Seafoam had been laying awake this entire time. She couldn't sleep with what was going on. She thought about her sister and parents and everyone close to her... just gone. Everything had been taken so quickly. As Seafoam lay there she begins to cry to herself. Whywhywhywhywhywhy must this happen...

seeing the crying mare made him want to shed tears of his own

As Pinkie spoke, Fluttershy began to feel her insecurities begin to melt away, 'Surly Pinkie's been through just as much as I have, if not more... Yet she can still keep her cheerful demeanor through it all?' Pinkie, in Fluttershys' eyes, had become a pillar of strength and confedience, something Fluttershy couldn't help but to admire. Inspired by Pinkie Pie, she began to try and stand again. Though she wobbled on her way up, she finally managed to stand.

 

Though now she faced a new problem, her shy nature was getting the best of her, there were so many new ponies, ponies that she would be traveling with, that she would have to learn the names of, she only kind of knew Shade... Because Pinkie threw a big party for her when she first moved into Ponyville.

She looked towards her Pink, curly-maned friend, and whispered, "Thank you... Pinkie..." she then ran up and hugged her very tightly, "Thank you... For still being you."

She then noticed Shade, and her outstretched hoof, she let go of Pinkie and trotted up to her, carfully so as not to fall from her woozy state.

"Heh- hello...." Fluttershy looked down for a moment, then looked back at Shade, she had to be strong, she needed to be better acquainted with all of these ponies if they were going to be traveling together. Pinkie inspired Fluttershy to try harder in the face of adversity, so she started again.

"Hello again... Shade. I'm... I'm glad to see that you.. And the others... That your all... Wh-what I mean is..." although she was trying her best, her nerves were getting the better of her. She began to blush and become embarrassed, so she tried to hid her face behind her mane. "Ohhhhhh..."

 

Shade: I know how you feal flutershy... Your shy to take up new things... I was once... Kind of still am... Don't wory... You weren't that much trouble I only got this scratch.... And il be gentle while cairing you!

 

Twilight... Thinking: she is so... Cairful and nice... But she dosnt seem like that all the time.. Hm...

Seafoam wipes off her tears but they still shed lightly. T-Thank you Parso... Ya I'll pack my stuff up.... She gets up and re enters the group. She is glad to see Fluttershy is fine. Hello Fluttershy. Good to see you. She then walks over ans sits, waiting for shade's next plan.

Shade: ok everypony!!! Time to head on out! Our next destination is a small military bace. If we have no destractions... We should be there in 9 hrs... Let's Move!!!

 

Shade exits Zecoras hut with twilight at her side...

 

Continuing going through the evergreen forest...

"Oh-... Okay..." mumbled Fluttershy to Shade, trying her best to maintain eye contact. Then Seafoam trotted past Fluttershy, pointing out she was glad that Fluttershy was doing alright. "Hello... And thank you..." Fluttershy managed to squeak out, though that wasn't doing much for her self-esteem either, having to squeak in order to talk. She looks away and sees Applejack, then the memory of back at her cottage hit her, Applebloom was gone...

 

"App...Apple..." Fluttershy began to start, moving towards AJ, wobbling and near-face planting a few times, which only added to her upset mood. "Applejack..." she finally got her and hugged her tightly. "Applejack... It was awful..." she didn't hold back her years or sobs this time, she had for so long already.

After the group decided to head out, Fluttershy accepted Shades' generous offer to help carry her, she felt as though she was just being a burden, but she just couldn't walk for too long without tripping or flopping over. She looked down as they set off for the everfree forest.

Walking in the Evergreen Forest, with what seems to be miles of foilage in all directions, Shade looked a little tired from carrying Fluttershy such a great distance, and all was silent...

 

AJ's stomach rumbled and she almost forgot about the sack of apples she found back in ponyville.

 

Hold on a minute everypony, I think its about lunch time. AJ paused and pulled out the applesack (lol), where she proceeded to distribute the fruit evenly until everypony had one and there were three left over...

Seafoam shook her head. No thank you... Seeing those... things destroyed any appetite I had left. Have your apples back but thank you anyway. Seafoam continues on and her stomach rumbles but she ignores it. She didn't want to eat. She just wanted to move and get out of here but her stomach rumbled again and more violently. No... I need to move... no time for food.

Pinkie had been trotting for two whole hours and due to that, her legs got really tired. Parso picked her up on his back again, he seemed to be doing that a lot recently

"shade, you have the map, how much further?"

Then into the shack... She had to kill 3 zomponies...

Once she got in she got 3 ALICE backpacks... She got 2 binoculars... And the best part... 3 AK-47's but only 2 MAG's for each one...

 

Shade: looks like I got everything... Time to head back to camp...

