So when he'd finished speakin', he turned back towards the window,
Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.

" he thought a bit shocked he started to trot out of the room and exits the castle for a breath of fresh air and to have a few minutes to himself he was by himself after all " Hmm a big adventure to save the ponies in trouble probably see new places i just saw new faces " he said remembering then seeing that not many acknowledged him besides Bumble Berry but then she left in mid word he sighs " Better enjoy the scenery while i still can. " he said and started to look around and hum a latin song then looks up seeing Draco fly by and started to gallop following his trail " Where are you taking us? " he asked to himself

Iron listened to all the ponys with there discussion and thought that this was no need for something like that. The quest was clear, all they had to do was to pack a few things and go on the rescue. Iron blushed the moment Draco called her pretty. But because no pony had ever talked to her like that, she thought of it as a joke or a friendly praise, not as a flirt. Then he wanted to meet everypony at the graveyard. It was not an usual meeting point for a quest, but there could be worse. She nodded and left the palace, gathering a few things for the rescue. She trotted to the graveyard and saw Bumble Berry standing at the entrance. Her armor was even thicker than the ones of the palace guard and too heavy for most pegasi to fly with it. But Iron Wing had trained to lift great weights with her wings. Determined as always she arrived at the graveyard sitting down and looking towards Bumble Berry. She noticed that the pony did not feel good beeing near the graveyard.

 

"Fear not Miss Bumble Berry..." she started with a calm and warm voice. "... as long as i can stand, i will protect every member of this group..." She looked down on herself knocked on her armor with her hoove. Of course no armor in the world was indestructible, but her little 2 spells would help to increase every defense she could offer. On top of that, she was nearly unable to lie. She spoke always directly from the heart. She observed Bumble Berry to wait for her reaction. Iron was not a pony that could make easily friends, but she tried. Most ponys considered distance because of the armor...

When Draco saw Iron Wing with Bumble berry he lowered his wings to reviel the names of his parents,and his brother and sister on the graves that he hid with his wings."This is what I I am warning you of I am the last of my line see these graves these are my family they took their own life just to get away from their madness."Draco looked at Iron Wind with afew tears in his eyes. "Because of that very beast the sisters want to keep imprisoned I lost my only family"Draco stood up looking at the 5 infront of him."Because of their soft heartedness more inocents will suffer"

 

"Tell me fellows do those feelings matter to the dead"Draco yelled with anguise in his voice. After Draco's words were heard Rascal was left stunned he begun to understand that to Draco this assignment Princess Celestia has given to the 5 other ponies meant more to him then just some rescue mission he kept quiet as he asked his questions but any doubt he had of Draco in the first place were wiped clean from his mind

Iron did not know what to say. She was angry at draco, showing something demoralizing like that to the group. Wow, very well done. But at the same time, she felt sorry for the red stud. It was something very important to him indirectly telling the group that he doesn´t want to loose anypony. She nodded softly and looked at the grave.

 

"It´s tragic... but i am sure nothing like that will happen to us. We have to look forward and not staying in the past. Don´t ever forget them, but also do not let the past hinder to develope the future by yourself." Iron Wing said determined. "Also i personaly won´t let something like that happen..." she whispered more than telling.

 

She turned her back and made some steps away from the graves. "We should go. The longer we wait, the more the others will suffer. We should hurry to start our journey." the darkblue pegasus said while leaving the graveyard.

Red listened with extreme interest to Draco's song, he felt Draco's pain emminate from the lyrics. Red followed him to the graveyard. When Draco sat down and covered a few headstones, Red gave the stallion a gentle hug. "Was your family slaughtered by Discord as well?" Red asked, not a hint of aggression or sarcasm in his voice. He sincerely asked this question, feeling the pain of his childhood rising in his heart......

"Yeah"Draco said as he eyes Iron's flank as she left.When he felt red hug him he placed a gentle hoof onto the other stallion"I am a broken vessel of regret and sorry but i am free to choose. I choose to go on this mission to rescue those ladies, after all i might not find my special somepony but Ginger Snap has his and that will make me fight just to help them get bak together"draco's eyes held not hatred from afew moments ago but a determined fire was held in his eye. Bumble Berry stood at the edge of the graveyard still, and when the dark blue pegasus named Iron Wing came back out, she said, "Yes, we should go now. I don't know where, so I'll just follow you guys." She turned around and walked with them as Draco flew up in the air to scout, but she wasn't sure what he was scouting for. They were still in Canterlot, and she was sure that they were safe. She turned her head in Iron Wing's direction once more and asked, "What were on the gravestones Draco showed you?"

" Alright guys, follow me we are leaving Canterlot right at this instant on a heavy demand by Princess Celestia we need to reach a checkpoint camp by sunrise where there will be supplies and food. Draco we need you on the ground unless me or Spike tell you to go ahead, Iron take front with me and Spike, Bumble Berry you and Draco take left and Red and Rascal take right."

Draco repeated that he thought that Iron was beautiful. That came very sudden so that Iron herself did not know what to say about that. The red stalion went off scouting and she looked after him. Then Bumble Berry asked some infos about the gravestones. She turned around with a serious face. "He showed us the grave of his family. I don´t know why exactly he showed us, but he has his reasons i think."

