gaming MAPLESTORY UPDATE NEW LEVEL CAP (250)

Yep, the bastards finally did something that would probably piss off all of the top 10 on the Maple World leader boards. They raised the level cap to 250. (Used to be 200)

The top 5 worked hard as fuck to get where they are now, especially Fangblade, the first person in GMS EVER to reach level 200.

Now his rank will be shitted on. :/

Why you ask? Because I can easily get to lvl 250 in no time (5 days tops). But Fangblade is a veteran, he played in the (olden days) like I did and it was HARD AS FUCK to get to JUST LVL 20.

Level 10 would take about a day.

Level 20 would take about a week.

Level 50 would take you...ehh....let's say about 2 months of gameplay. (you were considered epic tier at that point)

Level 70 - Hmm....3.5 months.

Level 100....oh god...this used to be Demi-God tier. 7 Months.

Level 150...Let's say at least 10 months.

Level 200...shiiiiit, you would probably get banned from everyone thinking you were a hacker or some shit.

(this was god tier, you would be respected forever if you got here in the olden days XD)

But now, I got to level 100 in about 3 days.

Got to level 200 in 5.

Not to hard in my opinion. They dumbed it down TBH. To the point where it doesn;t take skill anymore.

The classes are wonderful don't get me wrong, but they can be OP, and it takes a lot of time for it to actually get noticed and get nerfed.

What I'm basically trying to say it that this level cap better have a challenge to it. Because the big bang update  fucked everything up.

They literally GAVE YOU YOUR FIRST JOB. Jobs used to be the bomb to get XD.

TL;DR: MOAR CHALLENGE, KEEP EVERYTHING THOUGH (fangblade will be pissed)

It's so weird seeing talk about maplestory here, anyway I can't even reach 200 so I guess I don't really care. Anyway I think there will always be a more OP class, it's impossible to balance it, anyway we get a new job like every month which I'm not a big fan of.

It's a shame for FangBlade to no longer have his status of legend (though I actually think Tiger will still be more remembered than FangBlade) but he'll still be remembered by those who truly know the values of dedication

It's not as if you need to be high level to achieve glory and fame, anyhoo. Take Dray86 for example. Probably the most well-known Mapler ever, and he didn't reach 200 until like, forever. I don't even think he reached it at all.

I haven't played that game since... Like 9 years ago... Idk... I was like lvl 134 or something like that... I stopped playing because it got boring...

 

Maybe I should give it a try again... Idk... I should go for the new 250 lvl... XD

I used to be one of the olden players. Back then i still never got past 120. Once all these classes started popin up outa no where the game seemed less fun. I left after... Chaos update? Jeez its been what a year or two? Is the game still actually good? I'm curious to see how many classes Nexon came up with though.

I remember that game. It was the first online game I've ever played. I played it back when I was 15.

 

I think the highest level I've gotten to was 25. I don't like MMO's because there's really no story, or a real reason to be playing. Sure, it's fun if you can persuade your friends to play it with you, but that gets old after awhile.

 

Single player games have engaging stories that give me a reason to keep playing, and I generally prefer to play video games alone, so MMO's definitely aren't for me.
