Well sweetie belle seems to not have done any magic with her horn scootaloo is rumored to not to be able to fly and appleblooms talent doesnt seem to have to do with apples or her even being at all good at apple accept the sister hooves episode but sweetie belle and rarity could do those things to. She also doesnt seem to connected to the ground other than her family work ...

Interesting theory... It does seem though that Sweetiebelle is the only one that has a bit of explanation. She's still young, and as we saw with Twilight, she probably isn't able to preform magic yet.

Indeed, twilight poured all of her effort into learning magic... Sweetie Belle doesn't appear to have bothered at all.

True through pumpkin cake was able do do magic early ive always thought the ones that have the most magic like twilight take longer but the ones that will have cuite marks that dont involve magic learn instanly. Edited September 6, 2012 by pinkieshyrose

. The cake twins were only 'advantaged' to make the episode more interesting. Maybe their busy focusing on crusading. Not eveything in the show has to be taken literally remember whom the target audience is?

That really is odd. They don't seem to match the kind of things that you would expect their type to be. Also them bickering amongst each other was the trigger for discord. Who knows, maybe there is something larger going on? They certainly seem to me to be special in some way beyond the fact that they were targetted as semi-main characters. Would be interesting if they had a shared talent that only worked for the three of them together. Something at the alicorn level.

I thought about this today. Maybe Sweetie Belles magic well have something to do with singing. Don't know how, it's just an idea. Scootaloo I am fine with her not being able to fly, it makes her look a little bit more interesting. Sweetie Belle's magic will probably come with her Cutie Mark. I think that's how it works for most unicorn except for Twilight since she's special.

I thought that this was explained in that episode. Didn't Twilight say that unicorn foals can exhibit bursts of magic at that age?
