Best way to make a presentation about bronies

Theres too much good music too fit! remember, this is a presentation, cant be long. max length that i can plan on is half an hour. I could talk about it for hours, showing different songs, but I need to somehow choose only some. Bronies, why are we so amazing?!

 

Well, one thing I will be able to say at the end of the presentation, is that I enjoyed every second making the presentation.

 

 

 

Sadly, the school requires us to wear uniforms. so no pony shirts. and I sure hope that I will be able to show people how awesome bronies are. But I dont like the "convert" term. It isnt like turning someone into an undead minion. He's realizing something worth realizing. I think enlightening is a better term, wont you agree?

 

I think you could use the pony music as a bg music for your presentation, turn down the volume and all the songs you choose will play at the background, however, electronic music wouldn't fit, because your classmates may be distracted by it, I could be wrong as well, but there are so many ambience brony musics out there, however I can't even save my life if I have to pick songs, I don't know any!!

Thanks for the support, Its a really busy time over here, have like 8 exams + 2 projects to do, and I opted to do a brony presentation. It's not easy, but hopefully it will work out. And yeah, I can see why you would want to use this topic to make a presentation, so many great ideas for it, you guys actually were able to make it so I cant decide what to do lol. Guess im taking a short break before I continue to work on it.

 

 

 

As far as music goes, I'd suggest you show them a bit of everything to show how diverse we are.

Show them some Tombstone (I'd say "September" or "Octavia's overture". Maybe even "dubstep dishwasher")

Mandopony ("Loyalty", "Rainbow Dash's Theme" and "A long way from Equestria" are my favorites)

WoodenToaster ("Beyond her garden" and "Love me Cherilee")

SimGretina ("At the gala 20% cooler remix)

Omnipony ("Time is running out" and "Clouds")

Forest Rain ("Trixie", "Memory Lane", "Join the Herd")

MicTheMicrophone ("Nightmare Night", "Beyond her tomb", "Sonic rhyme-boom")

 

There are many more but these were the ones that came to mind. Basically you want as much variety as you can fit in.

 

As for PMVs and other videos, I can't really remember any specific ones but TheMovieBrony (http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0) has a bunch of videos containing the top 10 pony videos of each month. I'm sure you can find something there.

 

 

 

I see you know a lot of songs, well, I also knew them, but still, If you are able to find any pony art or something like that I would appreciate it, trying to find as many drawings as i can, to show them our artistic side.

Btw, I'd recommend getting a snack like popcorn or something. It's about an hour and four minutes long. However, the guy brings up many excellent points and made an excellent video overall. I would honestly rate this a full 5 stars out of 5. I saw. Nothing incorrect, altered, questionable, or confusing in his entire presentation. I hope this helps.

Heh, you have under-estimated me. have watched ballad of the brony many times, and this is what solidified me into a brony. yes, I will take point out of it, though I cant really make an in depth comparison to it since I will be short on time. Saberspark sure did his research.

I don't remember which sections, but what I would do is talk about how it is widely enjoyed, show some of the things brought about by the fanbase (music, art, etc.) and make a point that you rarely see this kind of fan-made stuff with other fanbases, and talk about some of the misconceptions that are formed by people who have never seen the show (how it has references to things that kids don't understand {spiked punch, bars [ when spike asks for another doughnut, it's as if he's asking for another beer ] } ), and other stuff that I can't think of at the moment but might be real useful.

We have a smart, talented, and colorful community, and we also have the makers of the show who support us.

The Makers also are known for things. You know, Tara voiced a LOT of things like Ben 10 and Timmy Turner.

Faust also made well known shows as well.

 

You can even go into the negative side of it, to be honest. You can mention cloppers and grimdarks-- if you told me that such an innocent show had people maturbating to ponies and stories of ponies shredding ponies into rainbows, I would have laughed at that. It probally will surprise them, especially if they haven't encountered the internet.

 

Also, show that this show is unique. Unlike a lot of shows, it has characters with actual legitimate personalities, and has no Mary Sue's. Also, show them the adorable pictures of Luna, Fluttershy, and Sweetie Belle.

Actually, that's what I meant to include when I meant to say that. Yeah, only if they are interested and liking it, and ignore it if they seem only "okay" or hating on it.

And Try not to drop it on them too hard if they really like it.

YOU ARE THERE TO INFORM, not to be some holy brony preacher. That is the most common mistake with brony presentations is that they feel they have to make people like the show. This results in choosing the best parts of the show and giving a really unrealistic level of expectation for it.

 

2. Rule of three. The mane 6 are 6 ponies but guess what? People get bored when they listen to a subject that goes over 3 items. When doing a presentation. Keep it snappy and concise. Can't talk about each pony? talk about them as a whole.

 

3. research. You are a brony, but you are not omniscient of the subject. Look into the subject properly. Looking into the socio-political system we follow. Bronies have loads of cliques with constant attrition from each other and is actually interesting to be informed of (but it all depends on what subject your presentation is). Perhaps even question how equestria function as a government.

The presentation isnt going to be about the show (sadly) its about the community. it will be about bronies. and all the stuff related to that. therefore, its impossible to be too "kind" to the show or something.

 

Okay so I think I have it all done. I will upload it soon, though warning, its over 2GB in size, yes I have too many videos and songs in there. but best way to show us is using videos/songs. and about recording, in 2 days i am going to ask him, didnt have a class with him yet. Let us all pray for success.

I just did my presentation today, (well, half of it, ran out of time, but the teacher was awesome enough to let me finish it in 3 days.

 

Reactions: all positive. I. AM. SHOCKED.

 

No one was hating on it, everyone were more silent than if I killed them all (which is impossible with that class), no one was on a phone or talked, they asked questions, and overall I feel they may be interested in the show. If I am able to show them bronidom and have them see it in a good light, then my work here is done, and I may publish the full presentation after I translate it to english. So far, it seems that the way I did it makes them connect to it better, and be actually involved in it. The only spot where they were kinda 'meh' about it, was when I showed them a part of 'music is magic' and in it the part where silvahound talked. They were all like: "No. this cant be true! Come on!". But overall, 100% positive. and I still didnt finish it. Expecting about 10 more bronies at least.

 

Oh, and also someone liked one of my 'likes' on my little brony. who knows...

You know my friend from my 1st year boces class did a presentation on the show, he is actually the one who got me to start watching it, he did a really cool flash website presentation which had a biography for each of the mane 6 and other characters ,I believe we also watched a clip of winter wrap up It really reconfirmed my starting interests for the show at that time(i started watching it about a week or two earlier after i first heard him mention it).

Now seriously, the teacher had no idea what im going to show him and the class, and still let me do it. After watching it, he said that even if its not 100% connected to the classes subject (well, it kinda a tiny bit wasnt at times) he is still very glad that we got the chance to see the presentation, since A, B, C and D. And the class was clapping (never ever have a typo there, good tip I learned from experience) for so long that a) I couldnt sit down since they didnt stop teacher had to stop them c) I actually started shaking from being nervous XD. Well, overall it seems that everything went so smooth, it was even suspicious.

This might not be any help but what the heck I'll go with it. For one of my presintations a while back I started out with a video I made on iMovie, in your case I would star out with a funny clip or some awesome fan stuff. Then you will probably want to go into depth about the subjuct and explain to the class what they just watched. thats all I got hope it helped
