Oh my Gosh, Scootaloo!

Hey all! The name's SarfTheMagnifico, and I come to you from across the Ponynets!

Mainly, I frequent MLPchan.net, a fantastic imageboard with a great bunch of people. Mainly, we're a Ponychan break up, with some politics involved.

Nevertheless, I'm a poster there, and also, a part of the MLPCRadio podcast. I co-host the Advice Column along with my good friend Amonisis.

Also included is the occasional fic reading from BleedingRaindrops, General Pony news from your Friendly Neighborhood Shuckle, and Food Talk with Chef Clyde Stale!

We have alot of fun putting out our podcast for the folks at MLPchan, but hey, we're not just for them. So why not tune in? We have a weekly podcast, and the occasional additional feature segment. This week, my Advice Column is going to have a special guest!

Well, where do I begin?

If you want a bit of feedback, here it is:

 

I actually make a podcast myself, me and my friend do it weekly and make it ~45 minutes long usually, so if you REALLY want to call your stuff a podcast, I think it would be cool if you have a combined player with all 3 columns, because some people would like to download the thing and listen to it while going on a walk or doing something away from the computer. Don't get me wrong though, what you did so far is great

And also if you have another person talking it's always better to keep a steady flow of conversation going on instead of narrative, I mean actually talk to the other person, not the listeners, because they can't reply you kinda did that, but it should always be a focus, which it really wasn't.

Listening to your podcast now. It's missing something. Not to be rude, but there's alot of talking and nothing really interesting going on. What's the whole idea behind the show? Where's the direction?
You need a little...substance. Direction. Just my humble opinion.

 

The whole viewer thing was the main objective. It's a show for the viewers. We have a conversation about advice and things like that, but it's in the audience's direction.

 

 

 

On an unrelated note, want to do an advert trade? You give us a shout, we'll give you one?

Actually me and Harry have been struggling with that a little bit, we know we need to do more but we've tried many times and it came out bad :| so now we just do it for shits and giggles :3 But you're right, and we know about that.

 

And yeah sure I don't see why not  but to clarify the podcast's name is Hoofin' It, not B.R.O.N.Y.

Excellent! I'll mention you on next week's podcast. Make sure to link MLPchan, as the thread gets replaced each week.

 

Try turning up your mic a little, for starters, have a google doc in front of you listing what you're going to say, but don't stick too much to it, as the conversation should move around and be fluent.

First of all, you linked me to the general news. As stated, I do the Advice Column, under the same name: SarfTheMagnifico. I actually spent a good amount of money on a mic to use.

 

Second, we have a sound guy that can not only add stuff, but do the editing and remastering extremely well. He's done it previous weeks, but was sick on this one.

I'm going to be completely honest - this late in the week, we're probably not going to use that. Thanks, though.

 

And he's well enough to be doing it next week. I won't let him get away with it
