What is wrong with Luna's eyes?

Now I noticed this while watching the first episode, but never really thought to ask about it till now.

 

Take a closer look at her eyes. Do you see that? What's up with it? I mean, is it just me, or does it look like she's wearing make-up? What do you guys think?

She had to make sure she looked her best upon returning from exile. It is SO unladylike to attempt a coup if you look like you just got out of bed, dontcha know?

It's probably like that for every pony, maybe part of her pony design. Rarity I think wears makeup however and so does her cat, which is odd.

Your forgot to mention her instant shoes and crown (the chest piece was hardly visible, but it's there), and let's not forget about her perfect hair-do

It's just part of her characters design... So therefore there really isn't anything wrong with her eyes. I do see where your coming from though...

That's one messed up design. Even if it's intended to look like a part of her eyes, when you watch the episode itself and look at it...well, it just seems so... out of place.

Eh I don't see to much wrong with it? Its makeup like yes, but she is a lady returning from evil and exile she has to look good to make a good impression no?
