Did Anyone Else Just HATE Pinkie Pie In The Older Generation?

Even when I was young I would just be thinking: She has a pink body, her mane is pink, her name has pink in it...I mean...can you get any more girly of a pony? Like...thats the BEST they could come up with?

They WERE boring.

 

But in the older generation she had a light pink mane and a darker body. Now, its vice versa.

Its good they changed it though. I always thought it was weird

Oh, my God, you have no idea. I actually TRIED to watch the show. I couldn't even watch a full episode. It was unbearable, well at least for me. Pinkie Pie seems too narrow-minded with the pink stuff. After that episode, I never looked at Pinkie the same way again. Well, it made me appreciate the current Pinkie.

Yeah, that Pinkie Pie was rather shallow and girly compared to the awesome, hyper, crazy Pinkie Pie we all love in FiM nowadays. But G3.5 Scootaloo was even worse in my opinion...

Heheh, I watched G3 with Crazy Misty the other day to record our reactions, when Pinkie said something along those lines, my heart broke a little inside.

Her life seemed to revolve around it completly.

As if she had nothing else but...the color pink xD

it was neat to see the origins of her character, I thought she was fun, she even gets to sing in Twinkle Wish Adventure, which actually had a funny joke (which I wonder if they wrote or Tabitha St. Germain just came up with it)

Pinkie did have her moments of random, in the ferris wheel short and even the starting (which is an animation error but when we see Pinkie now...yeah I buy she had those powers)

So all in all I like Pinkie Pie, it still is strange to see her so level headed and a voice of reason though
