[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

Thunder Dash went to help Shining Star. "Alright everypony, gather around here." Thunder Dash said as he took a stick he found. "Listen up, it's peaceful now. Neither sides are fighting. Since we are newcomers here, we must house in a place smack-dab right in the center of Saddle Arabia, and that place happens to be an inn. He then drew a rough sketch of the area with the stick. "We must avoid coming in contact with people from either side. We must head straight for the inn. We will stay there for three days, and then continue with our journey to the new land. Does everyone have the plan?" Thunder Dash asked.

"So we are going to stay in the inn for three days, and we can not come in contact with any of the ponies from either side? That sounds like it would be hard to do being that the inn would be in the middle of both areas." Shining star said as she looked at the drawing

"Well, the inn is for guests and neither side is allowed to go in it. This way, we'll be protected from being asked to join either side." Thunder Dash said. "Therefore, we cannot explore the town; if we do, then it'll be most likely we'll get split." Thunder Dash turned to Shining Star. "So no wandering off." He said looking in Shining Star's eyes. "Alright, does everyone have the plan?" Thunder Dash asked.

Shining Star looked away. "Yea, i got the plan." She said but added in her head "Doesn't mean i have to like it though" She then went about into her saddlebags and started making sure that she still had everything after her crash landing. After a few minutes, she decided she had everything.

"Alright, let's head to the inn." Thunder Dash said. He then decided to slip on his robe just to be safe. They were able to make it. When they arrived at the inn, they were greeted by the attendant and were guided to the room. The room they were staying in had 4 beds, two bathrooms, and a balcony to look outside. "This place is nice!" Thunder Dash commented as he put his stuff down on one of the beds.

Goldseek flopped right onto one of the beds, tired. "I guess it is nice" He said blankly. He was tired. Too tired to do anything worth while. "Where are we going next, then?" Really, he couldn't care less. But it can't hurt to plan ahead. Besides, maybe it would give him something to think about other then the fact that he had to work with a changeling.

Shining star happily plopped on one of the beds closer to the window. "I call this bed." She said then she started to take off her bags and pulled out a doll which she had made herself and looked exactly like nightmare moon. After unpacking she went outside on the balcony.

Sandstorm quietly entered the room and settled on one of the beds. He had friend in the city that another time he would have liked to go and visit, but there was always a danger they would not take too kindly to him, having quite apparently declared his allegiance to Equestria by accepting this mission and he knew most of them were at least partial loyalists. He could return later, when this whole thing blew over, it always did.

 

"Understood" he said to thunderdash.

Thunder Dash then got his map out of his bag, plopped himself on his bed and started to study it. He thought to himself. "I've got magic and that spirit's roaming free. I've gotta do something. Only Princess Celestia can disable magic. Oh well, if we're gonna have to fight, we'll just have to do our best. I just wish Princess Celestia knew how to defeat Xavious." Thunder Dash thought to himself. 

 

The sun was setting and Thunder Dash noticed Shining Star on the balcony. He decided to join her. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He asked.

"yea, it is. Thunder dash. Why did i get choose for this mission? You being the leader already know about me, aside from me being a changeling, until that flight where i couldn't control it again. So that means that you already know about my past, and everything about it."

"Well, that's just how things are sometimes. You just gotta keep going, no matter what lies ahead. Speaking of what lies ahead, are you eager to see what the new world is like?" Thunder Dash asked. While he waited for Shining Star to respond, more thoughts of the new world filled his mind.

She looked back inside at goldseeker and looked back out the sky. "no." was all she could say while she hung her head low and remembered her life before becoming a changeling. "The world was already mean to me once, i am not going to let that happen again."

"Why won't you ever be positive for once? If you stay negative, nothing good is gonna happen. If you're positive, everything will be fine. Forget the past, look at now. Look at the grand adventure before us. Don't let the past burden you so much, or else you'll end up being very depressed." Thunder Dash said.

"My past led me to being a changeling Thunder Dash! My past made me want to change everything in hopes of everything being better, but it ended up with my only friend being killed, and me being beaten close to death. The only reason i am alive is because of a changeling had come to my rescue

"Well, let me tell you something that my father once told me. "You are who you are, and nothing can change that about you. Even if you had a hard past, you are still you, even if you're different on the outside. It's not what's on the outside, it's what's in your heart that makes you you, it's what you think and do." Thunder Dash explained as he looked far into the horizon. "So don't let the past bug you nor keep tormenting you. It will just get worse. Let go of the past, just let it go." Thunder Dash said.

Angry now, she walks back inside and flops onto the bed clinging to her nightmare moon doll. "how can somepony let go of the past when your so close to death! Nopony seems to understand. the only pony that understands is you nightmare moon. you understand what i am going through." she thinks to herself trying to calm herself down, but nothing seems to work. "tonight i have to get out of here and let off steam, other wise i WILL hurt somepony" she concludes

Thunder Dash just looks at Shining Star. "Ugh, she's gonna be hard to deal with. I'm gonna have to give her a chance...but she's not gonna ruin this adventure, that's for sure. I'm not against her, but she is starting to get me a little worried." Thunder Dash thought to himself as he returned inside and plopped himself on the bed.

 

By now, night had fallen. Soon, it would be time to go to bed. "I just hope Shining Star does well tonight." Thunder Dash thought to himself.

Shining Star tucked under the blankets and made herself invisible. she then hopped off the bed, looked at all the ponies still awake and proceeded to jump off the balcony landing gracefully on the ground. she then walked northeast and away from the hotel. "Still having anger management issues Shining Star?" Asked another invisible changeling. "Moondancer, i don't need any of this right now" shining star retorted. "Well what you need to do is give the world another chance. Just stay with these ponies, and maybe they can change your mind."

Sandstorm silently stole out of the inn for an evening flight. He would fly over the saddle Arabian district he told himself, just to see if he could catch a glimpse of any of his old acquaintances. He took care to silence his flight with a sustained bit of wind magic.

Thunder Dash was just about to go wash himself up for bed when he noticed Sandstorm had left. "Hmm, I wonder where Sandstorm went? Well, he does have some family in Saddle Arabia, so I guess he just went to visit." He said to himself as he prepared to wash up.

Shining Star heard Thunder Dash in the wash, and tried to sneak in the room forgetting about goldseeker still being in the room. She made it to her bed, and holding her doll close to her side snuggled up in her bed. She turned and faced outside where she could see somewhat of everything going on outside and just remained there

After washing up, Thunder Dash headed off to bed thinking about how Sandstorm was doing out in the dark. He probably was okay because he was from Saddle Arabia. He then thought about tomorrow, where they would eat, and what they would do around the area.

Shining Star, though she didnt want to, managed to fall asleep and drifted off into a nice dream land where everything was all peaceful. Though that dream eventually turned into a nightmare as the king that they were after rose to power again and attacked everything

Although he spotted a few old friends, Al'khazid and Desert Willow Sandstorm did not land to greet them, sensing it would be a bad time to attract attention. Shortly he returned to the inn and settled down for a short sleep, setting up a strong wind to awake him if anything drew too close to him.

Morning finally arrived and Thunder Dash woke early to check what was for breakfast. He was surprised, for they served pancakes and cereal. He then returned to the room. "Wake up everypony, it's morning." He said as he entered the door and got his things to head for breakfast.
