Two weeks ago, I went to a nature preserve on a random little photography excursion. Why did I only upload the pictures now? Because I'm incredibly lazy, that's why! I've been experimenting with some more blue palettes, as you can see:

Where was this?

 

  Around Phoenix, Arizona. I don't like getting too specific. 

 

 

Are you a professional?

 

Oh, definite no. It's just a huge hobby of mine (as a teenager... let's just say I had to save up a lot of allowance for the lens that took those pictures). The closest I come to being a professional is being the designated one to take family photographs.

 

 

What sound does the ducks make?   

 

Most of them just made normal duck noises, I guess. The geese were very loud, if memory serves me. They also stalked me around; I was backing up from one when I took the second picture.

Sweet pics!  Just wanted to say the one in the middle is my favorite.  The water is so still it almost looks like that duck is sitting on glass.  I didn't think waterfowl habitats would be easy to find in the desert, lol!

I remember every once in a blue moon I will go on a major photography excursion. My last one was when I was 13 or 14 probably, I took over 400 pictures in one day at a university garden area.

Sweet pics!  Just wanted to say the one in the middle is my favorite.  The water is so still it almost looks like that duck is sitting on glass.  I didn't think waterfowl habitats would be easy to find in the desert, lol!

 

It is at a sort of park, so it's not like I suddenly found an oasis or anything. Although, when it does rain (like it has been this week), you get a lot of temporary ponds because the soil here is so terrible at absorbing any moisture.
