Star Keeper went to his classes, continued the same dreary routine, then left. It was quite uneventful, but he couldn't help but stop thinking about Cascade. He held genuine concern for her, even if he didn't know quite why. It didn't matter, now it was time to head off back to his dorm for now. He had a feeling that Rambler would be there, he just wasn't to sure what to do if he was. Gingerly Star opened the door and entered the room, sitting down on his bed and sorting though his saddle bags for no reason specifically.

Rambler looked up at the sound of the door opening to see Star coming in. Things were still probably going to be awkward between them, but he might as well give him a chance.

Star set down his saddle bag and faced Rambler, keeping his tone relaxed. "I've already forgotten about it. There is no need to hang on to that."  He looked across the room in some bid that they would move off the topic, but found his mind forcing him to speak. "You would be good for her, you know? She could use somepony like you, and will not stand in the way of that."

Rambler didn't know what to say. He certainly hadn't expected Star to say that.

 

"I... Thank you. That means a lot to me. She's special, you know? There's something about her that I can't explain, and I'm just drawn to her in a way I've never felt before."

 

Although, now that he thought about it, the feeling did seem distantly familiar. Like he had encountered it years ago, and it was just barely lingering in the back of his mind.

As Lite waited on Diamond for the shopping trip, she lies back on the bare mattress, looking at her side of the room. Then, she began to compare it to Diamond's, comparing the lovely, vibrant side of the room, to the blank and dull side of Lite's side...

Arrow feels the warmth of Lilas body and fur touching against his. After the kiss on the cheek he smirks and wraps a hoof around her pulling her as close as possible towards him. Arrow gives Lila a kiss on the fore head then turning his head away to look back outside.

Lila felt a little uncomfortable, having his hoof wraped around her. It didnt feel the same for some reason, like it was a duller feeling. She almost began to feel desperate for the feeling but had to move away when the nurse came to check Arrow over, eventually giving him the all clear with a small bottle of pills. The nurse then went over to the mare and Lila realized she didnt know this mares name but made a mental note to ask later. Lila went back up to Arrow giving him a tight hug.

He looked at her with a smile, still a little bit red from his blushing.

Diamond smiled and sipped her soup. She thought for a moment then added a pinch of pepper. "Nightfall, Why did we bother going out last time ? This is so much better than the food we had last night." She said, taking another sip of soup.

Diamond smiled and sipped her soup. She thought for a moment then added a pinch of pepper. "Nightfall, Why did we bother going out last time ? This is so much better than the food we had last night." She said, taking another sip of soup.

He blushed.

"Well, um... thanks... And please, don't thank me... you're the one who supplied the recipe. Can- can you tell me where to get more recipes like that one..?"

He ate his soup quite quickly and in silence, not really noticing that before he was very hungry.

Diamond smiled. "I have the recipe book. And I will happily give it to you,I have a couple copies of it." She said, Drinking some more of her soup.

 

 

A few minutes later, Diamond helped clear off the table. "That was a wonderful lunch Nightfall. Its my turn now. Tonight, I will make us both tofu and quinoa patties. I put a special ingredient inside." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Lite is probably waiting for me so I better get going...Love you." She kissed him again then trotted out the door and across the hall to her room.

"A special ingredient," he murmured as she left. He smiled, watching her go. And because she had helped clean up, he didn't have much else to do except wait until she got back and he went over for dinner. And that would be hours before it would happen. He sighed happily and lie down on his bed to rest.

Lite was still laing back on her bed, as she could heard hooves shuffle across the hall. The door opened, and in appeared Diamond, as she smiled at her.

 

"Hi, Diamond!", she said, a bit too happy. Are you ready to head out shopping?", she asked, jumping off her bed, shaking a little from excitement.

Diamond chuckled. "You seem really excited. And I just wanna change into my shopping clothes." She trotted over to her closet and pulled out a dark purple dress with a pink bow to mach her hat. She changed into the dress, then grabbed her sunhat and her handbag hoofbag. She smiled at Lite and trotted over to the door. "Lets be off then." She said.

"So... How's your new coltfriend?", she asked, figuring that was probably not the best thing to ask about at the moment...

Diamond chuckled. "He was pretty cute." She smiled and adjusted her hat. "So, Where too first ?" She asked as they walked across the bridge that led into the town. "There's a shop and all their things are hoof made, Its a little expensive but as an example...I got my hat there and it still looks brand new." She said.

"Arrow..." she paused her mind still racing, "Why don't you walk with me?" she asked clearly wanting to talk about something, and she didn't really like that something. She then led Arrow out of the clinic, slowly heading back to the dorms.

Diamond nodded and led Lite to a small shop next to a cafe. She pushed open the door and let Lite walk in first. "This shop is my home away from home." She said, As a young pink unicorn with a bright yellow mane and tail squealed and ran over, hugging Diamond tightly. "Sweet Pie, How's my little princess doing ?" Diamond asked, hugging the unicorn.

"I'm good, I just made some cimmanon rolls...Wanna try one." asked the unicorn, Smiling and hopping up and down on the spot, until she noticed Lite. Sweet blushed and hid behind Diamond. "Hehe, Lite this is Sweet Pie, Her mother own's the shop. Sweet, This is Lite" She said.

Sweet smiled shyly. "Hi...I'll go get two cimmonanamon rolls." She said, Skipping off to a back room.

"Oh, hello...", was all Lite could say at that moment, as she stared at most of the building, admiring the scenes around her. Never had she been in a store for more than 5 seconds without getting ran out or caught stealing...

 

"This is just all too amazing... I love this place. Like a bunch... And it's so warm in here... Better than a dumpster by a long shot."

Lila stopped them and looked at Arrow with sad eyes. She searched for the words she wanted say, but couldn't think of a way to say it without hurting him or her. "Arrow.... I..." *dammit why does this have to be so hard?* "I like you, but I don't think this is going to work out. Im just not feeling what I was feeling before. Im sorry." with that Lila backed away slowly and then turned and walked away with her head down in shame, wishing Arrow would stop her and try to convince her to not leave.
