that you cant talk down to and are just in it for the fun death. Especially characters like Mongul and Darkseid who are just straight up murderers and conquerers of worlds. There comes a time where words fail and knocking a guy out has to be done. At least he doesnt kill . Still i really like Celestia as character more, but Superman is still a great one as well.

What? Just because i dont think Superman is unbeatable doesnt mean i dont love the character. heck All Star Supermans like my favorite Comic ever. I just like teh character of Celestia because Superman can be a little to stereotypical at times.
