private Winter Resort Romance and Slice of Life

River snapped. He let go of the stallion and sat down. He tried to hold back, but the second he glanced at Snowdream, he burst into tears. He hid his face, sobbing, not knowing how all of this happened, or how to react, all this pain and all these ponies with broken legs and flesh-wounds and all terrified from the cold. All of that, and he was just sitting in his room, doing nothing, while the ponies got hurt. Could he have stopped this? No, albeit he could have been there earlier. But he didn't, and this is what happened.

"What do we do now?" he asked the stallion he nearly punched a minute ago.

 

(OOC: next time, quote me dude, otherwise I won't be able to be here right after you make a post )

Rocket thought to himself for a second, he looked at the room and started to think of a plan, "you should stay here with her, make sure shes comfortable. im sure she will be extremely happy to see you whne she comes too. im going to go and find somepony to help with Her and cracker. ill be back in a while. And River" Rocket put a reassuring hoof on River's shoulder. "everything is going to be alright, I promise" he gave a warm smile to river and ran off to look for help.

Chocolate had been out in the snow for several minutes, though with how cold it was it felt like hours. Still he pressed on with only a scarf wrapped around his neck to keep himself warm. Images of the injured ponies back at the resort flashed in his head. Even though Cracker Jack and Rocket had told him it was their choice to go along it didn't help him deal with the guilt. Had he not have suggested going out in the snow to them no one would have gotten hurt, including the mares. "Please be okay everyone."

 

And now Blazing Storm was out there somewhere, alone. He couldn't stand the thought of her lost in the cold because of him. If she was hurt, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself. "I'll find you, Blaze." He said softly under his breath.

 

What would be knee deep snow for any other pony was only up to the darkened parts of his legs and hoofs. The large stallion had little trouble exploring the harsh terrain but the weather was starting to get to him as well. If this kept up he would come down with hypothermia. It was when he was about to call out for her that he heard something in the distance. It was barely audible over the winds but he was certain he had heard it.

 

"What the buck? Damn yooouuuuu!" she screamed into the cold air. 

 

No doubt about it, it was Blaze. He focused and tried to trace the voice's direction and soon began to head in that direction. After a long trek he came across a small building. The door leading inside the building looked as though it had been broken into. Cautiously he stepped forward and peeked in. "...Is anyone here?" He asked keeping his ears perked for any reply or sound. "Blaze is that you?"

Snowdream opened her eyes again. She stared at the ceiling, her vision unfocused and blury. She rubbed her eyes with her hoof, trying to improve her vision.

 

Without warning, she started coughing uncontrolably. With every cough came a sharp pain in her chest.

 

By the end of her coughing fit, she was whimpering in pain.

 

She slowly looked around the lobby. There were ponies lying on chairs, hurt like her.

 

She finally recognized that River was with her. He looked like he had been crying.

 

'Did I do something to make him sad?'she asked herself.

 

'Ill apologies just incase' she decided.

 

"I....I'm..s...rry... Riv...er" she slurred.

 

'wow talking really is hard work!' Snowdreams eyelids started drooping, suddenly becoming very heavy.

 

As much as she tried to resist, sleep took hold, and sent Snowdream to the land if dreams.

Starshy shook her head. " I think perhaps you just need to actually talk with him. Then maybe he wouldn't seem to scary to you. "

 

They finally went into the resturant together and were seated. When Storm spoke of the other ponies that had gone to search for power and that they should look for them, a concerned expression appeared on her face. " Oh no.. What if Chocoolate is out in that storm? " She thought of that big stallion out in a blizzardy storm and possibly getting hurt. Then again maybe one of the other ponies had. It made her feel a bit wearily. " I guess we should.. " She said, saddened they couldn't stay and eat. She stood up and sat down beside Storm. She placed her hoof onto his. " But before we do, there's something I'd like to do.. in case something were to happen and I wouldn't have another chance. " Gathering up her courage, she learned forward and kissed Storm gently.

