Why does twilight teleport to applejack so much in that one scene?

Seriously I don't get it, twilight isn't lazy or anything. So why is she just randomly teleporting to applejack when its only 5 feet away? I could understand if applejack was running or something, but shes just slowly walking away! Seriously it would be easier for her to just walk then waste all her energy teleporting..

 

So yeah random question that came to mind I never understood... Why does she teleport around in that scene? it seems so random to me. Maybe someone else understands it, but I don't.

Silly Twilight. She misuses unicorn magic, just as a padawan might misuse the force. The force is a tool for survival and helping others, not petty tasks like teleporting when you could easily take two steps. I agree, a bad move, Twilight sparkle has made.

Who knows? I certainly don't. The only reason I can think of is that maybe Twilight thought the flashiness would help/make AJ focus on her more or something. That's really the only explanation I can come up with and it isn't even that plausible. You're guess is as good as mine.

Well its the only really plausible theory I've heard Or been able to come up with, so its certainly the best I've got. I suppose it makes sense. It just feels like she would've had enough out of just being in her face speaking to her. Like a normal pony?

I'm not quite sure honestly. Twilight rarely teleports even in situations where it would make quite a lot of sense for her to. One thing I have noticed is that rapid teleportation can be a way she shows mental distress, during Lesson Zero and It's About Time she teleports EVERYWHERE

Also when she walks in the running of the leaves she was not being lazy she was pacing. Thats how runners run long races like those. Sure she was pacing slower then a professional runner, but shes not a super athletic pony. Plus if she was lazy she wouldn't have time to be all organized and OCD about everything.

Well it could be possible, but I don't think she particularly seemed to be metally distressed. She just was telling AJ about how she needed help, it wasn't like she was panicking or anything.

Maybe the animators where just using the scene to play around with testing teleportation or something lol.

The teleporting does seem quite random looking back at the episode. In fact, Im going to look behind door number 3 and say that the reason that twilight teleports randomly is because she can. It might be for humerous effect, but I doubt it's because of laziness as she walks away on foot from the scene in the end.

Hmmm.... I think twilight is anything but LAZY. She's done way too many incredible things to be considered lazy. (She trys her best when help is needed, such as when she had to levitate an Ursa minor back to its cave, did you see how much work was put into that!?!) I agree, just to sort of make the scene more entertaining.

 

Exactly I don't see twilight as being a very lazy character in my eyes... none of the main 6 ever come across to me as lazy, even rarity who you'd think would be most likely to be lazy isn't lazy, She works really hard on making dresses and doing other generous things.

 

I still get slightly annoyed at that scene just because of I feel like twilight is doing so much unnecessary teleporting..

I suppose that might be it, but didn't twilight seem to have trouble being able to teleport in ticket master? The one time she teleported seemed to take quite a lot out of her, and now shes teleporting like 4 times in a row? Seems like it would make her very tired.

 

Also not that shes lazy, but I think she walked away from the scene, because one it would be weird to have her just teleport away. and because she might not be able to teleport that far anyways.

Well I don't know, honestly I'd find it would be more of a hastle to teleport then just the casually walk with or in front of AJ. Plus i'd think it wouldn't be so easy, it seems like magic tends to eventuelly come to wear out twilight. Like when she teleports during ticket master, and when she trying to give applebloom a cutie mark and after trying to give her like tons of different ones she looks exhausted.

Same thing with the Ursa, but atleast that one was quite a powerful spell, the others show examples of lower level spells being used.
