Diamond smiled. "I uh...Well um...Sure." She said. Her wing's fluttered slightly. "There's a super tasty restaurant in town...And its rather inexpensive." *Yay.* She thought, Still smiling.

 

He was just about shocked by her answer, but because it was a yes, he was also delighted.

"She's a teacher. And besides, you don't know how old she is."

"What..? Friends can't go out and eat dinner together?"

"They can, but I have a bad-"

"You're ruining it. Enjoy the moment."

"Great! Where should we meet..? And at what time..?"

Well, What if he's twenty seven or something...I would be passing up the chance to go out with a super nice colt because there is a small chance I would be allot older than him...And even if I am allot older than him, We can still be friends...Cant we ?* She thought, Hanging up her apron.

Ty felt bad as he left for his dorm. He just realized he totally blew off Lila on a possible date, yet he was somehow satisfied that he did so. He liked Lila, but not that way, yet he was currently hating himself for blowing her off. Of course, Shade was the choice he made, and he had no doubt that she was a better alternative. All this was giving him a slight headache

*groan* This is what I get for acting the mickey. Whatever, better see what you can wear tonight. You have a date.

Lite stopped, blushing. For all this time, her shadow had overlapped Sky's for the entire walk, and she had heard every word of what he said... He thought she was beautiful? 

 

"T-thank you... Nopony ever said I was beautiful...", Lite barely said, smiling a little. This was DEFINITELY something she had to tell Diamond about later...

He chuckled. But she soon asked his age. He blushed a bit, and upon seeing her blush, which made her look a tad cuter, his blush grew worse.

In the end, the first day of magic was pretty boring. The teacher had been speaking the whole time about the study and history of magic, but it was pretty much what you'd expect from a top university like this. The teacher was pretty cool, cracked jokes that were actually good, and he seemed barely out of university himself, a helpful factor if you're trying to teach.

 

"Alright, class, read pages one through three tonight, and we'll review tomorrow. Dismissed, have a good lunch." I picked up my bag off the ground after shoveling my textbook into it. The history and etymology of magic sort of intrigued me, though where the word magic came from was a bit unexpected and, frankly, boring. I waited behind as students pushed out of the room as the teacher, and I should mention his name is Dark Angel, sat down on his desk, turning on the desktop on his desk and typing a few things in. As the hallway cleared, I left and headed straight for the cafeteria. I was still trying to get the locations of rooms and areas into my head, but I had gotten much better since I attempted to memorize the campus map during my Aerology class.

 

I followed the route I had worked out in my head and finally arrived in the cafeteria, which was packed with hungry ponies, eager to get their hooves on some food. I decided to wait until the line for food died down and sat at an empty table, observing the area.

"It will not be necessary to do so. It won't be like the Grand Galloping Gala or anything big like that!" Night Song answered. "But you can borrow my dress if you want," she wanted to say. No, Shade wouldn't look so good in a white and reddish pink dress...

"Well, erm... I don't know about that... Maybe just go how I am?"

 

"Uhg... I think I'm going to need a trip to the spa after class."

"Yes... I'm a softy... I'm somepony who likes to style myself... Rather than just change my mane with magic."

He got up and rinsed off in his shower. He had fully showered, but he felt like he couldn't be too sure. After his rinse off, he found a nice looking outfit that made him feel not over-dressed, but not under-dressed. He then got up and left his room, knocking on the door across the hall.

After a few hours of sitting in her and Cascades dorm room, Lila had finally calmed down enough to actually walk around campus. When she opened the curtains and looked at the clock and saw the time. "Buck! I missed magic class." she let out a sigh and let the handle on the door cool down before heading out. She wasn't sure where she was going to go but she needed some fresh air. She also began to wonder how her roommate was doing and where she was but the thoughts quickly left her mind. *Maybe I can go down to the Dueling area and watch ponies* she thought to herself out of boredom and made her way there.

"I came to Pranceton to get a better degree... I thought I could get some... I thought I could do better at fixing things and maybe even get a job that isn't self-hiring."

She blushed and looked down at the dirt road.