Storm sat there, looking at Starshy. what does she mean 'something she has to- his thought process came to a screeching halt. A kiss was the last thing he had expected. He was enjoying it so much that he forgot about less important things, like maintaining his balance. With a loud 'thump' he fell off the seat. A dark blush crept across his cheeks as he got back up. "Uhm...sorry about that. You suprised me." He broke into an embarrassed grin. There was a flash of green in his peripheral vision and he turned to find his wings pointing straight out from his body. "Oh Celestia" he said, wishing he could dissapear.

Starshy blushed as well. Had she really just done that? It was very bold of her, but Storm had been so sweet to her. He was comforting, caring, listening to her when she told him of her past, and best of all he liked her too.

 

The kiss was wonderful. She felt as though if she had wings, she could just float away. However, they had some important matters on their hoofs. She had to give herself a shake to rid of the lovebug. Wait, lovebug? Does she mean she loves him? Oh Sweet Celestia..

 

She bowed her head shyly, and glanced up slightly to see he had fallen over and was just as embarrassed. She couldn't help grinning. " You are just too cute. " She said and got up from the table. She held out her hoof to him. " So, shall we go? You know, to see if those other ponies are okay? "

Blazing Storm looked at the frozen generator and thought about a solution to start this thing. She couldn´t pull the lever because it was to cold to be moved.  Perhaps she should rub with her fur on this thing to get it warm and the ice off? She tried it but she just got more cold with the metallic surface. "Brrrrr... that wasn´t the best idea..." she shivered. Her coat was already partially frozen but since she could move, she wanted to try more. She kicked the thing several times with a little hope that eventually the ice fell off. But it didn´t work at all.

 

 

Cautiously he stepped forward and peeked in. "...Is anyone here?" He asked keeping his ears perked for any reply or sound. "Blaze is that you?"

 

She squeaked aloud and jumped into the air as Chocolate looked inside the rooms and startled her. She crashed with the lever and pulled it down with this incident. The generator started working slowly and heating up. She turned around, shivering and trembling because of the scare and the cold. "D.. D.. Don´t... sca... scare me l.. like... that!" mumbled to him. She couldn´t even move her wings anymore, they were too stiff and cold. "I... i wanna... g.. g.. go back... w.. would be... nice to... have so.. some hot tea..." she mumbled to him. She wasn´t used to a temperature like that and it could easily be seen that she had much problems with that. She was near to the point of tiredness... just some sleep would be nice right now...

Storm thought it was impossible but his blush deepened a few shades when Starshy commented that he was 'too cute'. "What other ponies? Oh yeah, right." Storm was still a little shaken after that kiss. He could have sworn he felt a literal spark from it. Is that what love feels like? The pegasus shook his head to dispel such thoughts, he didn't want to go rushing to conclusions and ruin everything. Looking up, he saw Starshy's outstretched hoof and used it to get back on all fours. "Which direction do you think they went?" Storm asked, trying to put on an air of confidence. He didn't want Starshy to lose confidence in him about the journey.

" Let's head to the lobby first. There may be some ponies there. " Starshy said, taking his hoof again and used a spell to teleport, the both of them back to the lobby in a flash (literally). When they arrived, Starshy glanced around and sure enough there were ponies laying about, looking to be in pain and injured. The normally shy pony stepped forward, clearing her throat. " Uh, does anypony need help? I know of a healing spell. It's a bit complicated, but I think I'll be able to do it. "

" Let's head to the lobby first. There may be some ponies there. " Starshy said, taking his hoof again and used a spell to teleport, the both of them back to the lobby in a flash (literally). When they arrived, Starshy glanced around and sure enough there were ponies laying about, looking to be in pain and injured. The normally shy pony stepped forward, clearing her throat. " Uh, does anypony need help? I know of a healing spell. It's a bit complicated, but I think I'll be able to do it. "

"oh thank celestia over here!" rocket said, "we have a mare over here unconscious, and she needs some help" Rocket pointed over to snowdream. Rocket felt very relived to see somepony willing and able to help. "shes over here. I don't know what happened, she helped me onto the couch and I passed out, and when I woke up, she herself was out"

Starshy nodded at Rocket, and went over to the mare that he had pointed to. She looked the mare over, and took a deep breathe. Her horn began to glow, and she lowered it toward Snowdream, chanting something under her breathe. The glowing coming from her horn grew brighter, and she winced a bit in trying to contract and get the spell right. A magical aura surrounded Snowdream, shining and glowing, healing the pains that she had. 

