The Ultimate Fate Of The CMC?

A breakoff from Arcanel's topic about the upcoming episode.

I brought this up:

Now that the trifecta is complete, do you guys think the writers will move the CMC forward? Sprocket from "Real Men Watch My Little Pony" on Facebook made an interesting theory, that in the end the CMC will get their cutie marks with all three of them having a special talent in counseling. And he thinks that in the end the CMC will grow into a bigger organization, led by AB, SB, and Scoot, and will become almost like the scouts, and they will use their talents to help other blank flanks find their destinies. Thoughts?

Personally, I think Sprocket might be onto something. We see the true talent of the CMC everyday, and it's right under each of their noses, they're just a wee bit headstrong to realize it. Their true talent doesn't lay in the activities they do, rather it is in the friendship they have created, and how they support each other, and I think they will each get their cutie marks the moment they come to that realization. If that's the case, then I can see Sprocket's theory being a major possibility.

I think they will get their cutie marks in construction, singing and dancing, but I also think the CMC will live on for future generations. We've already seen a bit of that with their branch in Manehattan. In the end I bet the CMC ends up as an organization analogous to the Girl Scouts or something similar.

I'm quite used up on mind power, but I'll try a bit more.happy.png

Anyway, I think that, should the CMC get their cutie marks, them becoming ponies who help other blank flanks in getting their cutie marks would be certainly nice! They made a friendship over that, and they would probably be sure that others could too as well. United for a common goal. Though if they DID create an organization, every single blank flank pony would come over to them, and maybe that could be too much for just 3 mares.laugh.png I think that, aside from becoming more mature and such when they grow up, they will strive to become role models to other ponies who haven't got their cutie marks yet. If a pony who's a blank flank needs help, they know they could always reach for their help.

Plus, the idea of getting a cutie mark, is doing it by your own, not through some organization, and I'm sure the CMC would think that as well. If a filly or colt needs help getting their cutie marks, they could always get help from Scootaloo, Sweetie or Applebloom, but all these three would just give hints to help the pony on figuring out on his own, and gain the cutie mark he/she so much wants.

The CMC becoming sort of counselors is a nice idea, but not as an organization, but rather, just as role model mares every blank flank pony knows they could count on whenever they wanted to.smile.png

The idea of the CMC becoming leaders of an entire organization dedicated to getting fillies their cutie marks has been a head canon theory since they're premiere; counseling similar to that notion isn't that different of a theory. Both are fairly interesting theories, and I think it'd make perfect sense. In the end, the CMC have been hunting their special talent as good friends for a long time, so the idea of seeing the writers make an episode showing them gaining a cutie mark for 'finding cutie marks' so to speak, would be kind of cool.

A few other things:

-Babs starting her 'own branch' of the CMC, and thus effectively 'expanding the club' could be a hint or foreshadow to that, down the line, come to think of it.

-If the CMC all got thier cutie marks in the same general area of counseling for helping fillies find their cutie marks, there would be no need for potential 'one of them gets a cutie mark before the others and a wedge comes between them' situations, nor a 'they get their cutie marks and there isn't any point of the CMC anymore'. The CMC would live on past the three of them, and they'd run it.

But yeah, this is something that's been on the back-burner for the CMC since season one, albeit in different words. I'm interested to see if that's how the show goes.

They get rock, paper and scissors as their cutie marks and realize their destiny is to kill eachother in a three-way murder-suicide pact.

Actually I like to think Scootaloo would have either a clenched dragon fist or a dragon hand set up for the three stooges poke in eye, Sweetie Belle would have a musical note and Applebloom has some variation of the curly shuffle

so you got the singer, the dancer, and the artist.

...

TIME TO BECOME A COUNSIL!

while they might help other blank flanks, but the rest seems a little not correct.

I hope they will become a big organisation like the Girl Scouts or Girl Guides, it would be amazing.

But we have also seen their individual talents, like Scootaloo seems like a real daredevil and Sweetie Belle has a good voice.

Hopefully that's what the writers have in plan for the CMC's future, I can't wait to see it, if it happens!

Agreed, I atleast think that the CMC have already been shown to have talents in certain skills already, I don't think they are going to end up with the same relative talent, Sweetiebelles is obviously singing, Scootaloo has to do with his scooter probably(Or maybe even dancing, something along those lines :P.) And Appleblooms has to do with building or construction.

The thing is they're to caught up in finding out what they're good at to realize this.

I think the CMC is going to stay blank flanks for a while. They probably won't change for quite a while I imagine, since that kinda permenate change to their model and character and all of that isn't something that happens that often in shows. I'm sure eventually it will happen, but I assume it'll be a while.

As for the CMC as a whole, I think the organization that Bab's is trying to start will end up branching out from there or something eventually and it'll become a organization all over Equestria. Not a giant business run kinda thing, but just like a bit chain of little society's of blank flanks trying to get there cutie marks.

That may never actually be shown as cannon though, then again who knows..

But I think the CMC's talents are relatively clear. There not 100% specifically stated, but they're general area it'll be in has been implied before.

The idea is good, but I just don't see that being their cutie marks. Because in the end they are finally going to take the advice of what everypony has been telling them for years and just tell them the same thing, To take their time and someday they well fined the skill they are best at.

I see them passing the CMC down to another group, but as for their involvement, I say they would just let the future ones do it on their own with their friends.

My thoughts on how the episode will go down - AB SB and Scoot get their cutie marks and are all happy and showing off, and either one or two of their classmates who don't have their mark or a group of younger ponies says something about how they wish they had their cutie marks already. The girls look at each other with a knowing smile and toss them the CMC capes, and tell them that they're the next generation of Crusaders, and it's up to them to discover what their special talent is. Then they turn and walk off, letting the kids do their own thing and discover their talents on their own.

The problem that I have with the idea of the CMC turning into a counselling group is that a big part about getting your cutie mark is self discovery. If someone takes you by the hand to lead you to your special talent, it bypasses that journey.
