She closed her eyes, and her head started to glow. In front of Jet, a stalagmite appeared in front of him, blocking his way. "You aren't going anywhere." Before he realized it, he wrapped Rose into a hug, as if all of her sadness and worry could be wisked away with a simple embrace, "Rose" he began, "I never realized the hurt you've been through, I am so sorry youve had to go through what you have. But I just want you to know, that... if you want me to stay... I promise you I will never leave your side. I can sense the hurt in you, and I dont want to see you hurting" he continued to hug her. Before I met you, I was a drifter, didnt make many friends, and was overall a lonely pegasus. But when I met you... I dont know... I just felt that youve shown a better side of me, true, I may have come across as thickheaded and cocky, but honestly, Im just glad Ive had the chance to meet somepony like you. It was then that I experienced your kindness, and it didnt change, even when the others showed up, complete strangers, you couldve said no, but you didnt. That is the most kindness I've ever seen in one pony". He then sighed again, "I just wish my first impression was better, I always come across as some cocky jerk who cant shut his own mouth". (1- Apparently. 2- First it was raining fire, then it was raining rocks, now its calm for the most part. 3- No. Talk to Rose about the demons.) Flynn woke up hazily, unable to make out any of the events that occurred. He saw Rose buried in Cloud's hooves, both embracing in a well needed hug. He smiled and tried to get up, but felt a sharp pain, more painful than ever before, shoot through his legs. He screamed in pain as he fell back onto the ground. Then he remembered the events before he went out. He turned to find his right hind leg, now a mixture of blue and purple, throb every few seconds. As he was still fleeing, he noticed a small cave nearby. He sighed as he started to rush towards the cave entrance, but his joy was shortlived. Another boulder fell just in front of the entrance to the cave, sealing the entrance off. "No! This can't be happening!!!" he exclaimed, trying to budge the boulder, but to no avail it would not budge. "Why... Of all things to happen, why this???" Just then, the area nearby him began to burst into flames. Everywhere he looked, there was nothing but walls of fire sealing him in. "No... Am I... Am I gonna..." he whimpered, collapsing to the ground, as if resigning himself. "I'm gonna... Die..." Tears then began to form in his eyes, as the flames slowly began to move closer to him. "Mom... Dad..." started the young colt. "I'll be seeing you soon..." But as he closed his eyes, a voice called out to him; a voice very familiar to him. "Don't give up, son. You still have your whole life ahead of you." ----- As soon as he heard that voice, his eyes flew wide open. Looking around, he saw he was still in the shed with all the other ponies. "Mom..." he thought, "Dad... I promise... I won't give up, no matter what may happen... Thank you for rekindling the flame in my heart to push forward..."