 

Starshy opened her eyes again, the magic faded from both her horn and from the mare. She studied her for a moment and then looked back at Rocket. " She should be alright now. Hopefully she'll wake up soon. "

Snowdream opened her eyes. Yawning she sat up. It was at that moment that she realized that she want in pain, She felt refreashed and comfortable.

 

Glancing down she noticed her leg was healed from when she tripped on the stairs, her muzzle was healed, from when River slammed the door in her face, and all the cuts, scrapes, burns and bruises had magically healed and dissapeared, leaving no scaring.

 

She looked up and saw the stallion from before...

 

'What was his name?... Rocket!' She remembered. And standing next to him was another mare, one she hadn't met before.

"Oh thank you so much umm-" he said, not knowing the mare who just healed snowdream. He looked at snowdream and said "now I can actually thank you for helping me. Thank you so much snowdream, and I found river for you" he pointed at the stallion standing near them.

" I'm Starshy. " She smiled at Rocket and Snowdream. " It's nice to meet you two. You should also thank Storm Front, he was the one who mentioned we should look for the other ponies. " She wanted to give him some credit too. If he hadn't mentioned it, she may've not been here to heal Snowdream. She smiled over at him and then looked back at Snowdream. " Are you alright? "

"I...I think so..." Snowdream answered, "I'm Snowdream. "I wouldn't mind learning that spell off you, it seems to be pretty effective, I feel fine. Oh... I almost forgot! Thankyou!" Snowdream said, pulling the mare ino a tight hug.

 

"Hold on a minute... How did I get here?..." She trailed off.

Chocolate stepped inside and spotted the half frozen pegasus whom he had startled with his presence.  

 "D.. D.. Don´t... sca... scare me l.. like... that!" mumbled to him. 

"...My apologies." He calmly said as he stepped in and saw she had accidentally activated the backup generator during her little scare. The resort's generators had been turned on and now everyone wouldn't have to worry about the power. His concerns however were on her, the poor thing appeared frozen and unable to use her wings. "Blaze..." He quickly trotted by her side and took his scarf from around his neck and placed it around hers. The large warm scarf covered her neck and body as he finished. 

 

"I... i wanna... g.. g.. go back... w.. would be... nice to... have so.. some hot tea..." she mumbled to him.

 

He shook his head. "Don't push yourself too hard..." He said with a worried expression. He moved with her and noticed she could barely walk. "If we go out there now while you are like this, your legs might give out. We have to warm you first." He said thinking aloud. He looked around the room for something to warm them and saw nothing. Without hesitation he pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her, trying to warm her with his body heat. He could feel her shivering against him and he rested his head on hers. "I will stay... with you. As long as you need me to." He said in his deep voice.

 

About 30 minutes later they emerged from the small generator room with him walking alongside her in the snow headed towards the resort. He walked close to her so she could lean on him if need be, he knew she was stronger than she appeared but she was still under the weather's harsh conditions. "Almost there, once we get back I'll get you something nice and hot to eat okay?" He said to her as they neared the resort. He pushed the door open and let Blazing Storm inside first and closed the door behind him. He could see the group still in the main lobby, Cracker Jack, Rocket, and even Starshy who appeared to have just finished patching up the blue mare he had helped earlier.

River was too eccentric to even notice Starshy coming into the scene. He glanced up just to peek and saw that Snowdream was suddenly healed.

"Snowdream!" he shouted from excitement, he immediately came over to her and hugged her. His tears still not fully gone, but instead replaced with tears of happiness to see Snowdream was fine.

"Are you okay? What happened to you?" he asked.

He could see Snowdream's eyes glistening, it made him shiver slightly. "Promise me you won't make me feel that pain again, I don't want you to ever get hurt anymore" he said.

