As Lite's shade listened on conversations, Sweets would just be finding her way to the dorms. Her mood hadn't improved, especially when she would stop to look at a picture of her family, or read a good luck letter. She hadn't even started classes yet, and here she was... Homesick. Sweets flipped her mane out of her eyes. "Pull yourself together!" she stamped a hoof, looking up at an empty dorm. "Look, here's one with my name on it. Wow. My name on a dormroom door..." she smiled slowly at the very thought. "... Eeeeee~" she squealed again, her mood beginning to brighten. "I'll be just fine. Everypony has faith in me. And I have faith in myself!" she stamped a hoof resolutely, wings spread and flapping. Those wings would stop halfway. "Now, if only I could find a friend or two."

 

The shade picked up on what this new pony was saying... Lite was able to sense it... The shade blended into Sweets' shadow, merging into a normal-looking shadow. And then, she decided to make conversation by just thinking what she wanted to say.

Hearing someone coming out of the building behind him, Rambler turned around to see that Cascade had arrived.

 

"Oh, uh, hi Cascade,  I'm sorry I wasn't where I said I'd meet you. There was something on my mind and I had to play some music to get over it. You look even more beautiful than ever."

Cascade smiled. "It's alright. And thank you." Her wings, again appearing as flippers, attempted to flutter, but she restrained them, and moved up to sit next to Rambler on the bench. She eyed the pony he had been playing for for a moment before looking at Rambler. "You ready?"

Rambler smiled and felt another surge of warmth when Cascade sat down next to him.

 

"Yeah, yeah, I'm ready. So do you want to eat now, or should we do something else first? I mean, I don't really care as long as we can be together, so it's up to you. Or I guess I can play you a song or something if you want."

When they had both finished their meal's, The waitress came over with the bill. "I'll pay." Diamond said, Grabbing her coin purse and handing the bit's to the waitress. "Well...This was fun." She smiled and stood up. "We should do this again soon. Shall we go back to the school ?" She asked.

 

He blushed and laughed nervously.

"It was fun."

"And awkward..."

She asked him if he wanted to go back to the school, and laughed nervously again.

"Where else would we go..? Unless you had something planned, in which case..."

He faded out, growing more red with every word.

Diamond chuckled at how nervous Nightfall was feeling. "You need to relax...Come on, We can go get drunk in my dorm or something..." She smiled and...Taking a risk, She intertwined her tail with Nightfall's. "Let's go." She said, Trotting out of the Restaurant with Nightfall..

Cascade shrugged. "I'm not really hungry yet. Why don't you play another song? I love hearing you play."  She agreed entirely. It didn't really matter what they did, as long as they were together in doing it.

Rambler was glad to hear that she loved his music, but it also meant that he didn't want to disappoint her. He really had to think about what song he wanted to do. Then it occurred to him exactly what he should play.

*yawn* "Yeah, its no problem." Lila said grogily. She listened to the scratching of pen on paper for how ever long so she wouldnt get bored. Lila closed her eyes for a bit...

 

Lila opened her eyes again looking around. *Huh... I guess Cascade had stuff to do.* just as she thought that the door opened again with cascade looking rather down. Lila was about to ask until she saw her wings. *oh... I guess ill have to make more.* when Cascade said she was leaving again, Lila only smiled and nodded until the door closed.

He trotted next to her, blushing all the way. Her tail in his... if anything, it made them more of a couple to the public. Which could only mean...

He laughed, but not nervously.

Diamond smiled. "That's fine...We will just have to make brownies or cake or something instead...We could make a rum cake." She chuckled as they walked passed a staring group of ponies.

Cascade sat, transfixed by the music. It was so cheerful, and it spoke his feelings, seemingly better than he could himself. Once it had finished, she smiled, and hugged him. "That was beautiful," She whispered in his ear. I'm a Rose? Or am I a kitty? Or both? Eh. Metaphors.

Rambler smiled as she hugged him and told him it was beautiful, and he whispered back, "it's nowhere near as beautiful as you". Maybe that was a little too cheesy, but it was true, nothing was as beautiful as her. 

 

Eventually the hug was over and he asked her, "Well, what do you want to do now?"

She walked to the pool waiting for Ty to show up... She continued to think about the ways she could screw it up. She could acsdently change, she could say something totally stupid.... She needed to stop thinking...

Back at their dorm, Night Song was at her desk, doing homework and studying. She got a big amount of homework to do from music and history. She had to identify the various notes on a music sheet, fill out a paper that explored her tastes in music, and fill out the student segment of a form for permission to be in photos and videos and stuff. Not only that, she had to fill out some more forms from history and had to complete a sheet on P.R.D(Pre Discord) history and events. She sighed when she finally finished everything. Only thing left to do was write to Chaser Wing.

Cascade rolled her eyes, and pulled back, smiling. "Well, we can go get some dinner now if you like." Her wings fluttered slightly before she noticed and pulled them back in to her sides. Her smile grew a little strained as she looked at Rambler, trying to see if he'd noticed. Hopefully not. Either way, she stood up, ready to walk to wherever it was they would be eating.

He wasn't fully surprised by this. In fact, he had been, since a couple of moments ago, expecting this. But it still came as a slight shock. He kissed her back, surprising himself a little.

"And now we are a couple..."

He didn't dare break the kiss. This was special for him.

After about a minute that felt like forever, Diamond leaned back and smiled. "Wow." She said, Hugging him tightly. "That was...Awesome." *Oh my sweet Celestia...I ACTUALLY HAVE A COLTFRIEND.* She thought, Nuzzling the side or Nightfall's neck. *This is...The best night ever.*

Sky laid on his bed and stared at the ceiling. "I wonder how Lite is?" He thought aloud, for the whole day Lite was all that was on his mind. So he got off his bed and began to pace around the room in an attempt to decide whether he should go see Lite. "If I do then it will give me something to do and maybe she'll be happy to see me. Though what if she doesn't want to see me? What if I just embarrass her infront of her roommate?"