 

She just finished her sentence as Ginger Snap had some orders. With that, Iron could work good. She took position in the front letting spike leading her to the right direction. She thought about the words of Draco while she was walking. She had a strange feeling about this stalion that she could not exact explain.

After hearing the orders given Rascal did not question them heck he didn't even say a word keeping to himself his first chance to open up to the team went terribly wrong. He just stared at Ginger Snap gave a nod and saluted he then turned away and takes his position

Draco sighed at Ginger Snap and hovered infront of him looking at him right in the eyes as he flew backwards"Your alittle naive aren't you" Draco asked."We aren't the royal gaurd if we get into formation like that than we are a big target and knowing Discord he would target us like he did the mane 6. They always formed a formation when in trouble. plus we aren't military ok one of us is a military and she is like the stars themselves beautifull yet dangerous. I mean look at us we are a comedian pony, a musican pony ,a high ranking military pony, a party pony, a pony who i think also loves to party, and me a courier pony we aren't a military platoon."Draco explained casually and parted part of his fur to reviel a large jagged scar across his chest"from a manticore that was going to attack a little filly orange one"Draco said and he covered up the scar"we aren't a threat atleast not yet if we make ourselves out to be one he'll target us for sure"Draco explained to Ginger Snap"I promise you we will save them but we need to go about it with care and plus i think i know where he is keeping rainbiow dash"

"Let me know if anypony wants to hear a song" Red suggested

 

"Alright Red, that is a good idea" Ginger Snap said as he dawned the ragged and musty cloak "Okay Draco you can deal with the guards if we need to but we must get to the checkpoint first. It is of the utmost importance that we arrive at the camp to get fresh supplies."

Draco nodded as he started to explain"alright people I do have a plan just in case the gaurds are Discord's spies. Alright Red when we are at the outpost you will pretend to be my brother, Berry you'll pretend to be my niece, Ginger my best friend, Rascal my cute little nephew, and Iron my wife, and we'll tell the gaurd we are going to las pegas for a vacation. which is my treat"Draco explained" Iron i know you were brought up to be honest but sometimes half truths are needed"

Rascal tilted his head looking at the cloaks then looks back at Red then at the cloaks again he gives a quick chuckle seeing that these cloaks were gave with his best intentions he placed his hoof on the cloak and begins to pull at it ripping a part of it off then laying it on the ground with his teeth he grabbed the end parts of the ripped cloth tying it together making a makeshift bandana he places it over his head and with his hooves and pushes it down to his neck and it rests there he suddenly smiles but still not speaking he turns to Draco nodding agreeing with the idea

"Thanks for the offer but i am not the sneaky kind of pony. If there is an enemy i prefer to battle him directly." Iron answered to the offer of Red. After she got her cutie mark in the past, she trained her entire life for defend and battle situations of all kinds. Even her heavy armor was like normal clothes to her. She felt strong, but was she? That question burned into her mind the last weeks and now the chance had come to proof it. She stretched her wings a bit. Then after she fold in her wings again, she turned to Red again.

 

"I wouldn´t mind if you could play march music or something like that. Or perhaps some heroic music for some group morale." Iron said. She was afraid that some of the ponys could get carried away with dark thoughts. She didn´t want to let something like that happen.

 

Then Draco explained a weird plan. Or perhaps it was just weird for Iron. "How do you wanna know that the guards are spies? A real spy would not let others know that he is a spy. And it would be unfair to think about every guard could be one." she answered. "And even if you find a spy under the guards, how do you explain that your -wife- wears an armor?" she smiled about the thought wifes wearing military clothings. "Na, i don´t think i can lie just like that..."

Ginger ran towards her without hesitation and then she kicked him in the jaw changing it's form back to a Changling, shortly after that all of the guards reveled their true form the 6 ponies got in a circle around each other and told Spike to hide (Epic Battle Scene Engage *Squee)

 

"come on and come and get me changling's"Draco's eyes held no love only cruelty"you want food huh come feed on my hatred"Draco flew into the air grabbing one of the changling"GOING UP"Draco yelled as he took the changling into the air then dropped it.Draco flew back to the ground quickly strafing through some of the changlings.

Ginger was surrounded by changelings and punched and jabbed them repeatedly taking them out one by one until one got the better of him and then hooked him in the gut at that moment he was getting beat on, but at that very moment a changeling dropped out of the sky and killed two of them. Ginger then looked up and saluted Draco He was surrounded by twenty changelings that all took his form and mocked him reciting his opening line for his comedy act in a sarcastic and horrid tone. Ginger then started to get confused as they all turned to members of the rescue team.

"BOMBS AWAY"Draco released large rocks onto the changlings as he flew around. Draco saw Iron in trouble and flew down with a cloud and kicked it sending lighting strikes onto 20 of them."I love being a pegasus"Draco laughed loudly"COME ON ARE YOU GUYS TRYING"Draco yelled trying to get all the changling's attention.

Rascal looks at the changelings and suddenly the smile he had grown to a grin with a game face on " All right game time! " he said and rushed towards the changelings tackling them sending a few towards the air as he waited there for those few to come back down as they did they came in contact with a powerful buck from Rascal's legs sending them a distance away him " I was about to say we weren't gonna have any fun! " Rascal said then stopped seeing they had reinforcements worse they looked like him and the team " Now that is just cheating! " he said growling