"Snowdream, I felt the same way when I saw all of these ponies in pain after Rocket called me down here" he said, pausing to pan over everypony in the room with his hoof, "but most of all, when I saw you knocked-out, which is why I want you to promise me something" he said. He could see Snowdream's eyes glistening, it made him shiver slightly. "Promise me you won't make me feel that pain again, I don't want you to ever get hurt anymore" he said.

Rocket smiled at the sight of the couple, but something had confused him, Others? he looked around and noticed the other ponies, and his friend with a broken leg. rocket had forgot about everyone trying to make sure one person was ok. he cursed himself and asked franticly, "Starshy, how does your magic do against broke limbs?"

Starshy was a little taken back from Snowdream's hug, but also glad that she as okay now. When other stallion, whose name was River as she heard it, came over and the two began to talk. She backed away so they could have their moment. Her eyes turned to glance at Rocket when he asked her rather frantically about broken limbs. "If I was able to heal Snowdream's injuries, then a broken limb should be no problem."

"Oh thank you so much!" Rocket said excitedly, "he's over here, something happened and his hoof is in really bad shape" rocket led starshy over to Cracker Jack. His hoof looked awful, rocket felt tears run down his face. "Starshy, you don't know how much this means to me" rocket said.

"Woah, woah...!" she just could say while Chocolate was pulling her close to him. Blaze blushed and wanted to say something to him, but she was honest to herself... it feeled very very comfortable beeing wrapped like that and she enjoyed his warmth. She was shivering heavy and her wings couldn´t move, but since Chocolate was right and she had to warm up, she took the chance to snuggle to him a bit more. It was a cozy and fluffy and it didn´t take long for her to get a little nap while her body got warm again. About 30 minutes later after Chocolate had waken her up, they walked back to the resort. It was nice to have someone strong on her side who could give her a little cover from the weather condition. She hadn´t fully recovered from her snow trip until now but it was better for both to return to the resort.

 

 

"Almost there, once we get back I'll get you something nice and hot to eat okay?" He said to her as they neared the resort. He pushed the door open and let Blazing Storm inside first and closed the door behind him.

 

"Thank you Chocolate... that was very sweet of you." she said while entering the resort. Quick she kissed him on his cheek before the other ponies would notice. "A hot tea or something like that would be nice now." Blaze answered him with a low voice while snuggling with the scarf. She still couldn´t use her wings and her throat felt dry. The wings were like glued on her body because of the cold but the good thing was since arriving at the resort, she felt her strength quickly regenerating. She looked for somewhere to lay down and not be in the way of other ponies. She found a lobby couch and went to it, warming up with the temperature of the lobby.

Starshy smiled sweetly. " I'm just happy to help. " She said, closing her eyes once again and letting her horn starting glowing as it had down before. She lowered her horn toward Crack Jack's broken hoof/leg, mumbling the similar chant that she had spoken while healing Snowdream. A familiar magical aura surrounded just Cracker Jack's leg this time, shining/glowing brightly. The hoof instantly fixed itself, returning to it's former appearance. The magic faded once again, and Starshy's eyes blinked open. She glanced at Cracker's Jack hoof to make sure it looked alright. It did indeed. She turned to Rocket with a smile. " There, all better. "

 

It was then there was sudden sound of that when a cutie mark appears. Starshy gasped, looking at her once blank flank. On her flank now was a heart with wings. " Oh my goodness! My cutie mark! " Tears filled her eyes of joy. She had found her true talent.

rocket smiled, " congratulations! That's awesome that you got your cutie mark!" Rocket, over whelmed stumbled a little bit, "woo, it was a long day for me, thank you so much starshy, if you need anything, just come to me" rocket said with a warm smile, then he hugged his new friend and looked at Cracker Jack, waiting for him to wake up.

" Thank you, Rocket! " She said and went over to Storm, hugging him. " Look, Storm! My cutie mark! " She was beaming. Starshy felt the urge to kiss him again out of happiness. That floaty feeling that she had earlier was coming back from her cutie mark finally appearing.
