"That sounds like a lovely idea!" Snowdream said. She grabbed her scarf, benie, coat and boots from her bag and putting them all on. She smilies cutely to River, her benie falling over her face a bit.

 

She grabbed the gift basket emptying it onto the bed.

 

"Well now we have a basket, now all we need is food..."

Snowdream looked beyond adorable in her beanie, and River found it very attractive.

 

"Well, I have some corn chips and popcorn from yesterday, oh! And orange soda, is that cool with you?" he asked. River realized the popcorn may not be so fresh anymore, but then again he figured he wants to do this to spent time with Snowdream outside more-so than to eat, so it didn't bother him.

"So, what kind of job do you have back in Canterlot?" asked River randomly. He wanted to make some small talk, and he also was pretty curios as to Snowdream's life style back home.

 

But before she could answer, the elevator made a *ding* and the doors opened. Both of them went inside, and River asked again.

"So uh, you have an answer?"

"Well aside from my studies at princess Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, I took up foal sitting a bit and I also did a little bit of waitressing on and off, just a few jobs to earn some money. What about you? What did you do?" Snowdream asked as they walked through the lobby.

Starshy giggled. " I forgive you. You are too cute for me to get upset at. " She gave his cheek a small kiss. " Now close your eyes and we'll be back at my hotel room in a flash. " She said, as her unicorn horn began to glow. In a flash of pink light, they were transported back to her room, or at least outside of it.

 

Starshy continued to use her magic to leivate her card and slide it in to open the door. Once she trotted inside, she glanced at Storm and then back around the room. She didn't know quiet what to do from here, as she let go of his hoof. " So.. um, want to watch a movie? "

Storm still wasn't used to the disorienting effects of teleportation and nearly fell over when they reached their destination. A few moments later and he followed Starshy into her room. "I will try it..." she said out of the bathroom while she was flooded in water within the shower.

Chocolate nodded silently even though she couldn't see him. He shook his head and fixed his long black mane as he took a moment to groom his fur with a small comb he had brought in his saddlebag. He knew how important it was for pegasi to eat, especially Blazing Storm. He waited near the front of the door patiently until he finally heard the water shut off in the bathroom. When she emerged from the bathroom he greeted her and made a motion towards the door. "Let's go get something to eat. The dining area should still be serving breakfast now." He said opening the door for her.

I mean for someone that has no practice aside from with you I would think myself as at least decent, I am a fast learner after alll, so am I getting better? I feel like I'm getting better at the very least and-" River paused as he noticed they have made it to their desired picnic location.

 

"I guess I got a little carried away, heh" he smiled awkwardly, "I guess we should set the picnic up" he said.

"Let's go get something to eat. The dining area should still be serving breakfast now." He said opening the door for her.

 

Blaze nodded and went to Chocolate, still a bit dizzy. "I hope that they have much to eat... i need something in my stomache..." she said smiling softly. She left the room with him and started to walk to the dining area. "I bet you need something more than just hay now, do you?" she asked him laughing. Nopony could just eat hay all the day... or could he? She wasn´t sure but was hay perhaps the source of his magnificent strength? Nah, she didn´t want to taste just hay all the day. She wanted salad, fruits and filled vegetables. There were sometimes opportunities that she had to eat like a combine harvester to keep her energy.

 

It didn´t take long to get to the dining area. Blaze looked around and found a free place. As the waitress came she started to order again. "I wanna have a big coffee pot and big mixed salad, also i wanna have 6 heavy sandwiches with everything and um...  well, let´s start with this." she said grinning, waiting for Chocolate to order his food.

" H-Horror movies? " Starshy flinched at the suggestion, feeling herself pale. He liked horror? She hated that genre. It scared the living daylights out of her and for good reason.

 

Well, what did you think Starshy? That he'd want to watch something cutey? He's been around you for hours, of course he'll want to watch something scary. She thought to herself.

 

She turned away, and trotted over to the television. She leviated the remote, handing it over to Storm. " I-I'm sure there's something. You can pick it. I think I'll take a shower. " She said, and trotted to the bathroom, opening the door and shutting it once she was inside.

Storm winced when he noticed Starshy's not so subtle response to watching a horror movie. You should have asked what types of movies she likes, you idiot! Okay, calm down. Let's see if we can find a not-so-scary film. Storm sat down on the bed and began to sifting through the options. Saw II, The Ponyville Horror, A Nightmare on Stirrup Street. All great movies but not the best options for a pony who didn't like to get spooked. I'll just ask her what she wants to watch when she gets out of the shower, Storm thought, as he began perusing the romantic comedy section.

Starshy stepped into the shower, turning on the water. A warm steam of water began to fall onto her body, and she closed her eyes. It felt good and relaxing. She began to think of her budding relationship with Storm. What would become of them once they got back to Ponyville? Would they continue to see each other? She hoped this wasn't some vacation fling. The thought made her nerves stand on end and she had to shake herself of such worries.

 

There I go again, worrying about something that is out of my control. She thought as opened her eyes and began washing.

 

After her shower was over, she leviated a towel over and dryed herself off and then wrapped the towel into her mane. Starshy looked in the mirror, the relfection of a white-colored mare whose rose-pink mane was in a towel stared back at her.

 

It's going to be okay. I don't need to overthink everything so much.  Starshy made quick work of getting her mane and tail dried. Using her magic once again, out of habit, let her mane down and gave it a soft wavy look. It looked a bit longer down but also just as pretty. She smiled to herself, knowing that Storm would definitely appreicate her "new" mane-do as well.

 

Opening the bathroom door, Starshy trotted out. She went over to the bed and ploped onto it beside Storm. " So, did you find something? "

She left the room with him and started to walk to the dining area. "I bet you need something more than just hay now, do you?" she asked him laughing.

