I have just finished the first book to a 12 series book. The ending left me wondering what will happen next so i look when the next book come out and i found out that it is coming out in 3 MONTHS i wouldn't mind if i had to wait a month but three months i thought that he would have already made the next book by now. So my question is why does it take so long for the next book to come out?

I have an average wait of nearly a year before Salvatore comes out with new Drizzt novels. It's quite painful because every book ends on a cliffhanger. Not necessarily leaving you wondering how something will end, but how something is going to begin that he set up in the previous book.

All of his books are astounding and he's a very clever man. It takes time to create adventures and personalities of the magnitude that he does, and he works on other things too. Assuming the author of the series you mentioned writes with the same level of insight as Salvatore and has other projects he's working on, not to mention book signing tours, you have a very short wait ahead of you compared to most authors.

A brief search of the author on Wikipedia told me that this particular series is for a "teenage" audience. So I'm imagining it's in the same format I've seen of so many other books targeting that demographic: over-sized font with double-spaced lines and still spanning only 300 pages at most. If that's the way it is, it could also explain why you have such a short wait. Whatever the case, the point is that three months is not a very long time for an author to release the sequel to a book.
