Derpy hooves A remake of Bubbles from Power puff girls?

I have a picture here that can kind of give everyone another brief idea of what is going on. It may come as a shook to some but i speak the truth. I was watching Power puff girls and noticed bubbles was being a derpy person, I dont know how this came to mind but after, I was watching MLP FiM and noticed derpy hooves's cutie mark was bubbles, At first i thought it was some freak accident that it just happened to be the same but i looked into it some more noticing that Derpy and bubbles both have blonde hair. coincidence  i think not! Interesting, As i wonder how many other characters also fall under the same thing The same thing by that i mean Big band theory and Dextors laboratory and others that i can not think of at this moment in time.
Please post feed back. Want to know if you agree or not here is a picture to back my evidence up

It could easily be a reference. Lauren Faust did work on both shows after all. Not sure if I would call it a "remake" since Derpy was never meant to be an important character, but still funny.

You know what i mean by remake haha, I mean like a coincidence. She did? im guessing it was animation, that would be cool if it was

Derpy as Bubbles? Nah, cutie mark aside, I don't think so. If anything, Bubbles is what you get when you combine Fluttershy with Pinkie Pie.

I don't really see it, seems more like a coincidence then on purpose. Thought wouldn't be surprised if they had put something from Faust's other works.

Well, the two shows were both made by the same Creator, so it may be possible that Lauren put Derpy in there as a reference to Bubbles.

 

Also I loved the Power Puff Girls as a little girl, so it would kinda be like a trip back memory lane if Lauren really put Derpy as a reference to Bubbles.

Like some others have said, it is entirely believable that Lauren Faust has drawn inspiration from Bubbles to create Derpy's cutie mark and design. But I feel like those are the only things that reference Bubbles. The rest of Derpy is original. Bubbles was voiced by Tara Strong, who is also Twily!

The could be a possible reference. I wouldn't be surprised if it were. I've noticed quite a few "references" on the show. It's pretty creative.

Is Derpy based on Bubbles?  I don't really see it.  While she does appear with derped eyes a few times and does some bubble-brained things, the similarities aren't very strong.  I see a LOT more of Bubbles' personality in Pinkie Pie's behavior and her love for animals in Fluttershy. 

 

Derpy's cutie mark might be a reference to Bubbles, but it doesn't necessarily mean she's supposed to "be" her.

You just now realized this? This has been discussed for awhile now. I do feel like Derpy and Bubbles have some of the same characteristics, both physical and non-physical, but not entirely. It would make sense, since Lauren Faust was involved in the production of the PowerPuff Girls and the creator of Mlp:fim.

The difference is that Bubbles isn't stupid so much as naive and innocent. Derpy's cutie mark always did seem strange to me though.
