Pony Creation Stories

We already know how Equestria and Ponyville were founded, but anyone ever curious how the universe they live in was created, or what creation stories they have to explain it?

 

I personally like to believe that at first there was nothing except for 3 all-powerful pony deities, one pegasi, one unicorn, and one earth. First, the pegasi preformed a giant Sonic Rainboom, on a scale unimaginable to anyone today, and from this explosion (analogous to the big bang) created the universe, sun, moon, and the planet or land they live on. Then, the unicorn used her magic to create the trees, plants, and water, and place them on this new planet. Finally, the earth pony used her hooves to shape the ponies to live on this land, creating 3 races, each in the image of each of the dieties. They also decided to create a race of rulers, which would watch over the ponies and the land. They gave these rulers qualities of each of the races, and named them Alicorns.

I dunno about some of you, but I'm gonna go with fanfiction on this one.

Background Pony has my favorite version of creation.

I don't remember the whole thing, but it's something about a cosmic matriarch who weaves all of creation out of a song.

Im doing something similar with some Fics I’m writing not totally on the beginning of times but expanding the world of ponies and creating storylines and “legends”  that are in the books of Equestria.

"In the beginning there was nothing, And then the great Alicorn Faust spoke and commanded. "Let there be light!" And there was light. And then she commanded again. "Let there be better lighting!" And there was better lighting. Then she said. "Let there be happy colors." And there were happy colors. And the Great Faust looked upon the light and the colors and saw that they were good. Then she commanded.  "let there be Magic." And across the land hills and mountains and forests appeared. And out of these Ponies and other creatures emerged, all unique. And Faust looked down upon her creation and said, "Eh needs to be about 20% cooler." So she created Rainbow Dash and looked upon her creation, and she saw Rainbow Dash was awesome! Then some other stuff happened which I don't remember and that leads up to today." 

Rainbow Dash basked in the thunderous applause of Scootaloo's cheering while AppleBloom and Sweetie Bella looked incredulously at her.

Well, according to the MLP IPhone app, Celestia created the pegasi herself to do the weather. 

 

 

Would that mean that Celestia was alive during the first Hearths Warming Eve as the Pegasi existed back then?   This would make sense, due to the flag at the end of the play. 

 

 

She just might have not been mentioned as she wasn't needed for the story. See? This wasn't exactly a plot hole!

 

Overall, I do like the idea of Celestia being literally an all powerful Goddess of sorts and that she created everything...somehow.
