Rockshire was totally mesmerized by his work. He had done all that?

 

"Amazing... This kind of music is really amazing. How can you feel down about that?! This looks like something you have worked on for quite a while! And you have just started working on that?! This is... Wow..."

 

She looked down. "I could show you my work, if I had thought to bring some of it..."

Descant was completely taken aback by her reaction to his composition. He wasn't used to compliments like this, especially not from somepony he had just met. "Well... I just... I mean..." He didn't even know what to say! Blushing slightly, he composed himself, and said, "Actually, your carvings are amazing. Last time I was in Canterlot, I toured the art museum there. I even won one of your works at the auction!" He said, smiling.

Now it was her turn to be taken back by compliments. Rockshire had no idea that her carvings were in a auction. Nor that she had someone who admired her work.

 

She blushed hard at the statement. "Oh... I, uh, I had no idea I had a fan of my work... And when was my work on auction? And how much did it sell for?"

Descant goggled at her for a moment. "You didn't know the museum held an auction?" He pauses for a moment, and when no answer was forthcoming, he goes on, "Well, to be honest, I had the luck to arrive on one of their Spring Cleaning days, when they're making room for more exhibits, you know? They were auctioning off only one of yours that they had on display, and I couldn't resist. You have no idea how many other ponies there wanted it. And you don't even want to know how much I had to bid for it."

"I... I can't believe it! So many ponies just wanting that piece of work?!! I can't believe it!", Rockshire freaked, as she started getting really excited. Then she realized ponies were staring at her. She immediately sat down and blushed really hard.

 

"I'm sorry for that....", she said in a soft voice.

Sky entered the house and smiled back at Krystal. "Hey, It's been a while. How are you?" Sky asked Krystal as he looked around the room. "Wow this house is bigger than what I remember it to be." Sky thought to himself. Sky then levitated a glass of punch over and took a sip.

Descant grinned. "Don't worry about it," he told Rockshire. "You have every right to be excited. Ponies love your sculptures. And so do I." He blushed slightly. Casting around for something to keep the conversation flowing, Descant sees a unicorn drinking some punch. "Would you like a glass of punch?" He asked.

Sky entered the house and smiled back at Krystal. "Hey, It's been a while. How are you?" Sky asked Krystal as he looked around the room. "Wow this house is bigger than what I remember it to be." Sky thought to himself. Sky then levitated a glass of punch over and took a sip.

 

"I've been fine... just, you know, college life and stuff... I still haven't decided on a major yet..." they trotted into the house and she sat down on the couch, reaching over the the fountain and getting a cup of punch. She didn't drink any, just held it "So how've you been?"

Rockshire finally got her blushing under control, as she clamly looked back over at Descant, smiling a little.

 

"Sure, some punch would sound nice right about now.", she calmly spoke, getting back up to her hooves, and looking into Descant's eyes again, fixing her mane to where it doesn't get in her face.

"I've been doing well. Things have been looking up for me." Sky replied to Krystal as he took a sip of his punch and sat down next to Krystal. "So I guess Martin has been doing pretty well for himself. This house looks like it is worth quite a few bits." Sky said as he looked around the room.

She grabbed a cup of punch for herself from the fountain, she saw Krystal with Sky, and Descant with Rockshire, so she decided to go over to where Star Keeper was. "Hey there, how are you going? I wonder when more guests will come?" she said. This night might be heating up.

Well, It was good to know that everypony was having a good time. Problem was, Star Keeper was siting off to the side while everything happened around him. Sure he was used to sitting by himself, bu this was a party, he needed to be more outgoing. Star sat down, contempt with his own thoughts, and silently watched the party goers as they mingled. Good fun...

 

"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you." Star was amazed at the sudden interaction, but played along anyway.

"I've been doing well. Things have been looking up for me." Sky replied to Krystal as he took a sip of his punch and sat down next to Krystal. "So I guess Martin has been doing pretty well for himself. This house looks like it is worth quite a few bits." Sky said as he looked around the room.

 

"Yeah, he's been doing great. He just signed a big new contract with the Royal Canterlot Guard. He's working on it downstairs right now. But he doesn't want to be disturbed, so don't tell anypony." she whispered the last part. She sat there for a few moments with nothing to say. "So... umm..." she thoughtfully looked into her drink while stirring it.

Descant got up, and attempted to walk over to the punch fountain while keeping eye contact with Rockshire. She really had beautiful eyes. He could be lost in those forever...

 

Next thing Descant knew he was picking himself off the floor, having walked straight into somepony. "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," said Descant, blushing fiercely. Skirting around whoever it was, Descant continued over to the punch fountain and poured drinks for himself and Rockshire. On his way back over to where they had been sitting, Descant was much more careful to look where he was going.

Rockshire couldn't help but laugh at his folly. Most ponies who looked at her usually ended up on their flanks, usually running into something. She used her magic to levitate one of the drinks from Descant, still trying not to laugh.

 

"I'm sorry, but I had to laugh at that...", she said, taking a sip of her punch.

"Yeah, he's been doing great. He just signed a big new contract with the Royal Canterlot Guard. He's working on it downstairs right now. "S'okay really..." she looked at him, he was actually kinda cute... "So, what do you do in your spare time? What's your name anyways? Mine's String Strung, kinda ridiculous don't you think? Do you like the house here so far, It looks amazing!" she said all in one big sentence.

Whoa, I didn't know one pony could fit so many questions into one breath. Oh well, better get started before you look too gobsmacked.

 

"Okay... well then, my spare time is mainly occupied with my continuing studies on history and lore. My name is Star Keeper, formally of Canterlot. Your name isn't that ridiculous, and yes I really do enjoy the modern architectural." Star smiled back up. "Anymore questions or do I get a turn?"

Sky laughed as he imagined how annoyed Martin probably is, with all the noise upstairs. Then there was an awkward silence and Sky just sat there staring at Krystal. He felt like he needed to say something. "You uhh... Look extremely beautiful tonight." Sky said awkwardly.

 

Krystal blushed and laughed "Extremely eigh?" she laughed again and looked him up and down "Thanks... you're not so bad yourself" she conspicuously yet cutely scooted closer to him on the couch. Krystal looked at Sky's hoof that managed to curl it's way around her "Hehe. Well aren't you the smooth one tonight?" She said, turning to face his handsome smiling face. She stared into his eyes for a few seconds and broke the moment by lightly touching her hoof to his nose "Boop" she laughed at her randomness

 

Sky laughed at Krystal "booping" his nose. Sky then began to realized how they were acting was very "couple" like and Sky decided it would be a good idea to bring it up. "So...Krystal have you ever thought about... Me and you together? Like as in a couple." Sky said nervously.

El músico bowed his head and thanked the kind gentlecolt for his money. "Thank you very much, kind sir. I wish I could play more for you, but I must fly," he said with his thick accent, before turning with his guitarra over his shoulder. "Now, who is that pony I'm supposed to be visiting? Ah, yes, the splendid Krystal." He looked down the road to the house, which now seemed to burst with lights. "Oh no, seems like I'm late. I suppose I shall rush. He strolled to the house, simply wandering down, before stepping up onto the porch. Olé! I have arrived, Señorita Krystal!"
