Diamond smiled. "That's what I usually do...But I feel like mixing it up. Anyway, I gotta go greet some of the ponies who will be staying in my dorm." She said, Smiling. "I will see you around Mortimer." She then walked off down the hall towards another student's room.

Continuing to wander the halls, not figuring out where he is, he spotted an older looking pony, presumably a teacher. There was a slight chance that this teacher would be one of his, but he didn't know. Approaching, he asked, "Could you direct me to room 127, I may be a bit lost."

 

((OOC: Same situation. If you have a roommate or you don't want one, show him a random direction, but in the case that you don't have one, act surprised or something ))

Diamond tapped a couple times and waited for the pony inside to answer. *I don't think this pony has a roommate yet...And I don't think Shade does ether...I wonder if one of them will be willing to move.* She thought, Looking out a window at the end of the hall. The sun could be seen Slowly sinking below the horizon.

Night Song's ears twitched when she heard a tap on the door. She got off of the bed and, without hesitation, opened the door. She opened it rather slowly and stepped out to see a tall, purple pony who looked older than her. She could also sense an aura of royalty around this mare. "Yes?" Night Song asked.

Diamond smiled. "Good afternoon Night Song. My name is Light Diamond...I am staying just a couple room's away, And I am going around to everypony in this dorm just to say hello...So...Hello." She said. "I also wanted to ask you something. If you stay in this room you wont have a Roommate, There is another pony named Shade and she also doesn't have a roommate. And I was just wondering if one of you two would be able to move into the other's room. The school made a stupid error and since I am one of the only teacher's staying in the student's dorm...Its my job to figure everything out...So here I am." She said.

Ty lied on his bed, listening to music on his phone. The familiar rhythm and melody of the song consumed his hearing. A series of high pitched noises, not agitating in any way, but more to muse. Then came the humming of Sonny John Moore's voice and then an abrupt 'YES OH MY GOSH!'. The song repeated the cycle of beats and wubs. It was late in the day already, and Typhoon was anxious as to know if he got a roommate or not. After some conclusive thinking, he decided not to get his hopes up. In fact, it might be nice without a roommate. Then again, he hated the cynical being of being alone.

The sound of knocking was to be heard on Ty's door, followed by the door opening. In the doorway stood a colt carrying a gray saddlebag, his mane waving back even though there was no breeze around. The pony examined the room then Ty, stepping in, still holding his bag, seeming unsure of himself. "Is this Room 127."

 

((OOC: Can't force you, so your choice. I decided Air Opal simply didn't get an answer from the teacher, and he continued searching and finally found it.))

Lila gently took one of the wings in her hoof, feeling the deformities. She noticed how tense the muscles were. "You're really not comfortable in these are you?" she asked with a gentle tone. One that would be used on a distressed filly. "You should really relax the muscles. I wouldn't think its good for the bone or the wing over all." The wing felt weird but at the same time it fascinated her. She considered herself and Cascade  lucky to have pulled the same room. Lila let go of Cascades wing and gave her a smile. "Well since we don't have anything to do today ill get started on working on something temporary for you." Lila went up to her stuff on the desk trying to decide what ingredients to use. 

((Sorry, I've gotten carried away. I found a version of Smile that was actually in my vocal range. And I gotta say, this altered version sounds far better than the original. It's just a shift pitch, don't worry.

))

 

She flinched as Lila examined the wing closer, and was touching it, but Cascade couldn't help smiling gently after she had returned to her alchemy set. Lila was too kind. They had only just met, after all, and she was going through all this trouble for her. "I might just head to the gym, see if there's a steam room there or something," she said. "Maybe that'll help me relax..." She emptied her saddlebag, and put it on, solely for the sake of hiding the wings, as had become habit for her, and opened the door. "Lila? Thank you." she said quietly, looking over her shoulder at the mare.

"Sorry, but..." Ty took a look at the dorm number. He got up to look at it. The number was fake, as black tape had been used to cover up the real number. "You know what, I don't know... yet," with that, Ty tore off the masking tape, and revealed it was indeed dorm 127. Typhoon chuckled. "Wow, these guys covered up the dorm number with tape and made it 69. So I guess yea, this is dorm 127. You my roommate?"

"Name's Air Opal," he said, taking a mixture of liquidambar out of his bag, inspecting it to make sure it hadn't leaked it's precious substance.

Mortimer entered his room, 130. He sat in the bed and took a book out of his saddle bag. "Let's read this once more time." he said as he opened a book named "How to adapt to a new school".

"Meh" he thought as he closed the book. "I lost 15 minutes of my life. Now i hope i get a roommate, even though i'm used to sleep alone."

Well, good start. He wasn't a dick. He seemed to want to be friends right off the bat, only making Star a bit more cautious. He closed he door behind him, setting down his heavy saddle bags on his side of the room. "Pleasure to meet you Rambler. Where exactly do you come from, if you don't mind me inquiring?"

Lila turned and waved to Cascade as she went out the door with a empty saddlebag. *Alright... lets do this. Now I need some of these, and these... and these.... this is going to have to cook over night.* she thought as she grabbed the ingredients one by one and smashing them in a small wooden bowl. She then took one of the glass bottles and filled it with water, then placed it in one of the slots on the brew stand. She added one more glass bottle. Lila then took a candle and set it in the holder, then set the mashed ingredients into a flask. Her horn sparked then a small orange flame ignited. She focused on the candle and a small flame sprung to life on the wick. She then set the flask on a rack above the candle. *Good. Now I just have to connect this hose and wait for the ingredients to turn to a gas then condense back into a liquid once its cool. And im going to have to wait all night too.* she thought going to her bed and laying down comfortably.

"I come from Stallionshire. It's a small town on an island to the east. You probably haven't heard of it, but it's a beautiful place. Of course, I've travelled all over the place, too. What about you? Where do you come from? If you don't mind me asking, of course."

"Peeve..." Air Opal lay on his bed staring at the ceiling. "Eh, I don't have any major problems, you can even listen to your music, I think I know a spell that could cut me off from the sounds around me if I need peace." He sat up and examined the room they were in. "Quite a dull place, if you ask me."

"I'm here to study music and anthropology. Really I just want to travel, but my parents want me to have a real job, so if I'm an anthropologist, it gives me an excuse to travel all over the world and meet different all sorts of different kinds of ponies. I'd like to try and make a living as a traveling musician, but I'm not sure if I'm good enough."
