There's an anime called SGT Frog/Keroro Gunsou that I highly recommend if you like Tom and Jerry slapstick like comedy and sometimes serious moments like in MLP.

 

It can be whacky and serious and stupid....

I've mostly read the Manga. It's pretty funny. Never really watched the Anime, but I think it's a little bit different from the Manga. Kululu is definitely my favorite character. I love how he's cynical and a genius.

I own volumes 1-3 7 and 20 of the manga but they're pretty hard to come by D8, I really should get more, and sadly because Tokyo Pop closed they aren't really distributing anymore >_<! Oh I just started watching that last Saturday. It's now my 3rd favorite anime ever. (2nd being Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and my very favorite being Gurren Lagann)

All the way up to episode 78 is dubbed in English, there are 358 episodes in total and five movies, it's quite the ride XD! Though at least it's not like One Piece (though yes I love that anime dearly as well) the characters are still easy to understand and whatnot... etc. They're easy to get to know etc. 8'D

Gosh, Sargent Frog is one of my favourite anime series. I only recently started watching it, but its really cool. I'm almost finished, too. ^^

I love, love, love this show! I’ve only seen it in English and my friend gives me a hard time about it because she says it is much better subbed than dubbed.

SGT Frog. Oh my sweet Luna in Canterlot that anime is amazing! I haven't watched it in a while, but I love how hilarious it is! (It also kind of reminds me of Invader Zim.)