 

It was almost dawn... She Sneeked around androse get back to camp... She bumped into a zomponey

Shade started running... About 17 zomponies were chancing her... She didn't want to use the AK's so she continued tuning back to camp... The 3 backpacks full of food, bandages, and much more supplies were slowing her down... Zomponies started hitting her... She gave up on running and pulled out her crowbar... Il take ALL of you on!!!

 

Shade fought off all zomponies that chased her... Beeing hit after every kill... As soon all of them were dead... Shade was worn out... She patched herself... After loosing lots of blood... She was weak... Crawling cairing 3 backpacks full of stuff... She FINALY saw camp in sight... But it was already around 9:00 am...

Parso awoke, it was far too quiet and shade was not in sight. he sprung up, grabbed his pole and left the camp to look for her.

he found her at the bottom of the hill with three bags and was battered pretty bad. he scooped her onto his back and rushed up the hill

"shade's been hit, she looks weak, anypony help me!"

parso was really determined to help shade out as much as he could

AJ looks through Shade's new found loot, What the hay! Shade! I though you said we weren't doin' no infiltratin' 'till mornin'!!!

 

If we are to survive this we're gonna hafta work together...

 

*sigh* Here, AJ feeds Shade an apple to keep her blood sugar in check so she doesn't pass out...

(guys I am so sorry about the lack of posts, I had something I had to take care of that took longer then expected, I'll try and do what I can now, promise)

 

Fluttershy rode along on Shades' back, not saying a word to anypony, not even to her old friends. She didn't want to squeak or say something out of place, she wanted to calm down a bit before she tried to strike up conversation again, emphasis on "try".

 

'Are you okay Fluttershy? You seem to be getting heavier.' Shade said to Fluttershy. "I... I'm sorry..." Fluttershy managed to whisper, she never felt so useless before, she had known helplessness, it basically made up her life, but useless... This new feeling had Fluttershy pretty down, add that onto what was happening around her, all the loss. It was so much....

 

'I'd send a letter... But...*tear slides down Twilight's cheek* I don't think he made it' Fluttershy overheard Twilight, it wasn't something she wanted to hear... "Nu- No..." her eyes were so puffy, she wanted to cry, but her body simply wouldn't allow it. 'Spiky's gone too..?' said a completely distraught Pinkie Pie, lost in a torrent of tears, AJ simply lowered her head, her hat hiding her face, Rarity was taking it hard as well.

 

As Fluttershy was lowered on to the grass, she was already asleep again, she was physically and emotionally exhausted, everything was coming down around them, and not even Twilight had an answer... That night she had a dream, she was alone in the center of Ponyville, the only thing around to keep her company in this strange Ponyville, we're the graves of all her friends, her animals, and everypony else. She was alone.... The feeling was terrible, she wanted to wail and cry, but she couldn't make a sound. "You..." suddenly a voice broke the silence of her dream, "Your to blame..." accused the disembodied voice.

 

"M-m-me...?" Fluttershy found her voice, but wasn't sure of what to make of the situation.

 

"Were it not for you.... Your ignorance.... Your stupidity.... Your.... Weakness, they wouldn't have had to keep... "Saving" you..." the voice mocked. "because of your uselessness.... You have lost all those closest to YOU!!!"

 

"NO!" shouted Fluttershy, her tears not hindered in her dream, she let them flow freely. "It can't be! I wouldn't want this! I wouldn't want somepony else to sacrifice themselves to save me!"

 

"Aww... But look at the bright side" chimed in the voice, "At least your... Still alive... Your the last pony standing... Congratulations, seems strength, integratiy, and common sense are not needed to survive an apocolypse... It just takes a steady stream of friends, willing to sacrifice themselves to Taratarus itself... Just to keep your sorry flank from burning..."

 

"NO!" Fluttershy awoke with a start. She soon found that she was the last one asleep, everypony else was checking something else out. It was Shade, she was badly hurt and exhausted from a raid on she preformed by herself last night, Parso was first on the scene. Fluttershy knew what she had to do.

 

"Stand back and give her some air Everypony!" she quickly barked, not wanting to waste any time. "Twilight I need your help, please come and assist." Fluttershy never knew this kind of confedience before.... It was... Exciting.

"when I call you for something be sure to get it for me okay? Now before I begin, do we have any sort of antiseptic? Fluttershy took care of critters all the time, she knew the procedure for multiple impacts and fractures, but this was different, this was somepony's life, she had to be careful.

Father: I never wanted this for you shade... You are part alicorn... Prinses of thunder... However, when you were stolen from me... I guess they broke your horn clean off... I don't know how all of this happened but... You still have magic instde you... You can overpower the zomponies... You just need to see it inside of you...

 

Shade shocked and in tears...

Twilight: I don't think that was the right spell for healing... Let me try again...

A beem of magic from twilight witch hits shade...

 

Shade wakes up... But is so weak...

 

Twilight: shade are you ok??

 

Shade dosnt speak... Her eyes were glowing and in tears... All the cuts magically disappear and shade falls uncontious...

 

Twilight: did I do that?
