I mean, seriously, what is this movie even about? So much of it doesn't even have anything to do with what I believe could be the plot.

 

Now don't get me wrong, I love weird movies that don't make sense, but usually I'm able to at least gt an idea of what's going on and what the point of the movie is. But Eraserhead? Not even close.

 

 

In other movie news, I just watched The Prestige. Now that is an awesome movie. You should all watch it.

I watched it quite a while back and I have to agree with you on that, I have no idea what it's about. Another weird movie I watched a few days ago is A Clockwork Orange, I'm not sure what to think of it either.

Eraserhead isn't horror.

Clockwork Orange, I haven't seen, but I've been told it's really good. And it's Stanley Kubrick, so I'm inclined to believe it.

Just watched a trailer. I don't get it, what's it about?

Well... It's kinda about this guy who has strange dreams, and whose girlfriend gave birth to some weird, clearly not human thing. It's hard to explain because it doesn't really makes sense, and most of the movie doesn't even have much to do with what seems to be the plot.

 

I'll just give you a summary of the movie.

 

 

So this guy has this weird dream where there's a planet and this weird looking creature, a reptilian sort of head with a tentacle coming out where it's neck should be. It kinda hovers there, flailing about, then falls into a pool of liquid. There some more planet and stuff.

Later, this guy is walking home with some stuff he bought at a store. He goes to his apartment, and the women across the hall tells him a message from his girlfriend; he's invited to her parents house for dinner (this is where we find out his name is Henry). So he goes there.

His girlfriends dad is talking about these "man-made chickens" that are tiny. He bakes them like normal chickens, and serves them for dinner. As Henry goes to eat the small chicken, it starts gushing some sort of dark liquid, and it's legs start moving. Everybody just kinda looks at it, except the mother who starts wailing and walks out of the room. Henry's girlfriend follows her out. The father is just like "whatever" and eats his chicken, which is also moving.

The mother comes back after dinner and starts asking if "you and my daughter have had sexual intercourse". He starts stammering, trying to avoid the question, but the mother won't let it go, saying she's had a premature baby and it's in the hospital. At this point, the girlfriend says that the doctors aren't even sure if it is a baby. Then the mother tries to make out with Henry, but the girlfriend pulls her away.

 

Later, both Henry and his gf are in his apartment. The gf is feeding the "baby", but it's really this really weird creature. It has the same reptilian head as the creature in henry's dream, but everything except it's head and neck are wrapped in bandages. It's making this weird crying sound as the gf tries to feed it. It spits all the food out.

They go to sleep, but she can't fall asleep because the baby thing is crying too much. She leaves, telling Henry to take care of it for the next few days. he takes it's temperature, and then suddenly the baby has a ton of sores on it's face. He boils a kettle of water and puts it near the baby to keep it warm. The girl from across the hall knocks on his door. They talk, and then have sex. He goes to sleep, and has a weird dream.

There's a strange girl in his radiator (heater in his apartment). She has horrificly distended cheeks, but otherwise looks normal. She dances, and as she does, the tentacle creature from his first dream appears on the floor. The girl stomps on it a few times during her dance.

 

Next day, at some time, he's bored and knocks on the door of the girl across the hall. She isn't there, and he gets all depressed and the baby laughs at him. He has some weird visions/dreams again. The girl in the radiator is back, and sings this time. He finds himself on stage with her, and she hugs him. Then he sees the tentacle creature again, this time, it's head protruding from a business suit. It's head falls off, and a new one grows in. Then Henry's head falls off, and is laying in a pool of blood. Suddenly, it falls through the floor.

 

It lands in the city, and some kid picks it up. He takes it to a pencil factory, where they take a price of Henry's brain and test it by erasing stuff with it. They find it works as eraser material and buy the head from the kid.

 

What I thinks is later that day, but I'm not sure, he hears the door of the woman across the hall. He opens his door to say hi, but she's with another man. He shuts his door and the baby starts laughing at him again. He grabs a lair of scissors and starts cutting away the bandages. The baby starts crying.

 

He opens the bandages to find that the baby has no flesh, and the only thin under the bandages are it's organs. He's so horrified that he starts stabbing the organs, which start spurting white liquid, and then foam. The babies head pulls away, and now has a tentacle attached to it, much like the creature in his dream. It starts moving around, and the lights start flickering. As the flash on and off, a giant version of the babies head appears in different parts of the room. It gets closer to Henry until it's diff in front of him, and the screen goes white. He sees the radiator girl, and she hugs him again. Screen fades to complete white.

 

The end.

 

 

 

So yeah, I don't really know what's it's about :/

WHY IS THE CHICKEN BLEEDING-OH MY GOD I KNOW WHY IT'S BLEEDING OH YOU SICK WOMAN

 

 

I won't say what actually happened but it LOOKED like something related to women.
