Looks better than my vector work so far. I need to go back and adjust the outline of mine, on the show the pony's outlines aren't black. Heh heh.

Yeah, her colors are a bit bright ^^" I even darkened them from her original draft I had and they're still super bright. If I go any darker she won't be white anymore >.< I had a lot of help with her Cutie Mark from Vex, he's awesome

I use Inkscape for all of my vectoring If you ever need any tips or anything, message me on Skype, I'm normally on most of the time I'm doing anything at the computer. Same name as here ^^

That's perfect. I use Inkscape too! If you look at the link in my sig to my OC Descant, you'll find the big version of my (only) vectoring work so far. I don't think it's too bad, but I traced the lines without considering I was going to have to change their color later, so I'll need to retrace his entire mane to recolor it to match the show's style.

 

I'll add you on Skype as soon as I make a new one. I don't want to use my personal one for on the forums. I'm sure you understand.

I love your vector work and I love inkscape to. I work with it a lot it one of my favorite programs I just wish it could do animation because svg can do that and I can't really use the vector controls in flash pulse can't afford it. Oh and one thing you could do is put your OC in front of a dark background when showing it to others.

Oh my Lord, that pony is amazing! I utterly agree it is show like! Other than it in its entirety, I also give you major props for not giving it one of the generic hairstyles. It's amazing how in the "world of ponies" how much one's hair majorly affects their appearance, and even perceived personality.

Yep, quite similar to Abobe Illustrator. It is an open source svg editor that is very powerful though it can be a bit clunky to use some times. I use it a lot to do the ink work for cleaning up my sketches I scan in. My avatar was made with it.

Yes as Lux Brush said, it's similar to illustrator. I actually think Incscape is better than illustrator when it comes to easy vectors such as ponies, because it is faster to work with.

Haha, the Generic hairstyle is the reason I wanted to vector her. I made her first draft in Zoi's pony generator and all I could keep thinking was "Gah I don't like any of these manes D:<" so I vectored her xD

Everyone that's answered you has been pretty much spot on ^^. The only thing it's used for is making vectoring in the .svg format.

Thanks ^^. He actually helped me make her Cutie Mark not look like a turnip xD. He also helped me out with some of the contours that I didn't notice were off and he did. Also, I like your gallery. Good attention to detail and everything . He also pointed out to me that I forgot her eyelashes, which the change isn't reflected in the OP >.<
