Prince Atmosphere is an alicorn that I just spontaneously created. I mean if he was Luna then they wouldn't be going anywhere because Luna doesn't have her own kingdom. So its like Celestia>Sun Luna>Moon Atmosphere>Stars.

 

Ah, I see. Well, that could certainly work. If you could work out where the plot can go from there, I am sure we can get this thing going.

So out genderbent counterparts go off to some other place and have adventures there? It should work, assuming nopony wants to play the fillies and colts, anypony could feasibly be brought along. The general idea of the RP lends itself more to a slice-of-life exploration of how switching genders changes things around from canon FIM anyways.

 

Alright well feel free to give me some ideas >.< Like after they leave pony ville where should they go? Who should they meet/help? Should a villain be created and introduced etc.

I like the idea of a villain. And the "Kingdom of Stars" could be a different place from Equestria. And certainly, whatever the problem is, it should be something that could branch off and create more problems, forcing the mane six to stay there for a while.

Also I was thinking of possible problems/villains and this is what I came up with.

- A dragon king

- Atmosphere is turns out to be jealous of Solaris and only wanted him to come so he could steal ideas from him. He ends up trying to turn the mane 6 (and their companions) on Solaris.

- Atmosphere is not evil but he is really impressed with Twilight and offers her a position as his adviser but without her friends and dragon.

- They meet Zecora's (Zicoro is the gender bent name I think) evil twin brother/sister who switches their bodies. (Like Twilight is switched with Pinkie, Rarity is switched with Rainbow Dash)

Well, those all sound like very good ideas, and it's too bad they can't work together. But maybe the body switching thing and another idea could work. But I really wish some of the other player's would give their opinions.

Well I'm open to all ideas not just mine. The other players aren't saying anything but it seems like they want to start, so I don't know at this point.

Well I don't have any ideas. The best I have is the vague ideas I gave you. Truly, unless someone else has some input, what you have got so far might work.

Male Gilda? Male Trixie? Male Chrysalis? Female Discord? Even if we go to a new place for the purpose of allowing side characters a chance to tag along, the set up doesn't have to deviate too badly from episode format. So we could start with that, and pitch ideas as we go along.

I like the idea of making up a new plot. Makes things more interesting. Allows players to be more creative, really. But it's not up to me, it's up to what the majority wants.

Well I like both ideas But I wish I could make a poll, so it would be easier to decide. :< Sigh...I pmed the other so hopefully they'll give their input and we can start role playing soon.

I'd go for 'use the episodes as a very loose structure' and make up whatever we want from there. Like, Nightmare Moon. We start there and see what we come up with.

i think that since the show only focuses on big events and adventures maybe we could contrast that by just having them go about day to day lives and leading into adventures

We could start with the show's beginning, but instead of going by script make our decisions within reason and character and see where it takes us. We're going to need reliable and fair way to decide if certain actions succeed or fail though.

I assume Bleed will moderate and keep things in check since they started the RP. I still don't know how "skill checks" are going to work though.

Maybe one of the ponies gets captured by a new villain and then the other ponies go looking for him? But they have no idea where he might be, so they go on a big adventure to try and rescue their friend. But then what would the one other pony do? Well i thought about it for a second, what about Barbara getting captured instead? Anyone think this is a good plot?

Scoots Rule 63 name still starts with "Scoota" I believe, but I don't remember when it is. I know it's from a tumblr, and their called the "Cutie Mark Cavilers" as colts too.
