Sunshine Berry 90 March 5 Share March 5 (edited) This is one of my favourite episodes of all time! Pinkie Pie is my favourite pony, so it’s hard not to love it. From a construction standpoint, the jokes are funny, none of the story beats overstay their welcome, and the whole time I had a big grin on my face - especially at the end when Pinkie gets her poof back! Character wise, it’s great to get depth to Pinkie’s character where she’s more than just a hyperactive goofball; she also cares deeply about the approval and love of her friends, and without it, she goes off the rails. I relate as somebody who can get a little paranoid and jump to conclusions if I feel rejected by my loved ones. It’s a very human side to her! I also think it says a lot about her that she was able to forget her OWN birthday when she was more excited about the concept of throwing an after-party for Gummy and getting to spend more time with her friends.
