I'd be up for it. I've always wanted to try a RP tabletop style.. It would definitely help in (for lack of a non-mmo term) PvP situations. I think it would be worth a shot. Especially if the system is already working in another RP. 

I'm tweaking and adding a few things to make Silverwisp's system more Fallout-y. The big things I'm working on are more playable races, a better spell system, and more varied perks, advantages, and disadvantages to aid in roleplaying.

I'm making it as uncomplicated as I can. If you browse through Silverwisp's rules, my rules would only be slightly more complex as far as spells goes (because one spell of any magnitude per day makes no sense to me).

 

And no, I haven't taken over. Even if we don't go the dice-rolling route I'll still write out these rules because it's fun for me. If we choose to use Silverwisp's or my system, then awesome. If not, we'll still have a Fallout Equestria RP.

I'm all for G.O.A.T. Type skills and perks but... Dice rolling? It seems over-complicated and is impractical.

From experience, dice-rolling is very easy. Just Google an online dice roller and press go. Add a number or two and bam, you're done. And if you don't want to make any rolls, you don't have to. Rolling just adds to the fun and suspense.

i think the dice idea is just fine as long as it is optional. Also I made an oc for this. He basically runs a group that wants to destroy the "uncivilized" and his looking for an heir will bring interactions with other ponies. http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/the-baron-r2609

Honestly, for something like fallout, I think it'd be much simpler to ditch the dice system and go with whatever the GM says happens based on the skills check. Also, I'd be thrilled to bring in my Pegatron, he hasn't had a lot of action at all, I'd be very happy to have him up and about, killing stuff and dancing away.

That could actually work. The GM would need some system of randomness (i.e. dice) otherwise s/he might become biased or make some weird calls. But it would definitely be a lot simpler than trusting everyone to make their own fair dice rolls.

 

@Ghostpony, are you still around for this? If not I might be able to whip up a story.

Adamantium Skeleton - With the Adamantium Skeleton perk, your limbs only receive 50% of the damage they normally would.

Computer Whiz - Fail a hack attempt and get locked out of a computer? Not if you're a Computer Whiz! With this perk, you can attempt to re-hack any computer you were previously locked out of.

Strong Back - With the Strong Back perk, you can carry 50 more pounds of equipment

Perks (Party):
Protective Directive: Your main objective as a Pega-tron is to protect those in your party. Any time a party member is near you in combat, they gain a +5 DR from your selfless urge to keep them out of harm's way.

Inventory: Built in gatling-laser, built in mini-gun, two built in laser pistols (Head), party hat, collapsible sniper rifle and missile launcher


Character Summary:

History - After years of deactivation, our quirky has risen again to frolic and dance as he please. He is a prototype of the Pega-tron series, oddly programmed to dance and enjoy music, even built with it's own radio. Wandering the wastes alone with no recollection of the past, he shakes his mechanical hooves freely now, that is to say when he's not protecting his precious furry/feathery friends who he holds near and dear, or being shot at himself. The oldest memory he holds now is that of when he woke up in a one-man fallout shelter...

Flaws - He comes off as...odd. He appears at the strangest of times, particularly when a group is getting ready to go on a journey and or mission, though it's debatable whether that's actually a flaw or not. He doesn't talk often except to those he deems as a friend (generally the first person he meets), and when he does socialize, he's pretty awkward about it. He can be a bit annoying with how much he dances and listens to music, someponies just wonder why couldn't he be programmed like regular Pega-trons. To which he says to himself: "It's because I'm special."

Personality - Quirky, but fun-loving. He cares dearly for those in his group, as a proper gentlebot should. Sometimes though, he feels its not enough, that his 100% isn't all that it could be. As a result, he tends to exert himself for the sake of others and faces the consequences for his actions on his own, not wanting anything to befall his comrades. If there is anything he loves, it's a good dance and a nice tune that truly makes the world alright with him, no matter the situation. As such, you will often see him strutting his stuff to the beat of the radio.

Alright, I'll start thinking up scenarios and what-not. Are we all still good with the basic plot of trying to reach some "safe haven" city?

Yeah, that is not a bad plan. I have a very vague and broad plot drawn up - nothing special, no crazy plot twists. But RPs can be funny like that.

 

@Ghostpony, could I create a new OOC thread so I can manage links and rules and what-not? Or would you prefer it to stay in this thread?

I haven't read Fallout Equestria and know virtually nothing about it beyond what I know from the actual Fallout games, but I would be interested in joining if you'll have me.