Chocolate blushed and nodded a little. "Maybe something with more subsistence is needed today." He said wondering what she would order this time. He'd probably have what she was having just because she seemed to know what to eat. He noticed she still seemed a little dizzy and walked a little closer to her just in case she happened to stumble. Once they got into the dining room she seemed to recover quickly by just the smell of the cooked food.

"I wanna have a big coffee pot and big mixed salad, also i wanna have 6 heavy sandwiches with everything and um...  well, let´s start with this." she said grinning, waiting for Chocolate to order his food.

The waiter quickly jotted down the order then looked to Chocolate. "I'll have some hay, two texas toast daisy sandwiches and a fruit bowl please... oh and some water." He said making himself comfortable in his seat. Once the waiter took their order he was back to the kitchen to fetch it. He sat near the table by her and looked around the resort. "What do you want to do today? And for that matter... where is everypony from yesterday?"

River took a big breathe in, closing his eyes, soaking in the sensation of such high places, such view, such air, these are the moments he loved the most, heights mostly, and views, amazing views, views of the valley from the mountain he was on, and the view of his amazing marefriend, the way she looked in that lighting, in her beanie and hr scarf, River loved her, he loved the way she looked, and he loved everything about her.

 

River sat down on the rug Snowdream had put down. Snowdream sat next to him and he kissed her. He turned his looked back at the view of the valley, and he took another big breath in.

 

"Don't you just love the mountains?" he asked.

"What do you want to do today? And for that matter... where is everypony from yesterday?"

 

"Umm... well i have heard that this resort has a lot of relaxing possibilties like.. um... sauna, massage rooms and swimming pools. But also something where you can relieve stress like gyms, training rooms and gaming halls. I don´t know what you wanna do or what your hobbies are like. I could do everything!" she answered to Chocolate and laughed. "I don´t know about the other ponies. Perhaps they have already finished breakfast... or they are sleeping even longer than we did..." she said, thinking about it.

 

After a while the waitress came back with their food and she started to eat and drink. It was tasty and the sandwiches were filled with a lot of stuff like salad, baked cheese and olives. Also the coffee was good and it didn´t take long for Blaze to recover most of her energy within short time. With every bite of this delicious and subsistence food she could feel strength surging inside her. After she finished with eating she stretched a bit and she had regained her fierce personality. "I´d love to go out to fly some rounds..." she just said and looked out of the window.

"What did you say? I didn't hear you" he said not even looking at Snowdream, something else caught his eye. There was a band of birds flying in the sky, in that triangle that birds fly in, River never understood why birds do that. He noticed Snowdream didn't reply, so he turned to look at her, and he saw she was hiding her face from him.

 

"Oh Snowdream, what's wrong?" he asked sincerely.

"Holy buck Snowdream, you are a genius and a mastermind I can not believe you just made this I love you so much man, so much right now" declared River. Then an idea struck him.

 

"You know what?" he said rhetorically and stood on four, "wait right here" he said and took flight. He used all his force to dash as fast as he can to the next mountain over, or at least the next hill as it seemed. River picked up a rock and took it with him back to Snowdream.

 

"Now witness, the artiste" he said with a fake French accent. River took the rock and threw it as far as he could, into the valley. He looked as his watch, counting seconds until it hits.

*bonk*

"4.73 seconds, okay" he said. Then he took the bottle of Orange Soda and threw it as well. Snowdream made a concerned look. River dashed over to where he predicted the bottle will land, but the bottle flew right by him, and got smashed completely. River had an expressionless face on him. He returned to Snowdream empty handed.

 

"Yeah, so uh, in case I didn't mention," he took a second to look away and then look back, "I'm not perfect, heh" he said.

Snowdream dug her way out of the snow laughing at how foolish she had been.

 

"Ahhh I 'ave snow up my nose...ACHOO!" She sneezed, sending snow flying everywhere. She collapsed back into the snowdrift, laughing so hard her stomach hurt.

"Oh noooooo" he said sarcastically and fell right next to Snowdream. "You looked lonely  so I dropped by and yes, I did just make that whole fake falling thing just for the pun" he said. He looked at her, she looked back. Then he looked at the sky.

 

"The sky looks really nice today, it's probably nicer up close if you know what I'm saying, heh" River tried to joke, but he forgot for a second that Snowdream wasn't a pegasus. Then it hit him, that she's not. "Oh, um, never-mind" he tried to hide what he said.

"So how about that igloo huh?" She asked fdiging her way out of the snow drift for the second time today. Using her magic Snowdream froze a section of soft snow into thick ice, making enough that they would have space to build an igloo on top of it.

Chocolate seemed very interested in the various activities she had described to him. Particularly the training rooms, if he was lucky they had a punching bag there so he could pick up his old favorite past time, boxing. He looked her in the eyes and smiled. "The training room sounds wonderful. It's been a while since I did any real training." He said with a fiery gleam in his eye. It was rare the stallion ever got excited about anything but he couldn't help himself.

 

When the waiter returned with their food, the brown equine watched as Blazing Storm dug into her own food leaving him his own dishes. Again, he wasn't as big a eater as she was but he did manage to finish most of his food before wiping his muzzle with a napkin. Blaze had finished her meal a bit earlier than he had.

""I´d love to go out to fly some rounds..." she just said and looked out of the window.

He stood up from his seat and placed the bits on the table to pay for their breakfast. "Well, if you'd like I can watch you fly for a while. I don't mind." He said wondering if the weather had cleared up since yesterday. "You sound like you need to get rid of some pent up energy."
