Glitter Nerd 4 January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 Wow really good for a first try! Much better than anything I could ever do! I hope you stick with it and keep drawing ponies, awesome job!
Drahgoon 152 January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 Really nice for a first drawing! Happy to see how everyone is deciding to start drawing. Now, your drawing is ALMOST perfect. The only happy accident is the legs. The legs should be thicker and a little shorter. The hock on the back legs should also be higher up. Those things aside, it's an amazing drawing. Keep it up! I'm not sure if i want him shorter. the legs are tricky cause i want them to look rounded not flat and straight. i didn't notice the hock until now and i feel silly. Wow really good for a first try! Harmonic Revelations 8,835 January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 Great for a first try! To be honest, my first try looked like a giraffe mixed with a bear. Keep it up and continue drawing and you'll get even better, I'm sure!

But theres no rejecting the fact that it helps. Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Moon Rat 4,772 January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 I would have to say not a bad first attempt at drawing however, the legs look almost disproportionate to his body (long skinny legs on a somewhat bulky body) Other than that, not bad Thank you Nas for the sig :3 #HugWoona
Cupcake_Cannon 10 January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 This is really good for your first try! I was thinking of drawing a pony myself though mine would probably be terrible lol, anyway great job for your first try.

KaryDactyl 26 January 6, 2013 Share January 6, 2013 Pretty good for a first try! Some other things I noticed have already been pointed out, so I'll just mention one thing. I'm not sure what's going on with where his front legs attach to his body. (But TBH, that's the second biggest issue I have with drawing ponies myself. XD) Assuming the leg that's angled towards his hindlegs is his right front leg (and should therefore be on the side of his body opposite the viewer), you might want to make the line that marks his belly continue to where his left front leg attaches. I hope that makes sense, it's kind of hard to describe. XD I like that he looks really serious and manly (mane-ly? lol), way cool. The left front leg has a line i drew to show its connected but he is flexing it(i guess you would say) to walk. the right leg(the one thats toward the hind leg) is in the process of being lifted up to walk forward(i know im confusing you) but everytime i drew it lifted up it looked like a deformed log. Thanks i tried to make him look gruff R.I.P. Lord Bababa and Harmonic Revelations
